Ahmet Sores (Zeki Gürbüz), member of the Central Committee of the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Turkey/Kurdistan (MLKP) and Firat Newal (Özgür Namoglu), young commander of the armed revolutionary forces of Kurdistan, were both murdered by the fascist forces of the Turkish regime in an armed drone attack launched in the region Rojava on January 3.
For a sustained period the MLKP has been waging revolutionary resistance against the fascist Turkish government.
Those who dedicate their most valuable assets, their lives, to the ideals of freedom and revolution, are imperishable. In this struggle, with every enemy attack, the MLKP is even more determined to pursue the ideal of freedom and revolution, and we will intensify scale of resistance.
Through executing genocidal-massacre the Turkish state thinks that it will destroy the aspirations of the peoples seeking freedom, brutally murdering the leaders, commanders and fighters of freedom and revolution.
All revolutionary democrats should offer their condolences to the family and friends of Ahmet Sores and Firat Newal, and to the Central Committee and entire membership of the MLKP Turkey/Kurdistan. Indeed, their deaths are a blow to the revolutionary movement.. Their selfless dedication emancipation of the proletariat and all oppressed and exploited classes and people inspire the revolutionary forces to prolong relentless resistance towards victory. They may have gone but their spirit will forever blossom like an inextinguishable spark.
Zeki Gürbüz and Özgür Namoglu transformed from being ordinary people into revolutionary fighters for the people. Till their last breath they fought for the oppressed and exploited peoples of Turkey/Kurdistan. Their lives of selfless dedication to the cause of liberation are worth emulating.
History, the peoples of Rojava and revolutionaries witnessed their death defying resilience against the enemy and their relentless work for revolution.
Ahmet Şoreş not only waged a battle for the revolution and freedom struggle of the peoples in the lands where he was born and raised. He selflessly worked for the consolidation of the brotherly peoples and the Rojava revolution. He addressed every aspect of Rojava’s liberation. He played a role befitting a commander and a freedom fighter. Knowing that freedom could only be achieved by fighting, he focussed on the problems and tasks of war.
Comrade Fırat Neval from a young age, integrated with the revolutionary struggle from Western Europe to the lands of Rojava without hesitation for the victory of the revolution, is an important message for all young revolutionaries. He exuded death defying resilience inspiring young people whose future was robbed and who were seeking freedom.
The struggle for liberation, democracy and socialism waged against the fascists, oppressors and exploiters is non extinguishable. The ruling classes will never silently submit to the will of the people. Thousands will perish in the resistance but many more roses will bloom as the blood shed by martyrs and heroes breathes a new life into people.to change the course o their lives.
