Australia's new Coalition PM Malcolm Turnbull is charming, intelligent, well-mannered and articulate and is the darling of the lying, US-dominated Mainstream media but is “lipstick on a pig” in being bound to the same US lackey, pro-Zionist, pro-war, war criminal, pro-coal, climate criminal, human rights–abusing and child-abusing policies of his politically assassinated predecessor, former Coalition PM Tony Abbott. Listed below are over 200 reasons why
The bottom line in any analysis of the merits or otherwise of public policy is the consequent avoidable death of fellow human beings. In a global comparative sense one can measure avoidable deaths (avoidable mortality, excess deaths, excess mortality, untimely deaths, premature deaths , deaths that should not have happened) from violence or imposed deprivation [1]. Thus pro-war, US lackey PM Turnbull is in lock-step with the US in the post-1990 US War on Muslims that has been associated with 13 million Muslim deaths from violence or imposed deprivation and the generation of millions of Muslim refugees that now total over 30 million [2]. Further, extremely wealthy, former merchant banker PM Turnbull (he and his wife are reportedly worth about $200 million) is part of the One Percenter Establishment which owns half the wealth of the world and imposes egregious inequity that means that 17 million people die from deprivation each year [1]. Australia under PM Turnbull is not just involved in the ongoing Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide and the horrendous Global Avoidable Mortality Holocaust, but is also a disproportionately high contributor to greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution that acutely threatens Humanity and the Biosphere [3-6] and to carbon fuel burning pollutants that kill 7 million people every year, including 75,000 people who die from pollutants from the burning of Australia's world-leading coal exports [7].
Avoidable mortality in a comparative global sense can be measured as the difference between the deaths occurring in a country and the deaths expected if the country were peaceful and governed in a humane and competent fashion. On this scale of measurement, avoidable deaths as a percentage of population in prosperous Western European countries, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Apartheid Israel, Japan, China and even Cuba is close to 0% whereas it is a shocking 0.4% in South Asia and 1.0% in non-Arab Africa [1].

85,000 Australians die preventably each year in Australia (population 24 million) from all kinds of causes, the breakdown (involving some overlaps) including (1) 26,000 annual Australian deaths from adverse hospital events, (2) 17,000 obesity-related Australian deaths, (3) 15,500 smoking-related Australian deaths, (4) 10,000 carbon burning pollution-derived Australian deaths, (5). 4,000 avoidable Indigenous Australian deaths, (6). 5,600 Australians die alcohol-related deaths, (7) 2,100 Australian suicides, (8) 1,400 Australian road deaths, (9) 630 Australian opiate drug-related deaths with 570 linked to US restoration of the Taliban-destroyed Afghan opium industry, and (10) 300 Australian homicides (80 being of women killed domestically) [9]. Successive Australian Liberal Party-National Party Coalition or Labor Governments, including the Turnbull Coalition Government, have failed to take urgent steps to mitigate this carnage. To reiterate, Australia's new Coalition PM Malcolm Turnbull is charming, intelligent, well-mannered and articulate but has been a Coalition MP since 2004 and leads a Coalition that has been and continues to be actively and passively involved in numerous outrages against Australians, Muslims, Asians, children, Humanity in general and the Biosphere, as catalogued alphabetically below, noting that most of these atrocities are resolutely ignored by the Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist (NAZI)-subverted and perverted Mainstream journalists, politicians and academics of look-the other-way-Australia. While PM Turnbull is portrayed as a progressive and liberal conservative by the Mainstream media, the harsh reality is that the price of his accession to power in the September 2015 Parliamentary Coup against his popularly elected Coalition predecessor, PM Tony Abbott, was evidently acceptance of the hard-right, neoliberal policies of his predecessor.
Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. As evident from many examples below, governments have a primary responsibility to preserve the life of their own citizens and of other people but inaction kills and inaction is complicity – successive Coalition Australian Governments have egregiously failed in this and charming and articulate PM Malcolm Turnbull is part of that egregious and deadly failure as the new Coalition PM of Australia. The following alphabetical list of 212 items documents about 200 reasons why Australians should dump PM Turnbull, expands on a previous such analysis of his Coalition predecessor in 2013, and of course in many instances is applicable to other Western leaders of the war criminal and climate criminal US Alliance [14].
