Deaths in Gaza and Us

Rafah Tent Massacre Gaza

Death is normal unless if it happens one of our dear and near ones. 40000+ (as per official figures) people have been killed in Gaza. According to The Lancet almost 200000 have been killed in Gaza. My mother passed away aged 98 a year ago. It was very painful for me.

Think about the parents of Gaza who lost their kids, the kids who lost their parents, husbands who lost their wives, wives who lost their husbands, siblings who lost their siblings, friends who lost their friends! It is painful for us to bear even one death of dear ones. How do the Gazans bear the death of so many of their dear and near ones? Someone said, “Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a god.”

I just read this article online which says the story of Abdul Hafez : “18-month-old Ahmad’s head has not been found since his violent death, and Abdul Hafez was forced to bury his son without it. He was buried next to his mother and siblings amid Gaza’s ruins.” When will we get the ability to feel the pain of Abdul Hafez’s pain? When will we rise up in anger against so much injustice?
