Eminent Australian and Indigenous journalist, Stan Grant, was driven to resign from the ABC (the Australian equivalent of the UK BBC) as compere of the high-rating Q+A TV program by a flood of devastating racist abuse after he participated in a frank and truthful ABC discussion of the British Crown and colonialism that prefaced the ABC coverage of the Coronation of King Charles III. Stan Grant, please come back, decent Australia loves you and needs you.
Stan Grant announced his departure in a powerful article published by the ABC several days before his final Q+A program: “Since the King’s coronation, I have seen people in the media lie and distort my words. They have tried to depict me as hate filled. They have accused me of maligning Australia. Nothing could be further from the truth. My ancestors would not allow me to be filled with hate. I was invited to contribute to the ABC’s coverage as part of a discussion about the legacy of the monarchy. I pointed out that the crown represents the invasion and theft of our land. In the name of the crown my people were segregated on missions and reserves. Police wearing the seal of the crown took children from their families. Under the crown our people were massacred. Australia is the only Commonwealth country not to have signed treaties with First Nations people. Under the crown we remain the most impoverished and imprisoned people in the country. We cannot live in the fantasy Australia that pretends we have transcended this history. We owe it to ourselves to be better. Truths. Hard truths. Truths not told with hate — truths offered with love. Yes, love. I repeatedly said that these truths are spoken with love for the Australia we have never been. Love that inspired my grandfather — a Wiradjuri man — to fight in World War II for a country that didn’t recognise his full humanity, let alone his citizenship. My grandfather who kept by his bed the Bible and the works of Shakespeare. A Wiradjuri man who knew that he had a place in the world…
The ABC has this year lodged an official complaint with Twitter about the relentless racial filth I am subjected to. I am not beyond criticism. I occupy a privileged and prominent place in the media — I should be critiqued. And I am not thin skinned. Aboriginal people learn to tough it out. That’s the price of survival. This year the stakes are higher. There is a referendum on an Indigenous Voice to Parliament and I am not alone in feeling judged. This is an Australian judgement on us. Such is politics… I am writing this because no one at the ABC — whose producers invited me onto their coronation coverage as a guest — has uttered one word of public support. Not one ABC executive has publicly refuted the lies written or spoken about me. I don’t hold any individual responsible; this is an institutional failure…This is the last column I will write for the ABC for a while. On Monday night I will present my Q+A program, then walk away. For how long? I don’t know” [1].
For the last Q+A (Question and Answer) panel program compered by Stan Grant several audience members were selected to ask pertinent questions. Thus Anaru August asked: “I have been disgusted by the hatred and abuse that has been fired at Stan Grant because of his colour and the articulation of his professional essence. I ask the panel, what needs to happen to stop hate speech, hate culture, and hate acceptance from continuing to be a fabric of Australia?” And Mohammad Mosayed Ullah asked: “I became an Australian citizen less than a year ago. Every day I am learning about living in this beautiful Australia. My question to all panel members is, what can you do for me to express my views without the fear of being racially abused, like Yassmin Abdel-Magied or Stan Grant. Is there any topic I should not discuss on air or in public forums?” [2].
One notes that non-European female ABC journalist Yassmin Abdel-Magied was horrendously vilified, terminated by the ABC and actually hounded out of Australia after posting a mere 7 words on her personal Facebook page: “Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine)”, stark testament to the continuing mendacity and virulent intolerance of endlessly war-mongering racist White Australia [3].
Stan Grant concluded his last presentation of the top-rating ABC TV “Q+A” program with a gentle and moving farewell (the full transcript is not yet available ): “To those who have abused me and my family, I would just say – if your aim was to hurt me, well, you’ve succeeded. And I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I must have given you so much cause to hate me so much, to target me and my family, to make threats against me. I am down right now. I am. But I will get back up. And you can come at me again, and I will meet you with the love of my people. My people can teach the world to love. As Martin Luther King Jr said of his struggle, ‘We will wear you down with our capacity to love all’… I need a break from the media. I feel like I’m part of the problem. And I need to ask myself how, or if, we can do it better”. Stan Grant reiterated his concern over lack of support from the ABC organization. He concluded this moving farewell with some words in his native Wiradjuri language and then a simple “Goodnight” [4].