1. 300 ppm CO2 (300 parts per million CO2). Many climate scientists, climate activists and biologists say that we must urgently return the atmosphere to 300 ppm CO2, a level that had not been exceeded in the last circa 1 million years until about 1940. A level of about 300 ppm CO2 is required for retention of the Arctic summer sea ice and coral started dying worldwide at 320 ppm CO2. Informed by the latest science 300.org demands a return to about 300 ppm CO2 for a safe planet for all peoples and all species [15, 16]. The pro-coal, pro-gas Turnbull Coalition Government is committed to fossil fuel burning, unlimited Australian fossil fuel exports for decades and hence to an increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration, whereas science says we must cease all fossil fuel burning ASAP and return to about 300 ppm CO2.
2. 350 ppm CO2. US-based 350.org says that we must urgently return the atmosphere to no higher than 350 ppm CO2 but the latest science indicates that 300 ppm CO2 is required for a safe planet [15, 16]. The Turnbull Coalition Government is committed to fossil fuel burning for decades and unlimited Australian fossil fuel exports, noting that the atmospheric CO2 reached 400 ppm CO2 in 2014 [17].
3. 400 ppm CO2. The atmospheric CO2 exceeded 400 ppm CO2 in 2014 and is increasing at about 2.5 ppm CO2 per year. The pro-coal, pro-gas, neoliberal Turnbull Coalition Government is committed to the climate criminal policies of fossil fuel burning for decades to come and unlimited Australian fossil fuel exports.
4. 450 ppm CO2. World coral started dying at 320 ppm CO2 but is doomed through ocean warming and acidification at 450 ppm CO2, a CO2 level that will be achieved at current rates of pollution in about 20 years. The Turnbull Coalition Government is committed to fossil fuel burning for decades and unlimited, huge Australian coal, gas and iron ore exports, a sentence of death for

An ABC strategy for effective climate change action involves holding polluters and their supporters Accountable, use of a Badge (e.g. an informative badge reading “300 ppm CO2”) and use of a simple Credo (e.g. “Return the atmosphere to about 300 ppm CO2 for a safe planet for all peoples and all species” [18]. The Turnbull Coalition Government refuses to hold polluters accountable and permits them to pollute the air and ocean of all peoples for free; is committed to a long-term Carbon Economy and unlimited fossil fuel exports for decades; and has made
6. ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) censorship, sidelining, blocking, defamation, genocide-ignoring and malreportage. Despite repeated complaints about lying by omission, lying by commission, defamatory anti-Arab anti-Semitism, defamatory anti-Jewish anti-Semitism, censorship (notably of anti-racist Jewish and of progressive opinion in general), there is continuing genocide ignoring, holocaust ignoring, genocide denial and holocaust denial by an egregiously politically correct racist (PC racist), Orwellian and Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist-subverted and-perverted ABC (Australia's equivalent of the UK BBC). Successive Coalition and Labor Governments have ignored the complaints and the taxpayer-funded ABC continues to egregiously violate its charter obligation to properly inform the Australian people – indeed most of the matters described here in this 212 item catalogue are remorselessly and resolutely ignored by the ABC [19-21].
7. Aboriginal ethnocide, Aboriginal genocide, Aboriginal rights. Under the Coalition and Labor (aka the Lib-Labs or Liberal-Laborals) 4,000 Indigenous Australians die avoidably every year; Northern Territory (NT) Aborigines were excluded by the racist Lib-Labs from the protection of the 1975 Racial Discrimination Act; Aboriginal ethnocide proceeds apace (only 150 languages and dialects surviving out of an original 750 in 1788 with all but 20 endangered ); and 80% of NT Aboriginal children fail basic literacy and numeracy standards. The Australian Aboriginal avoidable mortality rate as a percentage of population of 0.6% per year lies between that of impoverished South Asia (0.4% pa) and non-Arab Africa (1.0%) – yet this is happening in Australia, one of the richest countries in the world [22, 23].

The Coalition has been a willing accomplice with Labor in the degradation and dumbing down of Australian universities whose education of 250,000 overseas students each year is worth about $16 billion pa. 11. Air pollution deaths. Each year carbon fuel burning - the burning of coal, gas, oil and biomass - causes 7 million premature deaths (untimely deaths, avoidable deaths, excess deaths, avoidable mortality, excess mortality, deaths that should not have happened), this including 10,000 Australians and 75,000 people killed through the burning of Australian coal exports. Of the 10,000 Australian deaths annually from carbon fuel burning, 5000 die from coal burning, 2,000 from vehicle exhaust and 3,000 from other carbon fuel burning, excluding bushfires. However these may be underestimates - 18 million Australians (or 75% of Australia ‘s 2015 population of 24 million) live in urban areas and translating the latest London pollution-related mortality data (9,416 air pollution deaths in a London population 8.6 million) ) to urban Australia corresponds to 9,416 deaths x 18 million/ 8.6 million = 19,707 or about 20,000 urban Australian deaths annually from air pollution involving fine carbon particulates and NO2 [7].
