The Zionist-subverted, US lackey, mendacious and traitorous Australian Labor Government has followed the Zionist-subverted American Government in falsely and extraordinarily denying the horrendous actuality of Apartheid Israeli Occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) that is acknowledged by the other 3 members of the Anglosphere 5-Eyes Club, the UK, New Zealand, and Canada, by major EU countries, and indeed by most countries.
This extraordinary, blatant, in-your-face, Orwellian lying and denial of reality by the Australian Labor Government and the US Government in the interests of a nuclear terrorist, genocidally racist, serial war criminal, and grossly human rights-abusing neo-Nazi state, Apartheid Israel, demands exposure, censure, and sanctions by the world, and indeed by the citizens of Australia and the US in particular.
In his novel “1984” George Orwell’s Big Brother declares that Slavery is Freedom, Ignorance is Strength, War is Peace and 2 plus 2 does not equal 4. Australia’s cowardly, mendacious, racist, Zionist-subverted, US lackey, and traitorous Labor Government promulgates a similar set of blatant falsehoods in denial of the horrendous realities of Israeli-imposed nuclear terrorism, serial war criminality, Apartheid worse than that in the former Apartheid South Africa, gross human rights abuse, and blatant denial of the highly abusive and 56-year Apartheid Israeli Occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In this egregious Orwellian lying about the sorely oppressed Indigenous Palestinians the badly soiled Australian Labor Government has replaced Humanity’s core moral ethos of Kindness and Truth with one of Racism and Lying [1, 2].
These matters are systematically documented and discussed below.
(1). Zionist invasion, occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
Palestine has been named as such or by variants (notably the Arabic Falastin) for about 3,000 years. Palestine was part of the Fertile Crescent in which the Agrarian Revolution occurred 10,000 years ago. In 1880 the 0.5 million population of Palestine was about 90% Muslim and 10% Christian, with about 25,000 Jews, half of them immigrants. After the racist British seized Palestine in WW1 and offered it to genocidally racist Zionist colonizers, a massive post-WW1 influx of Jewish settlers and land acquisition caused substantial dislocation of the Indigenous Palestinian population as agricultural tenant farmers were kicked off their land. The subsequent Arab revolt in the 1930s was put down by British forces and British-trained and British-armed Zionist militias. 10% of the adult male Palestinian population were killed. The 1939 UK White Paper restricted Jewish entry to minimize possible Muslim disaffection in the British Empire during WW2. Mass Jewish immigration resumed after WW2 and the UN imposed Partition in 1947.
The British withdrew in 1947, and British armed and trained Zionist militias seized 78%% of the country, expelling 800,000 Palestinians. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba (Catastrophe) in which Zionist militias expelled about 800,000 Indigenous Palestinians (57% of the 1,400,000 Indigenous Palestinian population) from the land that had been continuously inhabited by their forebears for thousands of years. 15,000 Palestinians were killed by the genocidal Zionists in 70 massacres, 530 villages were ethnically cleansed, and 120 mosques were eventually destroyed in a country that boasts the world’s oldest mosque, the 1,400 year old Al-Aqsa Mosque that is the third holiest site in Islam. A further 400,000 Arabs were expelled from the West Bank and the Syrian Golan Heights in the 1967 Naksa (Setback) in which Apartheid Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza, small part of Lebanon and part of Syria (the Golan Heights). Today the Exiled Palestinians violently excluded from Palestine number about 7 million. About 7 million Palestinian refugees within and outside Palestine represent about 10% of the world’s refugees [3-10].
Today the GDP per capita is a deadly $3,500 for Occupied Palestinians versus $55,500 for the Occupier Israelis [11]. Each year Apartheid Israel violently kills about 500 Occupied Palestinians (active mass killing) and kills a further 4,000 Occupied Palestinians through imposed deprivation (passive mass murder). The WW1 onwards Palestinian Genocide has been associated with 2.2 million Indigenous Palestinians killed by violence, 0.1 million, and by imposed deprivation, 2.1 million) since the British invaded the Middle East in 1914 for oil and imperial hegemony. Of about 15.5 million mostly impoverished Indigenous Palestinians today, there are 7.0 million Exiled Palestinians (excluded from their own country by genocidally racist Zionist colonizers), and 7.5 million Indigenous Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel (representing about 50% of the population whereas as Jewish Israelis represent 47%) [7, 10].
