Ranchi, 9 June 2025: Prohibition of Irregular Deposit Schemes Act 2019 i.e. Buds Act in Jharkhand immediately and to return the hard-earned deposits of the people by dozens of companies like Sahara India, APLine, Sai Prakash, Pulse, Welfare, Vishwamitra, Rose Valley etc. and to take strict action against those who looted it, a large number of people marched to Raj Bhavan today under the banner of Jharkhand Navnirman Dal on the 125th martyrdom day of Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda. The march was led by Vijay Singh, Central Convenor of Jharkhand Navnirman Dal. After the march, a big meeting was organized and a 13-point memorandum of demands was sent to the Governor, which was also sent to the President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister Hemant Soren for necessary action.

Addressing the meeting held on this occasion, the chief guest of the program, National Treasurer of All India People’s Front, Dinkar Kapoor said that the state of Jharkhand, formed for the tribal sentiments and their rights, has today become the center of loot by corporate houses. Water, forest, land, minerals and natural resources are being looted. Local tribals and Dalits are facing the brunt of displacement and migration. Microfinance companies are doing modern usury by charging arbitrary interest by giving loans to people in the backward areas of the state. The lifelong savings of the people were usurped by non-banking companies. To stop this loot, the Buds Act was passed by the Parliament of the country in 2019. Before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the Government of India even got forms filled by the people to get their money back. But after the elections, everything was put on hold. He demanded the government to implement Buds Act and make laws in Jharkhand like Andhra Pradesh for the regulation of micro finance companies. He said that there is no dearth of resources in the country. If proper tax is imposed on the property of 200 big capital houses of the country and the economy of black money is regulated, then quality and free education-health, employment and respectable life can be guaranteed for every citizen of the country. Also, one crore government posts lying vacant across the country including Jharkhand can be filled. Youth organizations across the country are running Rozgar Adhikar Abhiyan on this issue, which will also be expanded in Jharkhand.

In the meeting, Central Convenor of Jharkhand Navnirman Dal Vijay Singh said that both the existence and identity of the tribals are being attacked. All-round efforts are being made to destroy their religious tradition, culture, civilization, dialect, script, language. It was demanded that like 1951, a column of tribal religion should also be added in the census declared by the Government of India. Also, the Forest Rights Act made for the ancestral rights of tribals on land should be strictly implemented. The rights of the tribals on agriculture, minerals and natural resources should be ensured and the plunder of water, forest, land and minerals should be stopped. Tribal women leader Pushpa Oraon said that the government should give a grant of Rs. 10 lakh to women’s groups for enterprise and business and take the responsibility of providing market for their products. UP’s AIPF state working committee member and tribal leader Kripashankar Panika said that the BJP-RSS government has waged a war against the tribals. We have to unite against the attempt to wipe out the existence of tribals for corporate profits.

In the programme, demands were raised to strengthen MNREGA to stop migration and provide 200 days of work and Rs. 400 as wages, make a law similar to MNREGA for urban areas, give employee status and respectable honorarium to scheme workers, make local and planning policy, remove the ramp to destroy the Sarna worship place in Sirmatoli, start the closed factories including HC Hatia and make government schemes in accordance with local culture, lifestyle, environment etc.