12. Alcohol abuse. Under the neoliberal, pro-corporate Lib-Labs, alcohol continues to kill 5,600 Australians every year and blight the lives of millions through violence, domestic violence against women, child sexual abuse, foetal alcohol syndrome and alcohol-related morbidity [9]. The terror hysteric Turnbull Coalition Government, like its Lib-Lab predecessors, must be condemned for its inaction over this carnage – in stark contrast, it is committed to a long-term accrual cost to Australia of the US War on Terror of about $11 billion annually while zero (0) Australians have ever been killed in Australia by a Muslim–origin terrorist organization.
13. Anti-Arab anti-Semitism. Anti-Arab anti-Semitism is verbal or physical abuse of 300 million Arab Semitic people who are ethnically Arab or of 1,500 Muslims who are ethnically and/or culturally Arab Semitic. Under both Coalition and Labor Governments Australian public life is characterized by egregious, false defamation of Muslims that would elicit national and international outcry if applied in the same way to Jews. Under the Lib-Labs Australia has been deeply involved in 2 genocidal wars against Muslims (the Iraq War and the Afghan War) and has been a part of the Zionist-backed post-1990 US War on Muslims that has been associated, so far, with Muslim deaths from violence or violently-imposed deprivation totalling 13 million and Muslim refugees that now total over 30 million [2, 10, 11].
14. Anti-education. Under both Labor and the Coalition Australia's Education Apartheid system ensures that the majority of Australian children attending state schools are disproportionately excluded from a decent education, university, top universities, and top courses such as medicine and law; that 80% of NT Aboriginal children fail basic literacy and numeracy standards; and that children attending taxpayer-funded private schools are subject to religious brainwashing (intellectual child abuse) that variously teaches them to accept sexism, misogyny, sexual guilt, unsafe sex, creationism, intelligent design, anti-science miracles and the right to invade, occupy, devastate and ethnically cleanse other countries. Gillard Labor ripped $4 billion from university funding while enabling increased enrolment of weaker students at dumbing-down universities. The Coalition has suggested increasing and “privatizing” university students' tuition debt (HECS debt) and police recently clashed with university students protesting this in
15. Anti-environment. Despite egregiously false rhetoric to the contrary, the now Turnbull-lead pro-coal, pro-gas, pro-oil, pro-logging, pro-highways Coalition Government has an appalling anti-environment record.
16. Anti-Jewish anti-Semitism. Pro-Zionist, pro-Apartheid Israel, US lackey Coalition and Labor are egregiously anti-Jewish anti-Semitic by falsely conflating the criminal activities of Apartheid Israel and genocidally racist Zionists with all Jews and thus horribly defaming decent, patriotic, anti-racist Jewish Australians who believe in “never again” to anyone (including Palestinians) and human rights for everyone (including Palestinians), and agree with outstanding anti-racist Jewish American scholar Professor Jared Diamond who in his best-selling book "Collapse” (Prologue, p10, Penguin edition) enunciated the "moral principle, namely that it is morally wrong for one people to dispossess, subjugate, or exterminate another people" [40]. 17. Anti-racist Jews. Pro-war, pro-Zionist, US lackey Coalition and Labor have ignored the sideling, defamation and censorship applied to anti-racist Jewish opinion by the taxpayer-funded ABC and the taxpayer-funded, universities-backed web magazine The Conversation and has responded to repeated complaints by increasing the ABC budget to over $1 billion per year. Indeed the Jewish Zionist Labor Attorney General who has refused to discuss the torturing to death of Australian Israeli spy and traitor Ben Zygier by Apartheid Israelis, represents the electorate of Isaacs which is named after Australia's most eminent Jewish figure, Sir Isaac Isaacs, Australia's first Australian-born Governor General and who was resolutely opposed to Zionism, stating (1946): “The honour of Jews throughout the world demands the renunciation of political Zionism” [43]. The Coalition like Labor is profoundly anti-science by massively supporting anti-science religious private schools and the massive child intellectual abuse therein with huge taxpayer funds [24, 25, 28]; by ignoring the demands of the expert Australian Climate Commission (now sacked by the Coalition but reconstituted as a privately-funded Climate Council) for cessation of fossil fuel extraction and burning (both the Coalition and Labor are committed to unlimited fossil fuel extraction, export and burning) [3]; by ignoring the advice of Australia's top water experts to restore 4,000 GL of water annually to the threatened, iconic Murray-Darling River system [47]; by ignoring Australia's top climate scientists and coral experts over the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef due to CO2 pollution, global warming and ocean acidification [3, 16]; and by threatening university science academics with 10 years in prison via the US-linked Defence Trade Controls Bill if they mention any of thousands of things to overseas students without a permit from the Australian Defence Force or the Australian Public Service [24, 48, 49].