The 5.5 million Occupied Palestinians are 73% of 7.5 million Indigenous Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel but are excluded from voting for the government ruling them i.e. they are subject to egregious Apartheid. The 5.5 million mostly impoverished Occupied Palestinians are deprived of all human rights specified by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [12, 13], and are highly abusively confined to ever-dwindling West Bank ghettoes (3.3 million) and the blockaded and bombed Gaza Concentration Camp (2.2 million). The 2 million Israeli Palestinians can vote for the government ruling them, albeit as Third Class citizens under 60 Nazi-style, race-based laws [14, 15].
(2). The mendacious, Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australian Labor Government falsely denies the 56-year reality of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The following quotes substantiate this obscene and false Australian Labor Government denial of the 56-year Apartheid Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories:
(i). Australian Government, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT): “Palestinian Territories. Australia’s relationship with the Palestinian Authority and engagement in the Palestinian Territories is in support of a negotiated two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Palestinian Authority has a representative office in Canberra and Australia has one in Ramallah. For Australia, both offices are a valuable interface with the Palestinian authorities. Our development and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian Territories is a practical demonstration of our long-standing support for a two-state solution” [16].
Comment: This is a triple falsehood: (a) it ignores the other “territories” inhabited by Indigenous Palestinians, namely the Gaza Concentration Camp, East Jerusalem (illegally annexed by Apartheid Israel), Apartheid Israel proper (behind pre-1967 borders), and in Middle East refugee camps; (b) it refers to “Palestinian Territories” by lazily and falsely removing “Occupied” from the term “Occupied Palestinian Territories” that is the obscene reality accepted by the non-racist world but which leaves just 1 “Palestinian Territory” singular (the West Bank); and (c) falsely denies the 56-year and continuing Occupation by neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel.
(ii). The Australian Labor Government disgustingly refused to support a UN Resolution referring the 56-year Apartheid Israeli Occupation to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The Embassy of the State of Palestine for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific: “On November 11, 2022, the UN General Assembly Fourth Committee approved a draft resolution [i] to request the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for an advisory opinion on the legal consequences of Israel’s prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967. The draft resolution was approved with 98 votes in favour, 17 against, and 52 abstentions. The General Delegation of Palestine regrets Australia’s deeply disappointing decision to vote against this draft decision, and considers this a vote against international law and a rules-based order… [i]. Draft resolution “Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem” (document A/C.4/77/L.12/Rev.1). [ii].The United Nations General Assembly, the United Nations Security Council, and the International Court of Justice all officially consider the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem to be occupied territories” [17].
(iii). Senator Penny Wong (Minister for Foreign Affairs):”Australia is deeply concerned by the escalating violence in Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Lebanon. During this time of Ramadan, Pesach and Easter, we call on all parties to immediately work to halt the violence, exercise restraint and restore calm. Australia condemns unreservedly the indiscriminate rocket attacks from southern Lebanon and Gaza and recognises Israel’s right to defend itself. We are shocked by the horrifying news of deadly terror attacks in the West Bank and Tel Aviv and our thoughts go to the victims’ families and the injured. Terrorism and violence against civilians can never be justified. Australia calls on all parties to respect and protect the sanctity and status of Jerusalem’s holy sites. Violence at Al Aqsa, including against worshippers, is reprehensible. Security operations must be proportionate and in accordance with international law. Events in recent days are urgent reminders of the need for leaders to work together to foster the conditions necessary for tolerance and peace”[18].
Comment: The “Palestinian Territories” are no longer “Occupied” according to the dirty Labor Government whose sole merit is that it is not as bad as the even filthier Coalition. The Coalition and Labor are both haram. Some relevant statistics from Israeli (notably B’Tselem) and UN sources:1 January 2023 – 10 April 2023 Palestinian violent deaths / Israeli violent deaths = 90/17 = 5.3; 1 January 2023 – 10 April 2023 Palestinian deaths from violence and imposed deprivation / Israeli violent deaths = 1,100/17 = 64.7. If one considers avoidable deaths from imposed deprivation (evidence of continuing gross violation by neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel of Articles 55 and 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention), in 2023 Apartheid Israel is exceeding the Nazi-advocated and Nazi-effected reprisals death ratio of 10 by a factor of 6.5 [19].
(iv). Leaving out “Occupied” is just 1 blatant falsehood and betrayal of the Australian Labor Party, Australia, Palestinians and Humanity by the Australian Labor Government. The new Australian Labor Government was elected in May 2022 with the help of Greens preferences in the Australian compulsory and preferential voting system. However despite pro-Palestinian moves by the Labor Party membership, the US- and Zionist-beholden Labor Government has grossly betrayed Palestinian human rights, Australian voters, Labor party members, Australia, and indeed Humanity in 85 ways that make Labor utterly unfit to govern and trash Australia’s International reputation [1]. When Australia under Labor voted No to the UNGA referral for opinion of ongoing illegal Israeli Occupations to the International Court of Justice, this was a tacit admission that Apartheid Israel was violating International Law but that pro-Apartheid Israel Australia does not want an authoritative opinion about this from the ICJ [1].
