Another Youth Shot Dead By CRPF In Shopian, Kashmir

Another youth Rafiq Ahmad Rather (27) alias Rafi of Saidpora village was killed in alleged CRPF firing in Shopain Jammu and Kashmir. The slain youth was a School Bus driver.

People protested in large numbers and police opened fire on the people in which at least 8 people were injured.

An eyewitness who is present in the hospital told Kashmir Life over Phone, “around eight people have been injured and among them three are seriously injured who are getting shifted to SHMS in Srinagar.”

He further said that people including women, children, men are on roads and protests are going on in the Gagran Shopian, where Rafiq was killed. “Teargas shelling and gun shots are continuously fired on protesters and the number of injured person are increasing.”

Earlier, four youth were killed in the same area in CRPF firing on Saturday.