WikiLeaks has also revealed how PM Kevin Rudd suggested war against China to the Americans as an option if China did not play ball and how former Labor Opposition leader and now Ambassador to Washington, Kim Beazley, offered Australian forces in that eventuality.

Of about 50 million refugees in the world today, over 30 million are Muslim refugees, mostly fleeing the Australia-complicit, Neocon American- and Zionist Imperialist (NAZI)-promoted US War on Muslims, the breakdown being 12 million Syrians (this including internally displaced Syrians), 7 million Palestinians, 5-6 million Iraqis, 3-4 million Afghans, 2.3 million internally displaced Sudanese, 2 million Somalis, 2 million Pakistanis displaced in NW Pakistan, 2 million refugee or stateless Rohingyas in Myanmar, 1 million Libyans, 0.5 million Central African Republic Muslims, and 0.5 million Yemenis [2]. Lowly paid Australians may retire without a home and $200,000 in superannuation whereas a Ten Percenter retiring on $150,000 pa may have a circa $5 million fortune involving a family home, several investment properties and superannuation of about $1 million [55].
39. Carbon Crime, carbon criminality. The neoliberal ideology-driven Coalition permits polluters to pollute for free the one common atmosphere and ocean of all people, with carbon fuel burning pollutants killing 10,000 (possibly over 20,000) Australians each year, the burning of Australian coal exports killing 75,000 people each year [7] and a disproportionately high Australian contribution to a worsening climate genocide that, unaddressed, may kill 10 billion people this century [4]. One notes by way of comparison that zero (0) Australians have ever been killed in Australia by Muslim-origin non-state terrorist organizations and that Sunni rebel non-state terrorists and US Alliance state terrorists are presently killing about 12,000 Iraqis each year in the Iraq Civil War [7].

In recent years Australian Lib-Lab Federal Government subsidies for fossil fuel totalled about $10 billion per year, noting that science says that we should be ceasing fossil fuel burning, not subsidizing it. However the actual subsidy is far greater than this: (a) Australia's damage-related Carbon Debt in USD is increasing at $400 billion annually assuming a damage-related Carbon Price of $200 per tonne CO2-e [29]; (b) assuming a Value of a Statistical Life (VOSL) of $7 million per person, Australia's 10,000 annual deaths linked to carbon fuel burning constitutes a hidden annual subsidy of 10,000 persons x $7 million per person = $70 billion; (c) an upward revision (based on London UK data) of annual Australian carbon fuel burning-related deaths of 28,000 would constitute a hidden subsidy of 28,000 persons x $7 million per person = $196 billion; and (d) the 75,000 people who die each from the burning of Australia coal exports would constitute a hidden subsidy (assuming “all men are created equal”) of 75,000 persons x $7 million per person = $525 billion [7].
43. Carbon Price. The Coalition opposes a Carbon Price and abolished Labor's Carbon Tax and the Carbon Price inherent in Labor's legislated ETS scheme. By opposing a price on carbon the effective climate change denialist, climate criminal Turnbull Coalition Government is giving carte blanche to climate criminal corporations to pollute the one common atmosphere and ocean of all nations on earth with horrendous consequences [3-6].