(v). Even the fervently pro-Zionist Murdoch Empire newspaper “The Australian” reported (2023): “Israel has occupied the West Bank since the 1967 Six-Day War” [20].
(3). The mendacious and racist United States Government denies “Occupation” by insisting on the term “Palestinian Territories”.
Thus the US State Department: “U.S. Relations With Palestinian Territories… More information about the Palestinian Territories is available on the Palestinian Territories Page and from other Department of State publications and other sources listed at the end of this fact sheet” [21]. Likewise, the US State Department: “Since August, 2021 the United States has shared 1,003,100 safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine doses with the people of the Palestinian Territories – free of cost” [22].
Comment: One can well understand why the endlessly lying and serial invading United States Government denies the war criminal Apartheid Israeli “Occupation” by insisting on the term “Palestinian Territories”. The US, the UK, Australia, Apartheid Israel, and the US Alliance have an appalling historical record of invading other countries [3]. Thus the British have invaded 193 countries, Australia 85, France 82, the US 72 (52 after WW2), Germany 39, Japan 30, Russia 25, Canada 25, and Apartheid Israel 13 [23]. Ignoring border spats, Developing Countries have overwhelmingly not invaded other countries. China historically invaded and incorporated only 2 contiguous regions, Tibet in the 13th century and Xinjiang in the 18th century, during which time period the English subdued and incorporated Celtic Britain and commenced colonizing across the whole world [3]. The US has a shocking and continuing record of invading other countries. According to the US Congressional Research Service there were 218 US military interventions between 1798 and 1990, and 251 military interventions between 1991 and 2022 for a total of 469 such interventions since 1798 [24, 25]. Despite closing hundreds of bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States still maintains nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries and territories [26]. China has just 1 overseas base (in Djibouti to guard massive shipping to China via the Red Sea). Costa Rica does not even have an army! Occupations by the US and the US Alliance are horrendously deadly. Thus in post-1950 US Asian wars Asian deaths from violence and war-imposed deprivation total 40 million [3]. In the US Alliance War on Terror about 32 million Muslims died from violence (5 million) and imposed deprivation (27 million) in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity that killed about 3,000 innocent Americans [27-30]. The WW1 onwards Palestinian Genocide has been associated with 2.2 million Palestinian deaths from violence (0.1 million) and imposed deprivation (2.1 million) [7-9]. In the last 23 years of Occupation alone, Occupied Palestinian deaths from violence have totalled 10,500 and deaths from imposed deprivation have totalled 112,000 [19].
(4). While the US and US lackey Australia falsely deny it, their other Five-Eyes allies, Canada, the UK and New Zealand, acknowledge the Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The colonial genocide-based White countries of the English-speaking Anglosphere – the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – formed a so-called Five Eyes intelligence-sharing club [31, 32]. However, as revealed in several books [31, 32], and in leaks of secret US documents by Daniel Ellsberg [33], by Edward Snowden [34], by the world’s most famous journalist and founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange [35], and most recently by US airman Jack Teixeira [36], the US spies on its allies as well as its enemies. Indeed the US not only spies on the Australian Government, but also shares raw intelligence about Australians with Apartheid Israel [37]. In descending order of fanatical support for the American Way one ranks the US first and thence US lackey Australia, mostly US lackey Canada, the UK, and New Zealand. The US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are based on the merciless genocide of their Indigenous Peoples by the British [3-5, 23].
Pro-Zionist Canada has had an appalling record of voting against Palestinian human rights [38]. However, according to Maktoob, Canada recently parted from the American Way by acknowledging Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Maktoob reported (December 2022): “Canada’s Trudeau government backed a resolution to support the right of self-determination of the Palestinian people adopted by the UN General Assembly during a session of the Third Committee. The resolution was put forward by the State of Palestine, North Korea, Zimbabwe, and others and calls for a “just, lasting and comprehensive peace settlement” to the Israel-Palestine conflict, and explicitly refers to contested lands between the two countries as “Occupied Palestinian Territories,” Middle East Monitors reported… Canada has regularly voted against or abstained on resolutions that support Palestinians, including resolutions on Palestinian self-determination, sovereignty over natural resources and the illegality of Israeli settlements. In November last year, Canada joined a tiny minority of states, including Israel, the US, Australia, and the Marshall Islands to vote “no” against a UN General Assembly (UNGA) resolution titled, “Peaceful Settlement on the Question of Palestine”… Tuesday’s resolution entitled “The right of the Palestinian people to self-determination” was opposed by Israel, the US and five Pacific island nations: the Marshall Islands, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia. A total of 164 countries voted in favor, including the UK and Germany” [39].