With this background one can then succinctly unpick particularly pertinent aspects of the 235 year and continuing genocidal and ethnocidal racism of an endlessly warmongering racist White Australia.
(A). Censorship: racist White Australia ignores the continuing Australian Aboriginal Genocide, Aboriginal Ethnocide and Australia-complicit. Palestinian Genocide.
(1). Australian Aboriginal Genocide: In 1770 (when 10 million Bengalis starved to death under the British) the British explorer Captain James Cook declared Australia to be British territory. The British invaded Australia in 1788 and commenced the ongoing Aboriginal Genocide in which some 2 million Indigenous Australians have died untimely deaths due to violence (0.1 million) or due to dispossession, deprivation, and disease (the remainder). The Indigenous population dropped from about 1 million to 0.1 million in the first century after the invasion in 1788, mainly through violence, dispossession, deprivation and introduced disease. The last massacres of Aborigines occurred in the late 1920s in Central Australia. Survivors were employed as effective slave labour by the Europeans. The colonizers were frankly genocidal and up to the 1970s removed about 100,000 Indigenous children from their mothers (the “Stolen Generations”). Before the British invasion in 1788 there were 350-750 different Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal) tribes and a similar number of languages and dialects, of which only 150 survive today and of these all but about 20 are endangered in a process of continuing Australian Aboriginal Ethnocide and Cultural Genocide of remaining Indigenous Australian societies. From a qualitative perspective the Australian Aboriginal Genocide and Ethnocide was the worst in human history [5].
The 235 year and ongoing Aboriginal Genocide has been associated with about 0.1 million violent deaths and 2 million deaths from dispossession, deprivation and disease. The term “Aboriginal Genocide” is not used by the ABC nor by numerous Australian commentators. Former Coalition PM John Howard and other conservatives have notoriously disparaged accounts of the Aboriginal Genocide as the “black arm band view of history”. A Search of the ABC for the term “Aboriginal Ethnocide” yields zero (0 results). Ignored by the ABC, as UK and US lackeys Australians have invaded 85 countries with 30 of these invasions being genocidal [5-12].
(2). Australia-complicit Palestinian Genocide: 2 days after the Australian defeat of the Turks at Beersheba (31 October 1917), in the 2 November 1917 Balfour Declaration to genocidally racist Lord Rothschild the British gave Palestine to the Zionists as a Jewish Homeland. Massive Zionist immigration meant that by 1947 the population of Palestine was 1,970,000 comprising 630,000 Jews (32.0%), 143,000 Christians (7.3%) and 1,181,000 Muslims (59.9%) i.e. two thirds were Indigenous Palestinians. 1n 1948 the cowardly and utterly unprincipled British withdrew, and the non-Semitic, Khazar convert-derived Ashkenazi Jewish European Zionist colonizers rejected calls by Palestinians, anti-racist Jews, the UN, the Arab World and civilized humanity for a secular, democratic and multicultural state, and seized 78% of Palestine, emptied 530 villages, committed 70 massacres, forcibly expelled 800,000 Palestinians (about 60% of the Indigenous Palestinian population) in the Nakba (or Catastrophe), and proclaimed the race-based settler colonial state and democracy-by-genocide pariah state of “Israel” (but better described as “Apartheid Israel”). In 1967a now nuclear-armed and UK- , US- and France-backed Apartheid Israel seized all of the former British Mandated Palestine plus parts of Egypt, Lebanon Jordan and Syria.
Today all of Palestine and parts of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria remain occupied. The 7 million Exiled Palestinians are cruelly excluded from returning to their multi-millennial homeland and from full human rights. The 5.5 million Occupied Palestinians are denied all human rights as set out in the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). 2 million Israeli Palestinians are subject to 60 Nazi-style, race-based discriminatory laws. The WW1 onwards and continuing Palestinian Genocide has been associated with 0.1 million violent deaths and about 2 million deaths from imposed deprivation. The first step that the world should insist on immediately is return of full human rights to all 15.5 million Palestinians, noting that half of them are children and three quarters are women and children. The per capita GDP is a deadly $3,500 for Occupied Palestine and $55,500 for Apartheid Israel, evidence of gross Apartheid Israeli violation of Articles 55 and 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention that state that an Occupier must provide its Conquered Subjects with life sustaining food and medical services “to the fullest extent of the means available to it” [5-9, 13-16].
