Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israel will not allow any humanitarian aid into Gaza to pressure Hamas, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday, as Israel expands its assault on the Palestinian enclave and continues a blockade that has prevented aid from entering for over a month.
“Israel’s policy is clear and no humanitarian aid will be allowed into Gaza,” Israel Katz said in a statement on X.
Preventing humanitarian aid from entering the Strip “is one of the main pressure tools that stops Hamas from using this means against the population,” Katz claimed.
“In the current reality, no one is going to allow any humanitarian aid into Gaza, and no preparations are being made to allow any aid of this kind,” he said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Doctors Without Borders, or MSF, denounced the “full siege” of Gaza which has depleted food, fuel and medical stocks.
Palestinian lives are being systematically destroyed as Israel’s continued bombardment of the Gaza Strip shows a “blatant disregard” for the safety of humanitarian workers, MSF warned.
“Gaza has been turned into a mass grave of Palestinians and those coming to their assistance. We are witnessing in real time the destruction and forced displacement of the entire population in Gaza,” said Amande Bazerolle, MSF’s emergency coordinator in the enclave.
The UN relief coordination office (OCHA) said on Monday that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is the worst it has been since the start of the war. According to OCHA, it has been more than a month since Israeli occupation authorities allowed the entry of aid into the territory, the longest blockade the Gaza Strip has experienced.
“The humanitarian situation in Gaza is now likely the worst it has been in the 18 months since the outbreak of hostilities,” the UN agency said in an update.
According to the IPC Acute Food Insecurity classification, between November 2024 and April 2025, more than 90 percent of Gaza’s population are classified under IPC Phase 3 (Crisis) or above.

Nearly half of the population is facing emergency levels of food insecurity (phase 4), while 16 percent faces catastrophic insecurity (phase 5).
Since Israel’s resumption of the war almost one month ago, there have been 1,630 recorded killings in Gaza, a majority of them children and women. More than 51,000 have been killed since 7 October 2023, with more than 116,343 wounded.