The UN (15 December 2022): “The UN Assembly adopted by a recorded vote of 167 in favour to 6 against (Chad, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, United States), with 9 abstentions (Cameroon, Guatemala, Kiribati, Malawi, Palau, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Togo, Tuvalu), draft resolution III on “The right of the Palestinian people to self-determination”. By the draft, it stressed the urgency of ending Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which began in 1967, as well as a just, lasting peace settlement between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, based on relevant resolutions of the United Nations and the Madrid terms of reference, including the Arab Peace Initiative and Quartet Road map to a permanent two‑State solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It also stressed the need to respect the territorial integrity of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. Further, the Assembly urged all States and the United Nations to continue to support and assist the Palestinian people in the early realization of their right to self-determination” [40, 41]. Unaccountably, fervently pro-Zionist Canada voted Yes, breaking a long and obscene record of anti-Arab anti-Semitism in relation to the sorely oppressed Palestinians [42]. “One swallow doesn’t make a summer”, and one decent vote on Palestine at the UN doesn’t make for a decent Trudeau Government.
The United Kingdom despite its appalling and continuing record of anti-Arab anti-Semitism (especially in relation to Palestine) officially acknowledges the reality of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Thus the official UK travel advice refers explicitly to the Occupied Palestinian Territories [43].
New Zealand is the most respectable member of the Five Eyes Club, most probably because it has a large Indigenous Maori population with a resultant much greater respect for Indigenous Peoples. The New Zealand Government “Safe Travel “ website lists “Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories” [44].
(5). Racist America’s major EU and NATO allies acknowledge the Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The foreign ministries of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain (all major EU countries and NATO allies of the US) and the UK note the Occupied Palestinian Territories (2023): “France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom, express their grave concern in the face of the continuing, growing violence in the occupied Palestinian territories” [45, 46]. However this is surely more indicative of a Voltairean European respect for truth rather than respect for Palestinians (noting that the mendacious, racist and Zionist-subverted US Government and the mendacious, racist, Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australian Labor Government have respect for neither).
Indeed nearly all EU and NATO countries belongs to the set of 35 countries that are members of the anti-Semitic and holocaust-ignoring International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). Of these 35 soiled, pro-Apartheid countries: (1) all are European; (2) the 5 located outside Europe (Argentina, Australia, Canada, Apartheid Israel, and the US) were all created based on the genocide of the Indigenous People; (3) 9 members were part of the genocidal WW2 Nazi Germany Alliance; (4) 4 (the US, UK, France and Apartheid Israel) are nuclear terrorist states; (5) 28 belong to the 30-member nuclear-armed NATO that accepts mass incineration of billions of men, women and children as an acceptable military strategy; (6) 14 were notably involved in the brutal conquest and genocide of Indigenous non-European people over 5 centuries; (7) only 2 (Austria and Ireland) have had the moral decency to sign and ratify the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW); and (8) all but 4 shockingly voted No to the annual UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution in 2022 that condemns Nazism, neo-Nazism and related racist obscenities. The IHRA Definition of “antisemitism” lists 11 false examples of assertions (e.g. criticism of Apartheid Israel, Nazi-style Israeli policies and hugely disproportionate Zionist influence) that it regards as anti-Jewish anti-Semitic. All 11 examples can be shown to be utterly false assertions designed to damage and defame anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish critics of genocidally racist Zionism and of Apartheid Israel and its ongoing Palestinian Genocide. Not surprisingly, the racist and mendacious IHRA Definition has been condemned by scholars around the world and by over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations [1].
(6). Most countries as well as scholars and human rights groups acknowledge the reality of Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The UN Resolution referring the 56-year Apartheid Israeli Occupation to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) was approved with 98 votes in favour, 17 against, and 52 abstentions [1, 47]. Scholars are committed to truth and just cannot deny the Elephant in the Room and horrendous reality of the 56-year Apartheid Israeli Occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The UN Assembly adopted draft resolution III on “The right of the Palestinian people to self-determination” by a recorded vote of 167 in favour to 6 against (Chad, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, United States), with 9 abstentions (Cameroon, Guatemala, Kiribati, Malawi, Palau, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Togo, Tuvalu) [39-42].
