If We Have To Survive

The waves which lashed on to me
Speaking words of truth
I moved back and fro
In tune with their songs.
My blood flowed with the tune
My heart followed the music
My brain made me restless
My heart made me reckless
My sleeps went dry
My tears followed the waves
Of the dead bodies and their graves.

The power is within you and me
Let us hold our hands
To stop the waves of death
For a new tomorrow
For a breath of fresh air
And to hoist the flag of life.

The clouds keep on moving
And the dreams do not halt
The winds of change will come
If we have to survive.

The children will sleep tomorrow
Without the waves of the dead
Women will laugh tomorrow
Without bowing near the graves
If we hold our hands
For a new tomorrow
If we have to survive
To hoist the new flag of life.
