UN Makes 2014 International Year Of Solidarity With The Palestinian People – Boycott Apartheid Israel

Last year the United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly voted to proclaim “2014 the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”. Decent people around the world must urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) not just against nuclear terrorist, democracy-by-genocide Apartheid Israel but also against all those people, politicians, parties, companies, corporations and countries that support this grossly human rights-abusing, genocidally racist, serial war criminal Apartheid state.
As summarized below, Zionism is genocidally racist in disgusting theory (race-based colonization and ethnic cleansing of the country of another people) and in awful genocidal practice (the ethnic cleansing of 90% of the land of Palestine in an ongoing Palestinian Genocide).
In 1880 there were about 0.5 million Indigenous Palestinians. Of the 25,000 Jews in Palestine half were immigrants [1, 2]. Theodor Herzl, the founder of Zionism in the 19th century and a genocidally racist proto-Nazi, was of 2 minds of where to create a “Jewish State” , plumping for either Argentina (largely ethnically cleansed of Indigenous Indians in the 19th century by the Spanish colonizers with British and corporate Jewish backing [3, 4] or Palestine, stating “ We should there form a portion of a rampart of Europe against Asia, an outpost of civilization as opposed to barbarism… For Europe we shall constitute there [in Palestine ] a sector of the wall against Asia , we shall serve as the vanguard of culture against barbarism” [3]. According to the Orthodox Jewish tradition, Zionism is heresy and blasphemy in addition to being genocidally racist [5-8]. Indeed Nathan Birnbaum (1864-1937), an early Zionist who coined the term “Zionism”, reverted to Orthodox Judaism and strongly opposed Zionism [9]. Nevertheless political support for Zionism was engendered in Britain , notably by genocidal imperialist and racist mass murderer Benjamin Disraeli who had paradoxically converted from Judaism to Anglicanism [10, 11]. After Britain forced Turkey into WW1 and divided its Middle Eastern Empire between itself and France via the Sykes-Picot Agreement (1916), the British issued the Balfour Declaration in 1917 offering the homeland of the Palestinians as a homeland for Jews [12]. British Jewish Zionist historian Professor Sir Martin Gilbert says that the Balfour Declaration was issued to get Russian Zionists to keep Russia in WW1. [13].
The Balfour Declaration's caveat that “it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country” has been grossly violated by the racist Zionists (RZs) and their Anglo-American supporters. Thus, in 1922 there were 752,000 people in the Palestine Mandate of whom 84,000 (11%) were Jews; by 1945, 1 year after pro-Zionist and racist mass murderer Churchill got the UK War Cabinet to agree to Partition Palestine [11], there were 1.8 million people in Palestine, of whom 0.6 million (33%) were Jews; by 1947 there was a population of 1.5 million of whom 0.65 million were Jews. Racist Zionists ‘corrected” this by expelling 0.8 million Indigenous Palestinians from their land, homes, villages, towns, and cities in the Nakbah (the Catastrophe), one of the most appalling ethnic cleansings inhuman history [14-16]. In 1967 Apartheid Israel attacked its neighbours , seizing all of Palestine and creating hundreds of thousands of further refugees.
Palestinian casualties of war violence total about 80,000 since 1948 and about 100,000 since 1936 [17]. However one must also consider avoidable Palestinian deaths from war-, expulsion- and occupation-imposed deprivation that now total about 1.9 million since 1948. Palestinian refugees total about 7 million. This has been a Palestinian Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention: “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group” [18]. Currently Apartheid is moving 40,000 Bedouin Israelis from their ancestral homes and each year Apartheid Israel passively kills about 3,000 Occupied Palestinian infants, passively murders about 5,600 Occupied Palestinians through deprivation and violently kills on average hundreds Occupied Palestinians each year – the Palestinian Genocide continues. .
In contrast, according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry: “From 1920 through 1999, a total of 2,500 residents of Mandatory Palestine and, since 1948, the State of Israel fell victims to hostile enemy action; in most cases, terrorist attacks” [19] and “1,240 people have been killed by Palestinian violence and terrorism since September 2000” [20].
