AZADI! BOLO AZADI!

Wait! Wait! Wait!
For what? Again another debate?
Where plots are set for an organised lie
Tantrums of intellectuals, leaving others to die

Fire is all set to burn the city
Ignoring all the screams in its vicinity
Poverty claims who is going to be its next prey
Heads gamble lives, Azaadi stands far away

Barren hearted farmer walks restlessly
Their throat and pockets moan remorsefully
Sold out newspapers fumble with no farmers
Others dress up red like nation’s housekeepers

Gangrene! Anti national! Threat to the nation
Debaters name them answering zero question
Emotions tremble today in fake reality shows
Truth dilutes in bureaucracy, propaganda flows

Wait! Wait! Wait!
Death of oppressed is the next on the bait
One! Two! Three! Ah, the rope blisters the body
Wonder is the fight of farmer’s food and a rich daddy

Hustle! Muscle! Start another tussle
Every tussle restricts a voice protesting a bustle
Start a debate on Hindutva today, shift to Hijab
That’s all for sanity to visit an insane rehab

They trick every mind over cynical nationalism
Beating stacks of facts, coldly murdered organism
It’s a circus! Every leader is a sense tamer
Here even the sky floats as another reframer!