A Search of the genocide-ignoring ABC for “Palestinian Genocide” yields zero results. There are detailed accounts comparing the Australian Aboriginal Genocide and the Palestinian Genocide [17-19]. There is massive censorship of the Palestinian Genocide and ongoing atrocities of Apartheid Israel in a Zionist-subverted, Zionist-perverted, and US lackey Australia. Indeed Australia is second only to the US as a fervent supporter of neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence of neo-Nazi Apartheid [16].
(B). Freedom of speech is crucial for democracy and societal advance – we must expose and oppose maltreatment and censorship of truth tellers.
The core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth. Decent people will defend truth-telling writers from abuse and censorship. Set out below is a brief list of decent and accomplished Australians subject to egregious censorship and who I have publicly defended in the quoted statements below (although I have been rendered substantially “invisible “ in my own country, endlessly censoring, look-the-other-way Australia).
(1). Julian Assange (the world’s most famous journalist; imprisoned in London for nearly 11 years for truth-telling). Gideon Polya (2010): “Julian Assange, the famous leadership figure of Wikileaks, is an Australian citizen who was born in Queensland , North East Australia. So far the WikiLeaks releases re Australia have exposed what US officials thought of PM Rudd (“control freak” and other unflattering comments); Rudd’s appalling advocacy of US war with China and Australian soldiers for war in Pakistan; successful lobbying of the Labor Government by BHP Billiton to help block a $21 billion Chinese investment in mining giant Rio Tinto; revelation of secret Australian Government pessimism over the Afghan War; and exposure of 3 [pro-Zionist, pro-US] Labor MPs as involved in giving insider information and opinions to the US. The US lackey Australian Government has reacted by threatening Assange with criminal proceedings, this in turn provoking widespread support for Julian Assange from both ordinary and eminent Australians” [20]. Julian Assange has now been highly abusively incarcerated in London for nearly 11 years, 7 years confined in the Ecuadorean Embassy to avoid extradition to the US and 4 years in Belmarsh Prison. His health is failing under this torture. His father John Shipton has adduced my research on millions of deaths from violence and US-imposed deprivation in Iraq (5 million) and Afghanistan (7 million) [6-9] in support of Julian Assange’s truth-telling about US war crimes for which public decency he has been horribly incarcerated in London for 11 years [20-29].
(2). Mike Carlton (top Australian columnist). Gideon Polya (2014): “Mike Carlton, top Australian columnist, forced from job for criticizing Apartheid Israeli Gaza Massacre … The whole world has been horrified by Apartheid Israel ‘s latest Gaza Massacre that has killed 1,900 Occupied Palestinians and wounded 10,000. Even the unrepentant war criminal Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu looks chastened by the reality that 7 billion human beings now regard him with his predecessor PM Ehud Olmert as the “Butchers of Gaza” over successive Gaza Massacres, just as former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon is forever known as the “Butcher of Beirut” over the Sabra and Shatila Massacre. However the Zionist Lobbies have muted the Western response and in Australia , neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel ‘s best friend after the US , the vociferous and venomous Israel Lobby has driven one of Australia ‘s top journalists, Mike Carlton, from his job with the Sydney Morning Herald after he forcefully criticized this latest Israeli Gaza Massacre… Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. For anti-racist Jews and indeed all anti-racist humanitarians the core moral messages from the Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million dead, 1 in 6 dying from deprivation) and from the more general WW2 European Holocaust (30 million Slav, Jewish and Gypsy dead) are “zero tolerance for racism”, “never again to anyone”, “bear witness” and “zero tolerance for lying”” [30].
(3). Scott McIntyre (a sports journalist with Australia’s substantially taxpayer-funded, multicultural Special Broadcasting Service, SBS). Gideon Polya (2015): “Australia trashes free speech – SBS sacks journalist Scott McIntyre over anti-war tweets … Free speech has been trashed in jingoistic, pro-war , US lackey Australia. Scott McIntyre, a courageous young sports journalist with Australia’s substantially taxpayer-funded, multicultural Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), was sacked after he tweeted a succession of truthful anti-war comments on Anzac Day (Australia’s war dead remembrance day). Only a few, notably [famed expatriate Australian journalist] John Pilger, came to his defence, and the rest was silence or strong condemnation of McIntyre. To better understand this latest trashing of free speech in Australia you need to appreciate some Australian history and the high level of ignorance, jingoism, racism, politically correct racism (PC racism), political cowardice and censorship in Australia… Free speech is vital for scholarship, democracy and for rational risk management that is crucial for societal safety. Decent people must speak up for free speech, inform everyone they can, and urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against all those people and organizations involved in censorship, lying by omission, lying by commission and attacks on free speech” [31].