The race-based, racist Zionist-run Apartheid State of Israel is a democracy by genocide. Of about 12 million Palestinians only about 7% (the adults of 1.7 million Palestinian Israelis, 21% of the Israeli population of 8 million of which 6 million are Jewish Israelis ) can vote for the government ruling all of Palestine plus part of Lebanon and a near-completely ethnically cleansed part of Syria, albeit as third class citizens (one notes that despite overwhelming support, Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy Party has only 7% of the seats in the Myanmar Parliament. [21]). 1.8 million Occupied Palestinians (half of them children) are abusively confined to the Gaza Concentration Camp and 2.2 million Occupied Palestinians live under highly abusive military rule in West Bank Bantustans. About 6 million Palestinians are forbidden to even step foot in their own country. There are 6.0 million Jewish Israelis and 0.3 million Israelis who are non-Jewish and non-Arab.
N early 47 years after the 1967 Israeli conquest of all of Palestine , the Western-backed, invasion-, occupation- , theft- , genocide-, lying- and race-based Apartheid State of Israel still comprehensively violates all basic human rights of the Indigenous Occupied Palestinian People [22, 23]. Numerous outstanding anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish human rights activists condemn Israeli Apartheid, war crimes, genocide and human rights abuse as set out in the websites “Jews Against Racist Zionism” [24], “Non-Jews Against Racist Zionism” [25], “Boycott Apartheid Israel”[26] and “Palestinian Genocide”[16].
Thus, for a small sample of numerous examples that can be given, Jewish American scholar Professor Jared Diamond in his best-selling book "Collapse” (Prologue, p10, Penguin edition) enunciated the "moral principle, namely that it is morally wrong for one people to dispossess, subjugate, or exterminate another people" [24].
Albert Einstein (German Jewish Nobel Laureate for Physics) (1938): “Just one more personal word on the question of partition. I should much rath-er see reasonable agreement with the Arabs on the basis of living together in peace than the creation of a Jewish state. Apart from practical consideration, my awareness of the essential nature of Judaism resists the idea of a Jewish state with borders, an army, and a measure of temporal power no matter how modest. I am afraid of the inner damage Judaism will sustain--especially from the development of a narrow nationalism within our own ranks, against which we have already had to fight strongly, even without a Jewish state." [24].
Sir Isaac Isaacs ( Australia 's most eminent Jewish public figure and Australia 's first Australian-born Governor General) (1946): “The honour of Jews throughout the world demands the renunciation of political Zionism." [24].
Ronnie Kasrils (Jewish hero in the fight against South African Apartheid): “Travelling into Palestine 's West Bank and Gaza Strip, which I visited recently, is like a surreal trip back into an apartheid state of emergency. I try in vain to recall anything quite as obscene in apartheid South Africa .”
Naomi Klein (famous Jewish Canadian humanitarian writer): “There is a debate among Jews - I'm a Jew by the way. The debate boils down to the question: "Never again to everyone, or never again to us?... [Some Jews] even think we get one get-away-with-genocide-free card...There is another strain in the Jewish tradition that say[s], 'Never again to anyone”” [24].
Mahatma Gandhi (famed India human rights leader and founder of the Satyagraha non-violence movement): “ Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs. What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct. ” [25].
Nelson Mandela (famed Nobel Laureate and heroic South African leader in the fight against Apartheid): “The UN took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system. But we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians” [25].
Winnie Mandela (famed heroine in the fight against South African Apartheid): “Apartheid Israel can be defeated, just as apartheid in South Africa was defeated" [26].
Archbishop Desmond Tutu (famed South African anti-apartheid campaigner and Nobel Peace Laureate) (1989): “ If you change the names, the description of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank would be a description of what is happening in South Africa” [26].
The crimes of the racists Zionists go far beyond the human rights abuse of the Palestinians and the Palestinian Genocide. As a dirty tricks surrogate of the US Apartheid Israel has been involved in African wars, the nuclear arming of Apartheid South Africa, the Indian Genocides in Guatemala and Colombia and the Sri Lankan Tamil Genocide, ethnic cleansing of part of Lebanon and Syria, and military attacks on 12 countries. Avoidable deaths from deprivation in countries occupied by Apartheid Israel now total 24 million. Thus the 1950-2005 avoidable deaths in Apartheid Israel and in countries occupied by Apartheid Israel expressed as a percentage of 2005 population are as follows (asterisks indicate post-1945 occupation by other countries): Israel [0.095m/6.685m =1.4%] - Egypt* [19.818m/74.878m = 26.5%], Jordan* [0.630m/5.750m = 11.0%], Lebanon [0.535m/3.761m = 14.2%], Occupied Palestinian Territories* [0.677m/3.815m = 17.7%], Syria* [2.198m/18.650m = 11.8%], total = 23.858m/106.854 = 22.3% [27]. 12 million Muslims have died from violence or from violently-imposed deprivation in the Zionist-promoted US War on Muslims that constitutes a Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide [28]. 1.3 billion people, 0.6 billion of them Muslims, have died avoidably from deprivation since 1950 in a Global Avoidable Mortality Holocaust on Spaceship Earth with Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist (NAZI)-perverted First World ) One Percenters in charge of the flight deck [27], with 10 billion set to perish this century due to worsening Climate Genocide [29].
