Stand up and fight

When you feel
your generation
is being crushed
by the twin excavators
of the political imbecility
and haphazard bureaucracy.

When you realize
that the government
is insensitive
to the peoples wishes
and is making mockery
of their destiny.

When your see
the naked dance
of corruption
dismantling
the very base
of our society.

When you see
unemployment dancing
everywhere
and realize that
generations of
people’s opportunities
are disassembling.

When you love
the scents of democracy
but not the corrupt leaders
and bureaucrats
who do nothing concrete
to pull our society
from the debris
of an abysmal laxity.

When you‘re not interested
in their political maneuvering
and promise yourself
not to be a pawn
in their power game
and raise your barren fists
in the air against their hypocrisy.

Then you know
it’s time to do something.
Then you know
it’s time to do something.

It’s time to stand up
and fight with the system.

Stand up and fight.
Stand up and fight.