(4). Dr Sandra Nasr (lecturer in Middle East politics at Notre Dame University, Western Australia). Gideon Polya (2015): “Academic Free Speech Under Zionist Attack At Notre Dame Australia And LSE, UK … Dr Sandra Nasr, lecturer in Middle East politics at Notre Dame University, Western Australia, published an article on the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) website uncontroversially linking Old Testament Biblical imperatives of violent occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestine in the first millennium BC to Zionist colonialism and gross human rights abuse in Palestine today. Dr Nasr was immediately attacked and falsely defamed by Zionists and the Fairfax-owned WA Today as “racist” and “anti-semitic” and the article was removed from the LSE website. To its shame, rather than defend Dr Nasr, Notre Dame said it “apologizes” for her article which it is now “addressing”… If anything, Dr Sandra Nasr’s article is remarkable for its restraint. Thus it refers to and documents repeated expressions of “racial superiority” and “ethnic cleansing” in the Old Testament but in relation to present-day Palestine merely talks of human rights abuse and “Delegitimising through Dehumanisation: Palestinian “human” rights denied” by the Zionists ruling all of Palestine today (plus a largely ethnically cleansed slab of Syria)” [32].
(5). Yassmin Abdel-Magied (Muslim engineer and former ABC journalist). Gideon Polya (2017): “Yassmin Abdel-Magied Censored On Anzac Day – Jingoists Trash Australian Free Speech… On Australia’s Anzac Day, Muslim, feminist social advocate and humanitarian journalist Yassmin Abdel-Magied (who works for the ABC, Australia’s equivalent of the UK BBC) posted on her Facebook page: “Lest we forget (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine)”. Savaged by public outcry, Ms Abdel-Magied rapidly deleted the post and apologized. The post was correct and her silencing by rabid jingoists is a stain on Australia and an attack on free speech… As a UK lackey or US lackey Australia has invaded 85 out of 203 present-day countries (195 UN-recognized nations and 8 non-UN-recognized self-governing countries) as compared to the British 193, the French 80, the US 72 (52 after WW2), Germany 39, Japan 30, Russia 25, Canada 25, Apartheid Israel 12 and China 2. Australia has been involved in all post-1950 US Asian wars, atrocities associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence or war-imposed deprivation. Australia is an enthusiastic participant in the US War on Muslims (aka the US War on Terror) that has been associated with 32 million Muslim deaths from violence, 5 million, or deprivation, 27 million, in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9-11 false flag atrocity that killed 3,000 people, overwhelmingly Americans” [3].
(6). Alan Seymour (famous playwright). Gideon Polya (2017): “Review: “The One Day Of The Year” – Australian Anzac Day Jingoism Hides Genocidal War Crimes… “The One Day Of The Year” [1958] is an iconic play by Alan Seymour about Anzac Day, the Australian and New Zealand war dead remembrance day held on the anniversary of the unsuccessful invasion of Turkey at Gallipoli by the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) on 25 April 1915. Anti-war sentiment expressed on or about Anzac Day has elicited ferocious responses over the years ranging from death threats to blanket media censorship that hides Australia’s appalling history of UK- and US-linked war crimes and genocides…”The One Day of the Year”… was accepted by a panel of judges for the Adelaide Arts Festival in 1960 but the decision was overturned by the Adelaide Festival Board of Governors on the basis that it was insensitive to returned soldiers (veterans) and would offend the powerful Returned Services League (RSL)” [33].