In the Western nations that back Apartheid Israel , the NAZIs (latterday Nazis) have converted democracies into Zionist-subverted Murdochracies, Lobbyocracies and Corporatocracies in which Big Money buys people, politicians, parties, policies, public perception of reality and political power. Thus t he horrendous financial cost of Israel to Americans has now reached a gigantic $40 trillion in today's dollars. However the human cost involves the preventable deaths of millions of Americans – passive mass murder of Americans in an American Holocaust inflicted by the fiscal perversion of traitorous Neocon American and Zionist Imperialist One Percenters committing $8-10 trillion to ethnic cleansing and active and passive mass murder of Muslims abroad in support of Apartheid Israel instead of keeping Americans alive at home. Zionist-subverted American Government support for Apartheid Israel in circa 2008 dollars totals about $40 trillion, the breakdown being (1) $3 trillion (1948-2003), (2) $4-6 trillion (Zionist-promoted Iraq and Afghan Wars), (3) $0.7 trillion (Value of a Statistical Life- or VSL-based cost of 88,000 US veteran suicides since September 2001) and (4) about $30 trillion (one quarter of the VSL-based cost of 15.6 million preventable American deaths since September 2001). This is an under-estimate because it does not consider the millions of preventable American deaths before 9-11 linked to Zionist subversion and perversion of America [30].
Over one million Americans die preventably each year in America [31] and nearly 30% of African-Americans live in poverty [32] while NAZI-perverted America continues to subvert every country on earth, having already invaded some 70 nations [33]. The long-term accrual cost of the endless, Zionist-promoted War on Terror has been $6 trillion and $125 billion for the US and Australia , respectively, but this fiscal perversion is linked to preventable deaths since 9-11of about 16 million Americans and 0.8 million Australians [34].
There must be comprehensive intra-national and international Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Apartheid Israel and its racist supporters as were successfully applied to US-, UK-, Apartheid Australia- and Apartheid Israel-backed Apartheid South Africa and the individuals, corporations, organizations and countries who supported that egregiously racist, anti-African and anti-Asian White Minority régime. Zionism is genocidal racism and the racist Zionists and their supporters must be sidelined from public life as have been like racists such as the Nazis, neo-Nazis, Apartheiders and KKK. Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) must be universally applied not just against Apartheid Israel but against all people, politicians, parties, companies , corporations and countries backing obscene, racist Apartheid by democracy-by-genocide, serial war criminal. genocidally racist Apartheid Israel .
As that wonderful Palestinian humanitarian Jesus Christ observed: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits” [35]. The Western Corporatocracies are endlessly politically correct racist (PC racist endlessly proclaim liberal values and anti-racism while simultaneously supporting Israeli Apartheid and the ongoing Occupation and Palestinian Genocide. As outlined above, the UK has a primary historical responsibility for Apartheid Israel and the ongoing Palestinian Genocide but the countries most active today in support of this racist rogue state are revealed by recent UN General Assembly votes [36].
Thus a recent UN Report on UN General Assembly resolutions on Palestine makes clear who the pro-Apartheid states are (in bold below): “ The Assembly then adopted four resolutions by recorded vote under that agenda item. By the first, “L.12”, the Assembly proclaimed 2014 the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and requested the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People to organize activities around that observance, in cooperation with Governments, the United Nations system, intergovernmental organisations and civil society. That text was adopted by recorded vote of 110 in favour to 7 against ( Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 56 abstentions.
By a recorded vote of 108 in favour to 7 against ( Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 59 abstentions, the Assembly adopted “L.13” by which it requested the Division for Palestinian Rights to continue to monitor developments relevant to the question of Palestine, and asked the Secretary-General to ensure the continued cooperation with the Division of United Nations bodies in connection with programme components addressing various aspects of the question of Palestine.