44. Carbon terrorism. The neoliberal ideology-driven Coalition permits polluters to pollute for free the one common atmosphere and ocean of all people, with carbon fuel burning pollutants killing 10,000 (possibly over 20,000) Australians each year, the burning of Australian coal exports killing 75,000 people each year [7] and a disproportionately high Australian contribution to a worsening climate genocide that, unaddressed, may kill 10 billion people this century [4]. One notes by way of comparison that zero (0) Australians have ever been killed in Australia by Muslim-origin non-state terrorist organizations and that Sunni rebel non-state terrorists and US Alliance state terrorists are presently killing about 12,000 Iraqis each year in the Iraq Civil War [7].
45. Carbon Tax and Emissions Trading Scheme. The Labor Minority Government introduced a Carbon Tax and Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) in return for parliamentary support from the pro-environment Greens. Whereas overseas a Carbon Tax means a tax on fossil fuels at the mine gate, under Labor it was confined to a tax on fossil fuel transport (outweighed by huge subsidies), a tax on gas fugitive emissions (scandalously under-estimated by a factor of 140-330, i.e. making fugitive emissions essentially tax-free), and taxation of domestic and industrial fossil fuel end-users with 90% of the receipts being returned to the end-users in a pathetic futile cycle designed to fool the public into believing that something was actually being done to tackle climate change. The Carbon Tax fraud is exceeded by the ETS fraud. The ETS approach (formerly supported by Malcolm Turnbull and the reason for his removal as Liberal Party leader in 2009 by effective climate change denier Tony Abbott) is empirically unsuccessful, is accordingly counterproductive, and is utterly fraudulent in that it involves governments fraudulently selling licences to pollute the one common atmosphere of all countries on Earth. The Coalition has opposed these measures not because they were ineffective (something of which the pro-fossil fuels Coalition would approve) but ostensibly because the Carbon Tax would impact on household budgets and make Australian products less competitive internationally [37].
46. Carmichael coal mine. The annual income from the Turnbull Coalition Government-approved Adani Carmichael coal mine coal of $3.8 billion from $63 /t coal applied to 60 Mt Coal exported annually (most of which may vanish overseas) will be hugely exceeded: (a) by a factor of about 10 times by the resultant $34.8 billion Carbon Debt from applying an expertly-determined $200/t CO2 damage-related Carbon Price to the 174 Mt CO2 estimated from 2.9 t CO2/t coal from burning the exported 60 Mt thermal coal, and (b) by a factor of about 25 times by the $94 billion hidden mortality-related cost from applying the $7 million per person risk-avoidance–based Valued Of a Statistical Life (VOSL) to the 13,400 annual deaths from pollutants deriving from the burning of the annual export of 60 Mt thermal coal [7].
47. Cattle and sheep. World Bank analysts have re-assessed global greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution taking a realistic global warming potential (GWP) for methane, methanogenic livestock and land use into account – they have estimated global GHG pollution at 64 Gt CO2-e per year as compared to the previous FAO estimate of 42 Gt CO2-e per year [56]. This revised estimate means that the World will exceed within 3 years the Terminal Carbon Pollution Budget that must not be exceeded of we are to have a 75% chance of avoiding a catastrophic 2C temperature rise [57]. Anti-science Coalition policy is to maximize exports of methanogenic livestock as well as GHG-generating coal and gas via various Free Trade Agreements.

University science academics are threatened with 10 years in prison via the US-linked Defence Trade Controls Bill if they mention any of thousands of things specified in a huge Defence and Strategic Goods List to overseas students without a permit from the Australian Defence Force or the Australian Public Service [9, 24, 48-50]. Of course, under successive neoliberal Lib-Lab governments academics in general have been highly intimidated by massive job cuts, the massive casualization of academic teaching, and codes of conduct policed by an ever-increasing university bureaucracy that interprets the will of government and the corporate establishment. Of course Muslims are subject to draconian interpretation of anti-terror laws that make agent provocateur-encouraged intemperate utterances in private or accidentally reading certain things off the Web subject to decades in prison [9, 67, 68]. These horrendous abuses were introduced by the Coalition under PM John Howard with craven Labor support. The Coalition has promised to cut off all Federal funds for anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish academics who support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid
49. Cessation, Acknowledgement, Apology, Amends and Assertion “Never again”, C4, CAAAA. The climate criminal Coalition and Labor are both committed to unlimited black coal exports, have approved brown coal exports, have provided huge subsidies to coal burning power plants and have permitted huge coal exporting developments in coastal Queensland that provide a huge threat to the iconic Great Barrier Reef in addition to that posed by man-made global warming and ocean acidification [3]. Indeed the climate criminal Coalition has threatened to take licences off mining companies if they are not sufficiently assiduous in extracting and exporting fossil fuels. Further, The Coalition (aka the COALition) have advanced legislation to block environment groups such as the Australian Conservation Foundation from taking legal action against climate criminal fossil fuel exploitation projects. Pro-coal Turnbull is committed to coal burning domestically and to unlimited coal gas and iron exports (e.g. “Coal is a very important part...the largest single part of the global energy mix and likely to remain that way for a very long time” [70]) – this flies in the face of science that says we must stop burning fossil fuels ASAP and Turnbull's Luddite , anti-science and anti-environment stance on this issue alone makes him unfit to be Prime Minister of Australia.