(7). Michelle Guthrie (gifted former ABC Managing Director) and Emma Alberici (outstanding former ABC journalist). Gideon Polya (2018): “Australian ABC journalistic independence threatened by Coalition Government and largely Coalition-appointed ABC Board… Guthrie , the Chinese-Australian Managing Director of the Australian ABC (Australia’s equivalent of the UK BBC) has been sacked by the ABC Board without satisfactory public explanation. After it was revealed that Ms Guthrie had failed to respond to suggestions that she sack top ABC journalists Emma Alberici and Andrew Probyn that the Coalition Government did not like, the Chairman of the ABC resigned. Now there are calls for the largely Coalition-appointed ABC Board to resign over their involvement in this scandal. Horrified Australians are demanding that the independence of the ABC be preserved but the Liberal Party that dominates the Coalition Government demands privatization and selling off of the ABC” [34].
(8). Essam Al Ghalib (renowned pro-Palestinian human rights journalist). Gideon Polya (2023): “Zionist Australia’s SBS Suspends Renowned Pro-Palestinian Journalist Essam Al Ghalib … Australia’s Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) provides excellent globally-oriented TV and radio services to Australia, and particularly to exceptionally multicultural Australia. However SBS has succumbed to foreign and local Zionist pressure and suspended renowned Arab journalist Essam Al Ghalid for unexceptional tweets made 10 years ago which offended local Zionists and a foreign, pro-Israel, Israel-promoting and Zionist media monitoring website called Honest Reporting… There is massive censorship in Australia and the West in general of the appalling realities of Apartheid Israel and its continuing Palestinian Genocide (2.2 million deaths from violence, 0.1 million, and imposed deprivation, 2.1 million, since the UK invasion of the Middle East in 1914 for oil and imperial hegemony). 90% of Palestine has now been ethnically cleansed” [35].
(C). Entrenched censorship, racism, lying and treason in Zionist-subverted US lackey Australia by the Big Money Establishment and Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes.
(1). The Voice Referendum – a minority of racist White Australians rejects Indigenous pleas for Voice, Treaty and Truth-telling. Lorena Allam (Indigenous affairs editor of The Guardian) has summarized earnest Indigenous demands: “The Uluru Statement from the Heart was issued to the Australian people in May 2017, developed after two years of deliberative “dialogues” around the country. Broadly, it calls for constitutional change and meaningful, structural reforms based on justice and self-determination for Indigenous peoples. It calls for a First Nations voice to parliament enshrined in the constitution, and a Makarrata commission to supervise a process of agreement-making and truth-telling. The statement says these reforms are necessarily sequential: a Voice first, then Treaty and Truth” [36]. Presently the shocking reality is that only a tad over 50% of Australians will vote for the Voice and recognition of Indigenous Australian in the Constitution of Australia. Some Indigenous leaders have variously argued that Treaty and Truth are more important than the Voice, that you can chew gum, walk and talk at the same time, that the Voice will have limited effectiveness, and that spending limited resources on health, housing and education is more important. Indeed every Australian already has a Voice although few have effective voices. However I will vote Yes for the Voice in the coming Referendum out of courtesy to Indigenous Australians, for Recognition of First Nations Peoples in the Constitution, and in the hope that Constitution-guaranteed informed Indigenous communication with government will improve Indigenous circumstances that are still so bad relative to those of non-Indigenous Australians in so many areas (with notable “gaps” in life expectancy, health, education, employment, income, wealth, domestic violence, incarceration, and deaths in custody) [12].
(2). On a bipartisan basis Zionist-subverted US lackey Australia fervently supports Apartheid Israel and ignores the horrendous circumstances of the Indigenous Palestinians. The right-extreme right Australian Liberal Party-National Party Coalition Opposition “is ideologically opposed to human rights” according to eminent human rights lawyer Professor Gillian Triggs, and opposes the Voice. However the Labor Government while supporting the Voice for Indigenous Australians resolutely opposes an Indigenous Palestinian Voice and Indigenous Palestinian human rights in Palestine. Thus the Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australian Labor Government has defied Labor Party policy in rejecting recognition of the State of Palestine, and has declared the most popular political party of the Palestinians, Hamas, to be a “terrorist organization”. Indeed the Australian Labor Government has betrayed Indigenous Palestinian human rights and Humanity in 85 ways, a comprehensive moral failure too huge to detail here [37, 38]. Thus the morally degenerate and US lackey Australian Labor Government not only rejects Palestinian Statehood but voted No to the UN commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the genocidal 1948 Nakba (800,000 or about 60% of the Indigenous population expelled from 530 villages and their native land) [39, 40], and voted No with the US, Ukraine and about 50 US-linked countries in all to the annual UN anti-Nazi Resolution [37]. The Australian Labor Government like the Coalition Opposition blindly accepts utterly false Zionist propaganda [41]. In 2019 the pro-Apartheid Israel Australian Labor Party bowed to Zionist pressure and scrapped an outstanding anti-Apartheid candidate, human rights lawyer and MP Melissa Parke [42]. All those supporting genocidally racist and neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence the utterly vile crime of Apartheid are utterly unfit for public life and public office in a one-person-one-vote democracy like Australia. Searches of the ABC for “Palestinian Genocide” and “Aboriginal Ethnocide” yield zero (0) results.