Under draft “L.14”, the Assembly encouraged the Department of Public Information's programme on the Question of Palestine to formulate ways for the media and civil society representatives to engage in open and positive discussions to explore means for encouraging people-to-people dialogue and promoting peace and mutual understanding in the region. It was adopted by a recorded vote of 163 in favour to 7 against ( Australia, Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 7 abstentions ( Cameroon, Honduras, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, South Sudan, Togo, Tonga ).
According to the draft resolution on the peaceful settlement of the Question of Palestine, “L.15”, the Assembly, among other things, called for the timely convening of an international conference in Moscow, as envisioned by the Security Council in resolution 1850 (2008), for the advancement and acceleration of the resumed peace process. The draft was adopted by recorded vote of 165 in favour to 6 against ( Canada, Israel, Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 6 abstentions ( Australia, Cameroon, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, South Sudan, Tonga )…
“L.16”, on Jerusalem , stated that all legal and administrative measures taken by Israel to change the legal status of East Jerusalem were null and void, he explained. The draft also, among other things, called for a halt to settlement construction and any attempts to desecrate the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It was adopted by recorded vote with 162 in favour to 6 against ( Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 8 abstentions ( Australia, Cameroon, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, South Sudan, Togo, Tonga).
A resolution on the Syrian Golan, “L.17”, included a call for Israel to withdraw from the territory to 1967 borders… The Assembly adopted that text by a recorded vote of 112 in favour to 6 against ( Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 58 abstentions [ including pro-Apartheid Australia ] …
Next, the draft text on Jerusalem, “L.16”, was adopted, as orally revised, by recorded vote of 162 in favour to 6 against ( Canada, Federated States of Micronesia, Israel, Marshall Islands, Palau, United States ), with 8 abstentions ( Australia, Cameroon, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, South Sudan, Togo, Tonga ).
The Assembly then adopted draft resolution “L.17”, as orally revised, on the Syrian Golan, by a recorded vote of 112 in favour to 6 against ( Canada, Israel, Marshall Island, Palau, United States ) with 58 abstentions [ including pro-Apartheid Australia ]” [36].
The extraordinary support for Apartheid Israel and Apartheid South Africa and against African and Palestinian human rights by the US , Apartheid Israel and variously with the support of US lackeys like Australia , France , Canada and the UK is recorded for the period 1978-2004 in William Blum's book “ Rogue State ” [37].
One sadly notes in conclusion that Jewish Israeli historian Professor Shlomo Sand has concluded that there is no evidence for the asserted Exodus from Egypt, the asserted David and Solomon Empire, or the asserted Exile from Roman Palestine and that the genetic and cultural descendants of the Jewish and non-Jewish Palestinians at the time of Christ are the Indigenous Palestinians currently subject to ethnic cleansing by the racists Zionists – in contrast, the Jewish Israelis are largely the descendants of Yemeni, Berber, Khazar or other converts to a more universalist Judaism in the first millennium AD [38]. Indeed a recent major genetic study published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature has found from mitochondrial DNA analysis that there is a substantial prehistoric European ancestry in Ashkenazi Jewish maternal lineages [39]. Armed with this latest scientific information, will the racist Zionists now demand expulsion of the Germans, Anglo-Saxons, Celts, Scandinavian, Hungarians, Estonians and Slavs back to the Central Asian steppes to make way for a return of Jewish Israelis to their European “homeland”?
Conclusions.
In 2014 in particular, proclaimed by an overwhelming majority of the UN General Assembly as the “International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, decent people around the world must (a) urge and apply sidelining of genocidally racist Zionists (RZs) and their supporters from public life as they have already sidelined like racists such as Nazis, neo-Nazis, Apartheiders and the KKK; (2) urge and apply Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) not just against nuclear terrorist, democracy-by-genocide Apartheid Israel but also against all those people, politicians, parties, companies, corporations and countries that support this grossly human rights-abusing, genocidally racist Apartheid state; and (3) eschew pro-Zionist Mainstream media (notably the pro-war, pro-Zionist, climate change denialist Murdoch media [40]) and inform everyone they can about our need to support the sorely oppressed Palestinian people.

Dr Gideon Polya has been teaching science students at a major Australian university for 4 decades.
