The Well-Planned Demonetisation To Hurt Downtrodden And Empower Digital Marketing in India

Someone from Tamil Nadu narrated the story that “a person who was cleaning the aircraft and he found a catalogue (it mentions as to how to take off the aircraft) near the pilot seat. He took that and followed the instructions right from starting to take off the flight. He took the flight and got very excited, but the catalogue did not mention as to how to land the flight. He started to tremble and frightened of not knowing anything further”. The person is none other than Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India who had taken the decision and implemented the demonetization in invalidating Rs.500/- and Rs. 1000/- currency notes which were 86% in circulation in India. This was an imbecilic thing that he had done without analyzing the consequences.

On one hand, the technology of ‘Digital India’ (so called cashless society) is used to victimize the poor and middle class population in India due to the invalidation of high value currency notes. On 08th November 2016, the Prime Minister of India made an announcement of demonetizing higher value notes and the majority including poor welcomed and appreciated the move. The society always fails to realize the hidden agenda of the political game.

On the other hand, the science and technology is tremendously improving across the global level to improve the lives of human beings. The neurological researchers from Switzerland have come up with the innovation to make movement in the monkey’s paralyzed legs (implantation of microchips in the monkey’s spine). Very soon, it will be implemented in humans who are paralyzed. This kind of innovative effort has to be appreciated whole heartedly.

The idea of democracy and egalitarianism is a fallacy in India. The concept of capitalism grows quite extraordinarily in India and even people from poor background are welcoming very warmly.

Impact of Vardah Cyclone in Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh States:

On 12th December 2016, the Vardah cyclone occurred in coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh states and took away the lives of 18 people. There were several trees uprooted and resulted in severe devastation to the people’s day-to-day lives and their livelihoods. It is a natural disaster as well as manmade disaster (demonetization). The affected people suffered to run their life and demonetization is one of the most dangerous things which made everyone to the chaos. During and after the cyclone, the milk was sold for Rs. 200/- and people could not even buy to feed their children. It was a temporary disaster for major portions of people in Tamil Nadu and Andra Pradesh states. Many ATMs were closed and huge throngs were rushing to few ATMs which were unthinkable for them to withdraw money.

Despite Vardah cyclone, the rain brought happiness to farmers in the rural areas but the manmade disaster (demonetization) is still a very big hassle to start farming. Either they have old currency notes or do not have account in the bank.

Empowering Digital Marketing:

Reliance Founder Mukesh Ambani congratulated and praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his demonetisation drive in the country and said that “it is the strongest possible push to the growth of a digitally-enabled, optimal cash economy. This decision is an important step in his ongoing efforts to change the mindset of the people of India. With one single step, he has brought all the unproductive money into productive use. This will enhance credit flow in the economy and legitimate credit is the fuel that powers the engine of economic growth. This will provide credit to our farmers, small shopkeepers, traders and daily-wage earners. Again, the biggest benefit of this goes to the ordinary Indian.”

He made this speech when he announced that the Jio schemes would be extended till 31st March 2017. The people felt happy started praising him as if he is a role model for the development and failed to understand real intention of his move. He introduced Jio schemes along with the Jio Wallet money app. When you do this, they would automatically get the money without any effort. We the people sweat to get the money and willingly we sacrifice our large portions of the money to these bloodsuckers.

Invisible Robbery and Achievements of Demonetisation:

The invisible robbery or loot is to empower the digitalized companies such as Paytm, Jio wallet and other apps which would be used to deliver and receive the money. If you transfer the money to others, the apps would get 2.25% profit of every transaction without any effort.

  • The Prime Minister has introduced a Jio Wallet and paytm (Pay To Modi) app to 1.29 billion people
  • The Indians must raise the slogan of Jiohind instead of Jaihind
  • The more money can be deposited in the bank but very less can be withdrawn till 31st December 2016.
  • It was found out the majority of black money holders are the poor people and they are being punished by killing themselves, dumping produced vegetables and starvation.
  • The rural people were shown the way to the nationalized banks which were not approached before in their life.
  • For the past 25 days since an announcement, the ATMs were not calibrated and made the digital machines to take rest.
  • Letting people die due to the chaos at the bank
  • The government has demonetized up to 06% of black money in cash, but could not take any actions to those who corrupted in the form of the jewelries and assets.
  • Till 09th December 2016, there were more than 90 people died due to demonetisation disastrous movement. The incidents have taken place in several forms such as, death after collapsing at the banks and ATMs, unable to buy grocery things including milk for children.

Cashless Society:

  • The Smartphone users in India are only 292 million people that mean not even 24% of our whole population. Virtually the system has created in such a way to make all the people to buy the Smartphone regardless of the economic background.
  • The money transferring apps need to be taught to everyone. This is something a lofty goal to be achieved.
  • One of the main challenges is that how people can transfer the money when there is no electrical facility and how the Smartphone can be charged in order to exchange so-called digital money.
  • The typo mistake can occur (Rs. 5000/- instead of Rs. 500/-) even if you are well-educated people and your money would be deducted from the account and who would you go and complain.
  • Sweden is one of the cashless countries in the world, but according to the 2013 data, it consists of 9.593 million people only. There is no reason to compare Sweden to our country and we are aware that our country consists of many countries (different language, food, dresses, etc) in one country with many cultural backgrounds. It is quite unimaginable to make everyone in one track of the digital India path.
  • In some of the villages, the people got into bartering practice. Is this called the development in India? We tend to go backwards instead of moving forward.
  • There is no freedom of privacy because many money apps can have our account number and password (secrecy word is partially vanished due to digital India), but previously only the bank could hold our account and other details. There is a possibility of getting cheated due to online hacking system. For instance, the hackers would take all the money from someone’s account if they only know about their (common people) bank account numbers.