(3). Zionist-subverted Australia threatens academic free speech and free speech in general by endorsing the false, anti-Semitic and holocaust-ignoring International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism. The Australian Labor Government rightly supports an Indigenous Australian Voice to Parliament but disgracefully supports false and defamatory Zionist censorship of Australian academics, students and writers protesting Israeli Apartheid and genocide of the Indigenous Palestinians. The Australian Labor Government surrendered to vile foreign interference against the national interest by endorsing membership of the IHRA and the foreign, Zionist-conceived, racist, mendacious, anti-Jewish anti-Semitic, anti-Arab anti-Semitic, pro-Apartheid, anti-Palestinian human rights, genocide-ignoring and holocaust-ignoring IHRA Definition of anti-Semitism. Not surprisingly, the racist and mendacious IHRA Definition has been condemned by scholars around the world and by over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations [37].
However the IHRA has made great strides in Zionist-subverted Australia. The Australian Federal Labor Government, the Coalition Opposition, the Labor Government of South Australia, the Labor Government of Victoria, Melbourne University, and Wollongong University have all adopted the egregiously false, racist, anti-Semitic and genocide-ignoring IHRA Definition of Anti-Semitism. The IHRA is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jews, Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims as anti-Semitic) and is holocaust-ignoring (by ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed by violence or imposed deprivation by the Nazis) and ignoring some 70 genocides and holocausts, including the following WW2 atrocities (deaths from violence and imposed deprivation in brackets): the WW2 European Holocaust (30 million), the WW2 Soviet Holocaust (27 million), the WW2 Polish Holocaust (6 million), the WW2 Chinese Holocaust (35-40 million), and the WW2 UK-imposed and Australia-complicit Indian Holocaust (Bengali Holocaust; 6-7 million) [6, 7, 43-48].
(4). Thanks to the Big Money Establishment and Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes there is massive and illegal subversion and censorship of Australia by Apartheid Israel, the US and UK. In June 2018, the Australian Parliament passed legislation, which criminalises foreign interference and strengthens Australia’s ability to successfully prosecute acts of espionage, the National Security Legislation Amendment (Espionage and Foreign Interference) Act 2018. These laws criminalise covert and deceptive or threatening activities by persons intending to interfere with Australia’s democratic systems and processes, or support the intelligence activities of a foreign government. The laws also introduce offences for preparing or planning foreign interference, which gives law enforcement agencies the means to investigate preparatory conduct and arrest a person before Australia’s national security is prejudiced or the national security of a foreign country is advantaged. The Establishment and the Mainstream presstitutes are subverting and censoring Australians in the interests of foreign powers with long records of deceiving and damaging Australia in war and peace. They are thus violating National Security Legislation but are given carte blanche by the Coalition and Labor who are thus also deliberately and knowingly violating the spirit of Section 44 of the Australian Constitution that seeks to minimize foreign subversion of Australia in the interests of foreign powers. Labor and Coalition politicians are well aware of Section 44 of the Australian Constitution which some years ago was applied to exclude many dual citizen Labor, Coalition and Green MPs from office. However Labor and the Coalition grossly violate the spirit of Section 44 by variously ignoring, permitting and indeed supporting subversion of Australians and Australian institutions by Apartheid Israel, the US, the UK and their traitorous local agents. Numerous examples can be given but the standouts are the 1975 and 2010 Coups in Australia, 6 further Coups in our region involving Australian players [5, 7, 46-48], and the threats to Australians and Australian institutions in the interests of neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel via the anti-Semitic, holocaust-ignoring and pro-Apartheid IHRA [37, 49-52].
