IPSF Appeals to Shri Rahul Gandhi, the INDIA Bloc & the Indian Parliament to Condemn US President Trump calls for the Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza!

We the undersigned appeal to Shri Rahul Gandhi, the INDIA Bloc & the Parliament, to condemn U.S. President Trump’s statements calling for the ‘clean out’ & ‘take over’, essentially calling for US ownership & total ethnic cleansing of the Gazan Palestinian population. President Trump has shocked the world when he used the phrase – ‘just clean out’ Gaza, by transferring the Palestinian population to Jordan & Egypt. Trump is thus guilty of ‘Genocidal Intent’ as per the ‘1948 Geneva Convention’ and must be prosecuted in the ICJ for the same.
When Trump refers to US ownership of Gaza, is Trump planning a U.S. invasion of this land?
Trump made the following statement, whilst addressing a press conference with PM Netanyahu of Israel, against whom an arrest warrant has been issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes committed during the genocidal war on Gaza.
“We’ll own it. We’re going to take over that piece, develop it and create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it will be something that the entire Middle East can be proud of,” he said, adding that a “long-term ownership position’ by the US would bring “greater stability to the Middle East.” Trump further referred to Gaza as a ‘demolition site’, but forgot to mention that it was Netanyahu, who sat there smirking away, was responsible for the same. Trump went on to say that he wanted to transform Gaza into a ‘Riviera of the Middle-East’, but failed to explain why the Gazan population could not live in that Riviera, on their own land. He referred to Gaza as a ‘symbol of death and destruction’, whilst the overwhelming majority of the nations of the world see Gaza as a symbol of courage and of resistance to Zionist imperialism, settler-colonialism and apartheid.
Trump has also ended support for the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR), critical of Israel war crimes, & the UN Relief & Works Agency (UNWRA) crucial to providing relief to the beleaguered Palestinian population. Trump has also imposed sanctions on the Judges and members of the ICC for issuing an arrest warrant against Netanyahu. Clearly, the Trump regime is undermining the very foundations of International Law & Human Rights and thus India must speak out, as so many other nations already are.
Trump’s shameful attempt at treating Gaza as just another real estate development matter, has invited international condemnation. Firstly, the Palestinian people, resistance factions and the Palestine Authority, have all condemned Trump for his devious demented plan. In fact, all of U.S.’s western allies such as the UK, France, Germany, Ireland, and the entire Arab League too have opposed Trump’s plans. BRICS nations namely, Russia, China, South Africa & Brazil too have spoken out.
Thus, among the major nations of the world, only India continues to remain silent, whilst the entire world is speaking out, and it’s a matter of national shame.
The Palestinians continue to defy all odds, refuse to die away, refuse to surrender, as they continue to have a strong belief and commitment to their cause of a free liberated sovereign Palestinian state – and the overwhelming majority of the world stands with Palestine.
We therefore appeal that the Indian National Congress Party must lead the way, and along with the INDIA Bloc, raise the issue in the Parliament and must immediately issue a statement, condemning Trump’s plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza, whilst reiterating our historic support for the Palestinian cause rooted in the values of our freedom movement. India must stand on the right side of history.
