Punjab Launches 'Democratic Front Against
Operation Green Hunt'

In order to express their opposition to the brutal Operation Green Hunt, many intellectuals in Punjab have formed a 'DEMOCRATIC FRONT AGAINST OPERATION GREEN HUNT' under the convenership and patronage of noted peoples' dramatist Sh. Gursharan Singh, Dr. Parminder Singh, Dr. A.K.Maleri & Master Yash Pal. To make
the people aware about the repression being perpetuated on the tribals through Operation Green Hunt, and to raise their democratic consciousness, the FRONT has decided to hold conventions through out Punjab from 1st July to 16 th July at Chandigarh, Samrala, Ludhiana, Jallandhar, Amritsar, Zira, Moga, Bhadaur, Barnala, Rampura, Bathinda, Mukatsar, Giddarbaha, Sirsa, Sunam & Dabwali. During this period noted Gandhian Social Worker Himanshu Kumar, shall be conducting a cycle-march in Punjab along with his companions and he shall address all these conventions along with the Convenors of the Front.