These appalling realities are ignored by traitorous and mendacious Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes in Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australia that has an entrenched look-the-other-way culture of politically correct racism (PC racism) and lying by omission. Of course lying by omission is far, far worse than repugnant lying by commission because the latter at least permits public refutation and public debate (subject to the ever present censorship by Mainstream gate-keepers). As perceived 2 decades ago, there was massive academic censorship and self-censorship in Australian universities [53], but managerialism, restrictive Codes of Conduct, corporatizing, monetizing of scholarship and neoliberal greed have made things far worse.
Indeed there is massive failure to report in Zionist-subverted Australia [54, 55]. By way of example, careful accounting reveals 85 instances of the US attempting to overthrow foreign governments since WW2 and that the US was successful in 50 instances, with craven US lackey Australia being involved in 8 of these regime changes; a detailed and documented summary of this gross and criminal US violation of Humanity was sent as an Open Letter to all Australian MPs and thence to a huge number of MPs and media globally – however the Silence has been Deafening in US lackey Australia and in the global US Empire [55]. Famed Australian novelist Peter Carey has stated: “And if I really think there’s a big problem in our society today, it’s that the media is not telling the truth to people and they know what it is. If you really want to know what’s happening [in] the world, you go out and get drunk with journalists and they will tell you what isn’t in the papers. So they’re living – these guys are living every day with the reality of a proprietor, say, or a corporation who owns them will not permit them to tell what they know to be true” [56-58].
The recent funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III were inevitably associated with discussion around the world of the horrendous crimes of British colonialism [59, 60]. Massive white-washing of these crimes from Anglosphere history and culture (for a detailed and documented critique see my book “Jane Austen and the Black Hole of British History. Colonial rapacity, holocaust denial and the crisis in biological sustainability” [6]) and variously ignorant and racist White Anglosphere denial and cognitive dissonance over them no doubt contributed to the horrible vilification of Indigenous journalist Stan Grant over his sensible contributions on the occasion of the Coronation discussions about the impact of the Crown on Indigenous People and British colonial subjects around the world [5, 59].
This massive and genocide-ignoring lying by omission is promoted by the pathologically mendacious and traitorous US Lobby and Apartheid Israel Lobby in Australia [60, 61]. Thus Ali Kazak former Palestinian diplomatic representative to Australia and the South Pacific): “There is nothing ASIO suggests any Chinese lobby of doing that the Israeli lobby has not been doing for over 30 years. Any Chinese lobby is child’s play in contrast to the well-established Israeli lobby. No country has more interfered, spied and endangered Australia’s security, sovereignty and the integrity of its national institutions than Israel and its powerful lobby. By their own admission, the lobby receives funds from Israeli institutions, coordinates and cooperates with the Israeli government and embassy, and has ‘established a long tradition of strong public advocacy on behalf of Israel‘ to shape the opinion of members of the Australian public, media organisations and government officials in order to advance Israel’s own political objectives. Consecutive Liberal and Labor governments have been selling Australia’s foreign policy to Israel for decades, with huge campaign donations and free trips for MPs, officials, staffers and union officials” [60].
(5). The Coalition, Labor and Mainstream media slavishly support Apartheid Israel , pro-Apartheid America and Zionists but generally ignore eminent anti-racist Jewish opinion, and false defamation of decent anti-racist Jews by racist Zionists – real anti-Jewish anti-Semitism that is ignored and tolerated by Mainstream Australia. This is illustrated by the following letters I sent to leading Australian newspapers but which were not published.
(i). Recently in an article in The Age (Melbourne) anti-racist Jewish Australian writer Antony Loewenstein complained of Zionist attacks on Jewish people such as himself. I wrote a letter to The Age (14 May 2023) supporting him (it was not published): “Outstanding anti-racist Jewish Australian writer Antony Loewenstein is correct in exposing the side-lining of anti-racist Jewish critics of Apartheid Israel (The Age 13/5). As an anti-racist Jewish Australian and the author of 9 huge books and hundreds of carefully researched and referenced humanitarian articles I have been rendered essentially invisible in Australia (if not overseas) through sustained and false Zionist defamation. The Coalition, the Federal Labor Government, the Labor governments of Victoria and SA, and Melbourne University have all adopted the false and racist definition of anti-Semitism of the Zionist International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) of which Australia is a member. The IHRA definition is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslims critics of neo-Nazi Israeli Apartheid as anti-Semitic), holocaust-ignoring (by ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust and some 70 holocausts and genocides), and has been condemned by over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations. Outstanding anti-racist Jewish American Professor Bertell Ollman: “The Zionists are the worst anti-Semites in the world today, oppressing a Semitic people as no nation has done since the Nazis”. Pro-Apartheid Israel and hence pro-Apartheid Australia needs de-Nazification”.
