I suggest having a bookcase in each apartment building, condominium building, office building, school, college, university, place of worship, government building, etc. where people can leave books, magazines, audiobooks on CDs and cassettes, movies on DVDs and videotapes, music on CDs and cassettes, etc. that they no longer want for other people to take.
Reusing products left in these free libraries saves money and allows products to be used to their fullest extent. Also, reusing products decreases waste, landfill size, pollution, energy consumption, natural resource consumption, greenhouse gas emissions causing climate change, etc.
The free libraries that people have in their front yards usually have books that appeal to a broader audience. In a free library in an electronics design company, a retiring engineer could leave her electronics books for other engineers to take. In a free library in a university chemistry department, a retiring professor could leave his chemistry books for other professors and graduate students to take. In a free library in a church, an individual could leave her Christianity books for other people to take.
Suggest the idea of a free library to your residential building mangers, office managers, administrators for educational institutions, clergy, politicians, etc. and give them a link to this article.