61. Deforestation. Both the Coalition and Labor continue to permit logging of South East Australian forests, resources that are the best forest carbon sinks in the world. The bipartisan climate criminal Coalition and Labor policy of unlimited coal, gas and iron ore exports is compounded by their policy of logging the best forest carbon sinks in the world, namely the Eucalyptus regnans forests of South Eastern Australia [72].

Under Labor Australia has seen a succession of budget deficits. Labor's profligate stimulus policies that it asserts enabled Australia to avoid disastrous consequences of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), involved chucking scores of billions of dollars at the problem (e.g. building school halls) without thought for useful outcomes. Thus a massive implementation of wind power would have had immense long-term as well as rapid short-term benefits (however the climate criminal Coalition has adopted anti-wind and anti-renewable energy policies). Both the Coalition and Labor economic policies have been based on an utterly unsustainable, bipartisan, climate criminal policy of unlimited coal, gas and iron ore exports. It is estimated that for every $1 paid for coal, future generations will have to spend $2-$3 in today's dollars on requisite generation of biochar to reduce atmospheric CO2 (for every $1 for gas there will be a similar debt of $0.6-$1.0 for subsequent requisite biochar production) – a huge burden of intergenerational inequity. Indeed present intergenerational inequity means that for every $1 received by climate criminal corporations for thermal coal, future generations will inescapably have to pay $1 to $14 (depending on location and technology) to sequester the CO2 from coal combustion [76]. Assuming a damage-related Carbon Price in USD of $200 per tonne CO2-e,
69. Education, Educational Apartheid, educational crisis, educational reform, education should be free. Under the Coalition and Labor Australia's Educational Apartheid system the majority of Australian children attending state schools are disproportionately excluded from a decent education, university, top universities, and top courses such as medicine and law; that 80% of NT Aboriginal children fail to meet basic literacy and numeracy standards; that 47% of Australians are functionally illiterate and 53% are functionally innumerate; and that children attending taxpayer-funded private schools are subject to religious brainwashing (intellectual child abuse) that variously teaches them to accept sexism, misogyny, sexual guilt, unsafe sex, creationism, intelligent design, anti-science miracles and the right to invade, occupy, devastate and ethnically cleanse other countries. Labor's last-minute commitment to “Gonski reforms” for needs-based education funding after nearly 6 years of inaction can be seen as cynical political spin of promising huge amounts of money they don't have and won't get to spend. There are dozens of educational procedural innovations that cost nothing or very little and that can and should be introduced to address the educational crisis but the Coalition has a neoliberal, corporatist model aimed at perpetuating Educational Apartheid and indeed exacerbating it by turning state schools in prosperous areas into quasi-private schools [24-28].
70. Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). The Coalition's opponent Labor is committed to an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) approach to climate change action which is empirically unsuccessful, accordingly counterproductive, is open to market manipulation, and is utterly fraudulent in that an Australian government would fraudulently sell licences to pollute the one common atmosphere of all countries on Earth. In contrast, the Coalition appears to be opposed to an ETS because it would increase household expenses and make Australian industry less competitive internationally. The climate criminal Coalition is quite happy to allow Australian companies to keep using the one common atmosphere and ocean of all countries on earth as an industrial sewer. Malcolm Turnbull was formerly committed to an ETS approach which was why he was removed as Coalition leader in 2009 by Coalition climate change denialists and effective climate change denialists. Pro-coal Turnbull's pro-coal Resources Minister Josh Frydenberg has stated that there is a "strong moral case" to proceed with Adani's $16 billion Carmichael coal mine, whereas there will be 13,400 annual deaths from pollutants deriving from the burning of the annual export of 60 Mt thermal coal from the Turnbull Government-approved Carmichael coal mine, one of the world's largest [7]. According to the Sydney Morning Herald “Sixty-one prominent Australians including Wallabies star David Pocock, a trio of former Australians of the year and eminent scientists and economists have pressed the newly turned 61-year-old Malcolm Turnbull to stop any new coal mines and to put an international moratorium on coal on the agenda of the forthcoming Paris climate talks” [80]. Scientists are demanding cessation of fossil fuel burning ASAP. Charming, articulate, politically correct and good mannered PM Turnbull is only as good as the lowest common denominators of the extreme rightwing Coalition Government he leads.

