A sweeping wave of international condemnation has followed Donald Trump’s announcement on Tuesday that the United States would take control of Gaza after relocating its Palestinian population elsewhere.

Donald Trump clandestinely launched his plan to take over Gaza with a queer set of ideas. Playing God, his audacity allowed him to actually say: “‘US Will take Over the Gaza Strip’ to Rebuild”. Sitting with Netanyahu, they both make-believe in fairy tales even at their age. They are two conniving men out to steal Gaza and swear by their God (if either actually believed in one) that, because Gaza was a demolition site, they would “clean out that whole thing”. , it wasn’t clear how far these were off-the-cuff remarks.Trump is either naive, or believes that everyone will buy into his twisted announcements. He seems to be convinced that the Palestinians do not count in his calculations. Other countries, he believes, will be thrilled and buy into his graph.
The conceit and inanity is no surprise. Trump is impulsive and trusts in his business instincts. He has never seen a war, not reconstruction. Nor has Netanyahu. The latter has seen destruction that he has created. He is lacking in moral conscience altogether and that’s what allows him to be utterly inhumane.
The US position on Israel and the Palestinians in the recent history of the conflict; will fly in the face of international law. The people will find Trump/Netanyahu degrading and deplorable.
Israel must pay reparations for what it has committed including to families who have lost loved ones. Pay for rebuilding Gaza. Real Estate guys build for profit and Trumpism will pay the bills. Netanyahu will go scot free. The people of Gaza have their dignity and do not need charity to rebuild homes that were unlawfully shattered. They must demand that Israel rebuild their churches, mosques, schools, and every institution of value. To insist and call for it under international law, is, but right to do.
The international community cannot sit on their hands and watch the rebuilding unfold. It must join the reconstruction agenda and shorten the time for rebuilding. Solidarity is the principle that recognizes our common humanity and the interconnectedness of our destinies. It highlights the need for collective effort, cooperation, and mutual understanding to solve complex challenges such as poverty, hunger, climate change, and conflict.
The Trump-Netanyahu scheming will fail. It is neither intelligent nor respectful of the Gazans. Leave it to them and allow for countries to contribute their expertise. The USA has shown that it cannot handle disaster management with competence. Israel is known only for creating disasters.
As Reuters reports: “The shock move from Trump, was condemned swiftly by international powers, with regional heavyweight Saudi Arabia, which Trump hopes will establish ties with Israel, rejecting the plan outright. Turkiye called the proposal “unacceptable” and France said that it risked destabilizing the Middle East. Countries such as Russia, China, Spain, Ireland and the UK said that they continue to support the two-state solution that has formed the basis of Washington’s policy in the region for decades.
Trump’s design is already out of order and Arab countries should reject it outright. Trump might actually deploy US troops to support rebuilding Gaza. He is considering the option of sending jailed U.S. criminals to other countries. This is not rebuilding. This is the invention of a new madness.
But, to begin with, let’s see the Trump Plan crumble on its own. Its doomed from all accounts.