(ii). On 21 May 2023 I wrote in similar vein to the Sydney Morning Herald (sister newspaper of The Age), adducing eminent anti-racist Jewish Australian opinions. The letter was not published: “Your wonderful correspondent Antony Loewenstein is in the good company of other eminent anti-racist Jewish humanitarians in Australia and around the world who object to racist Israeli policies (Google “Jews against racist Zionism”) . Thus, for example, in 2010 numerous eminent Jewish Australians signed a letter denouncing and renouncing the racist Israeli “law of return”: “We are Jews from Australia, who, like Jewish people throughout the world, have an automatic right to Israeli citizenship under Israel’s “law of return.” While this law may seem intended to enable a Jewish homeland, we submit that it is in fact a form of racist privilege that abets the colonial oppression of the Palestinians”. The numerous signatories included the household names of Miriam Margolyes, Eva Cox, and internationally famed Professors Peter Singer and Dennis Altman. Indeed Australia’s first Australian Governor General Sir Isaac Isaacs (1946): ”The honour of Jews throughout the world demands the renunciation of political Zionism”.
For alphabetically-ordered compendia of the views of anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish humanitarians see [39, 40, 62-70]. In stark contrast, for the genocidally racist opinions of racist Zionist leaders from Theodor Herzl to Benjamin Netanyahu see [71].
Final comments and conclusions
Eminent Australian and Indigenous journalist, Stan Grant, was in this past week driven from his top job with the ABC by vile racist abuse arising from objections to the ABC coverage of the Coronation of King Charles III. This is just the tip of the iceberg in Australia which has a huge and continuing (if now minority) culture of racism, intolerance and warmongering. As documented above, I have done my duty as a citizen and tried to defend 8 decent Australians being victimized for exactly that: being decent. Racist White Australia reveals its true colours by cowardly and unprincipled inaction through to vile racism and vilification on social media. And it is not just journalists, academics and writers being punished for daring to speak out. Thus outstanding Indigenous Australian Rules footballer Adam Goodes was driven from a stellar career by mass racist booing by thousands at football matches, and now brilliant Indigenous Australian Rules footballer Buddy Franklin (who has kicked a record over 1,000 goals) is suffering the same mass racist abuse treatment.
Decent people must stand up and be counted. The core moral messages from the WW2 Jewish Holocaust – and from all WW2 holocausts, and indeed all genocides and holocausts – are “zero tolerance for racism”, “zero tolerance for lying”, “bear witness”, and “never again to anybody” with the latter including Indigenous Australians and Indigenous Palestinians. However under either Labor or Coalition Governments a Zionist-perverted and US lackey Australia is second only to the US as a fervent supporter of neo-Nazi and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel. Only the decent Greens and a small number of other MPs support Palestinian human rights. Journalists should “bear witness”, in particular when fellow journalists and writers are being targeted, vilified and falsely defamed. Indeed on a per capita basis neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel is the world leader for the killing of journalists [72].
Of course war is the penultimate in racism and genocide is the ultimate in racism. Genocidally racist Apartheid Israel, pro-Apartheid America and the US Alliance (including US lackey Australia) have massively continued war in the 21st century, now joined by Russia in its war criminal invasion of Ukraine. Thus, for example, Australia has been involved in all post-1950 US Asian wars, atrocities associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence and war-imposed deprivation [7]. What can decent people do? The core principles of Humanity are Kindness and Truth, but this is ever being perverted into Evil and Racism. Truth tellers are the guardians of the ethos of Kindness and Truth. Decent people must (a) bear witness, (b) support truth tellers, and (c) call out and resolutely apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) to all those people, politicians, parties, collectives, corporations and countries grossly violating the core ethos of Kindness and Truth.

Dr Gideon Polya taught science students at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia over 4 decades.