Both the Coalition and Labor support unlimited gas extraction (conventional, coal seam gas, and fracking-derived gas), gas export and gas burning whereas Australia had already in 2011 exceeded its “fair share” of the world's terminal GHG pollution budget that must not be exceeded if the world is to have a 75% chance of avoiding a catastrophic 2C temperature rise [29]. Labor has repeatedly supported a coal to gas transition for power whereas the reality is that, depending upon the degree of gas leakage, gas burning for power can be dirtier GHG-wise than coal burning. Even if gas burning were clean-er than coal burning, the Coalition- and Labor-approved building of gas-fired power plants with lifetimes of circa 40 years simply blocks the urgently needed progress to 100% renewable energy [33]. The Carbon Tax on gas fugitive emissions was scandalously under-estimated by Labor by a factor of 140-330, this making fugitive emissions essentially tax-free. Apprised of this huge scandal, the Coalition has ignored it and allowed its corporate climate criminal friends and campaign fund donors to defraud the taxpayer of billions of dollars – indeed on gaining office in 2013 the Coalition abolished the Carbon Tax altogether.
83. Gay rights, gay marriage. Despite the Australian Labor Party and an overwhelming majority of Australians being in favor of same sex marriage (marriage equality) , former Labor PM Gillard opposed this reform and Gillard Labor together with the Coalition effectively blocked this reform in the Federal Parliament. The Coalition opposes this reform in keeping with its appalling record of human rights abuse. Both Coalition and Labor Governments have provided huge taxpayer subsidies for private schools that impose sexist, sexual guilt, homophobic and misogynist views on children in a process of gross intellectual child abuse. In this area both the Coalition and Labor are involved in crass, stupid, and ignorant political corruption. About 10,000 Australians die each year from the effects of pollutants from carbon burning, the breakdown being 5,000 (coal burning for power), 2,000 (vehicle exhaust) and 3,000 (other carbon burning excluding bush fires). 18 million Australians (or 75% of Australia ‘s 2015 population of 24 million) live in urban areas and translating the London pollution-related mortality data (9,416 air pollution deaths annually in a population of 8.6 million) to urban Australia corresponds to 9,416 deaths x 18 million/ 8.6 million = 19,707 or about 20,000 urban Australian deaths annually from air pollution involving fine carbon particulates and NO2 [7, 9].
165. Same sex marriage. Despite the Australian Labor Party as a whole being in favor of same sex marriage, Labor PM Gillard was opposed to this and with Coalition support effectively blocked this reform in the Federal parliament. Successive Coalition and Labor Governments have provided huge taxpayer subsidies for private schools that variously impose sexist, sexual guilt, homophobic, misogynist, anti-science and genocidal views on children in a process of egregious intellectual child abuse [25, 28]. While Turnbull supposedly supports marriage equality, part payment to his ultra-conservative Coalition colleagues for his appointment as PM in the September 2013 Coup was to support the Abbott delaying tactics position of holding a $158 million Plebiscite on the matter after the 2016 Federal elections. Turnbull disingenuously argues that a Plebiscite is more democratic than a Parliamentary vote but the Plebiscite result will still require a parliamentary vote to effect legislative change. Further, Turnbull is supposedly for democracy, science and reducing the budget deficit but in supporting a $158 million Plebiscite he conveniently ignores numerous scientific polls conducted expertly at trivial cost and showing that about 70% of Australians support marriage equality. Gay rights aside, this anti-science travesty by PM Turnbull militates against rational risk management crucial for societal safety [90].