Final comments and conclusions.
The core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth. However the Zionist-imposed, 56-year highly abusive occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories is utterly and horribly Unkind, and the denial of this awful reality by Zionists and by pro-Zionists, such as the Australian Labor Government and the US Government, is bare-faced Lying.
The core messages from the WW2 Jewish Holocaust, from all WW2 holocausts (notably the Polish, Soviet, Chinese and Indian Holocausts), and indeed from all holocausts and genocides, are zero tolerance for racism, zero tolerance for lying, bear witness, and never again to anyone. The genocidally racist Zionists and their racist supporters are grossly violating these fundamental obligations for decent people. Under a cowardly, ignorant and racist Australian Labor Government Australia is second only to the US as a supporter of Apartheid Israel and hence of the evil crime of Apartheid. Those supporting Apartheid are utterly unfit for public life and public office in ostensible one-person-one-vote democracies like Australia and the US.
It is testament to the moral degeneracy of the Australian Labor Government that it not only discards the core human ethos of Kindness and Truth in favour of Warmongering and Lying in its pro-war, neoliberal and US lackey agenda, but it also refuses to demand the release from the UK of world hero Julian Assange who has been imprisoned now for a decade for revealing Awful Truths in the interests of Humanity and Truth.
What’s in a word such as the missing word “occupied”? The bald-faced lying by the Australian Labor Government and the US Biden Administration in falsely denying the 56-year Apartheid Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. should not be tolerated by Australian and US citizens and nor indeed by the world. Unfortunately, this egregious falsehood is unchallenged by the Zionist-subverted Western Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes. Further, America has been stuck with the nuclear weapons standoff since WW2 (although denuclearization is possible), and with a 2-party system in which the ostensibly “liberal” Democrats are in many ways just as bad as the Republicans. There could be some hope for Australia, however.
The Australian Labor Government blatantly lies, and falsely denies the realities of Israeli Apartheid, the Israeli Occupation, Israeli ethnic cleansing, and Israeli denial of basic human rights to Occupied Palestinians. The Australian Labor Government also falsely denies the massive power asymmetry between impoverished and essentially unarmed Occupied Palestinians and an extremely rich, US-backed, NATO-backed, EU-backed, Western Mainstream media-backed, nuclear–armed Apartheid Israel with one of the biggest high-technology armed forces and war industries in the world. The deeply racist Australian Government also opposes peaceful anti-Apartheid resistance measures such as Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) while defending disproportionate Israeli killing and wounding of Palestinians as Israel’s “right to self-defence”.
Decent Australians were relieved to see the defeat by Labor in 2022 of the appalling, corrupt, mendacious, anti-science, anti-environment, pro-greed and human rights-violating Coalition in the 2022 elections. However the gloss is wearing thin on the new Australian Labor Government that, rhetoric and woke political correctness aside, is becoming indistinguishable from the right-wing to far right Coalition Opposition. Australia has a compulsory and preferential voting system in which “second preferences” are taken into account if a candidate fails to get a majority of the primary first preference votes.
Presently the Australian Labor Government’s only merit is that it is assertedly not as bad for the poor as the unspeakable Coalition. However with a growing inequity gap, expanding poverty, a worsening climate crisis, an increasing nuclear threat, and a Gross National Debt of A$1 trillion, the Australian Labor Government is committed to giving A$250 billion in tax breaks to the rich, spending A$358 billion on UK/US nuclear-powered submarines that will be readily detectable sitting ducks for smart missiles in coming decades, making Australia a nuclear-armed US base and a prime nuclear target, and permitting vast expansion of new coal and gas extraction.
Decent Australians will act against a racist, mendacious, pro-war, pro-nuclear weapons, anti-science, climate criminal, pro-Apartheid, pro-Occupation, IHRA-supporting, anti-Jewish anti-Semitic, anti-Arab anti-Semitic, holocaust-ignoring, genocide-ignoring, human rights-betraying and Julian Assange-betraying Australian Labor Government by rejecting both the mendacious, racist and traitorous Labor Government and the even worse Coalition Opposition at the ballot box – they will not vote 1 for either Labor or the Coalition, and will put the Coalition last and Labor second last.
Decent humanity as a whole will (a) inform everyone they can about the US Alliance commitment to nuclear terrorism, war, occupation, racism, genocide, Apartheid, human rights abuse and lying, and (b) urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel and all people, politicians, parties, collectives, corporations and countries supporting genocidally racist Zionism (Zionazism) [19, 48-50].