166. Schools. Under both Coalition and Labor Governments Australia's Education Apartheid system ensures that the majority of Australian children attending state schools are disproportionately excluded from a decent education, university, top universities, and top courses such as medicine and law; that 80% of NT Aboriginal children fail basic literacy and numeracy standards; that 47% of Australians are functionally illiterate and 53% are functionally innumerate; and that children attending taxpayer-funded private schools are subject to religious brainwashing (intellectual child abuse) that variously teaches them to accept sexism, misogyny, sexual guilt, unsafe sex, creationism, intelligent design, anti-science miracles and the right to invade, occupy, devastate and ethnically cleanse other countries [24-28]. The Coalition-backed National History Curriculum properly deals with the World War 2 Jewish Holocaust but ignores the World War 2 European Holocaust of which it was apart (30 million Slavs, Jews and Gypsies killed), the Chinese Holocaust (40 million Chinese killed under Japanese occupation, 1937-1945) and the 1942-1945 Bengali Holocaust in which the British with Australian complicity deliberately starved 6-7 million Indians to death for strategic reasons [1, 51-54, 89]. Labor's last-minute commitment to “Gonski reforms” for needs-based education funding after nearly 6 years of inaction can be seen as cynical political spin of promising huge amounts of money they don't have and won't get to spend – and of course these reforms were opposed by the Coalition. There are dozens of educational procedural innovations that cost nothing or very little and that can and should be introduced to address the educational crisis [28].
167. Science. Both the Coalition and Labor are outrageously anti-science through ignoring climate science and through support for unlimited coal, gas and iron ore exploitation and export; the use of taxpayer funds to subsidize anti-science intellectual child abuse by religious private schools [24, 25, 28]; by ignoring expert scientific advice over the water needs of the iconic Murray–Darling River system [47]; by ignoring the acute threat posed by fossil fuel export and burning to the Great Barrier Reef [3, 16]; by slashing university research funding; and by grievously threatening the academic freedom of university scientists by the draconian, US-linked Defence Trade Controls Bill (10 years in prison for an academic scientist who mentions any of thousands of things in a huge Defence and Strategic Goods List to non-Australians without a permit from the government Australian Defence Force or the Australian Public Service [24, 48, 49]. The Coalition, in addition to threatening research funding for universities, now proposes to cut off Research and Development support for Industry.
168. Sexual abuse, sexual abuse of children. Labor instituted a Royal Commission that is confined to investigating horrendous institutional child sexual abuse (e.g. up to 40,000 such cases over the last 40 years by Catholic Church personnel). However both the Coalition and Labor ignore the awful reality that 34% of Australian women and 16% of Australian men – 4.4 million Australians in all - have been subject to child sexual abuse i.e. both the Coalition and Labor have ignored this huge non-institutional child sexual abuse [67, 68].
169. Sheep and cattle. World Bank analysts have re-assessed global greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution taking a realistic global warming potential (GWP) for methane, methanogenic livestock and land use into account – they have estimated global GHG pollution at 64 Gt CO2-e per year as compared to the previous FAO estimate of 42 Gt CO2-e per year [56]. This revised estimate means that the World will exceed within 3 years the Terminal Carbon Pollution Budget that must not be exceeded of we are to have a 75% chance of avoiding a catastrophic 2C temperature rise [57]. Anti-science Coalition policy is to maximize exports of methanogenic livestock as well as coal and gas via Free Trade Agreements.
170. Single parents. Labor's commitment to inequity reached a new low when it changed welfare arrangements for single mothers (and single parents in general) leaving this highly vulnerable group and their children about $100 per week worse off and thus consigning already impoverished single parents and their children to dire poverty. The instinctively anti-equity Coalition supports this and in seeking to get back to a Budget surplus is targeting the poor rather than the rich.
171. Smoking. Each year under Coalition or Labor Governments smoking kills about 16,000 Australians and alcohol kills about 3,000, whereas illicit drugs kill about 1,000 Australians each year. Labor laudably introduced plain packaging for cigarettes but smoking and alcohol remain legal and are together linked with the deaths of nearly 20,000 Australians annually [9]. In the past Coalition has accepted election funds from the smoking lobby but was forced to stop this practice. It seems that Free Trade Agreements may permit cigarette corporations to sue Australian governments over profit loss due to anti-smoking measures.

Perhaps the most pervasive spin and slying has been the Lib-Lab (Coalition and Labor Right) assertion that they are “tackling climate change for a clean energy future” when the reality is that Australia's Domestic plus Exported GHG pollution has increased enormously under Labor policies and will likewise increase under pro-coal Turnbull Coalition policies [3], noting that the Coalition has essentially the same climate change inaction policies as Labor but is arguably not so good at climate change spin as Labor.
