Anti-Asian Racism Entrenched In Newly-elected Gaza Genocide-Complicit Australian Labor Government

White Australia has a 237-year history of genocidal racism from the commencement of the Aboriginal  Genocide in 1788  to the landslide victory of the Gaza Genocide-complicit Labor Government in 2025. Women and men are roughly equal in numbers in the new Labor Ministry but Europeans, non-Europeans and Asians who represent 74.7%, 25.3% and 17.4% of the Australian population, respectively, are 90.5%,  9.5% and 2.4%, respectively, of the new Labor Government Ministry.

The important Australian “Leading for Change” analysis (2018) argued that “Our national success and prosperity depends on us getting the most from our multicultural talents”. However they revealed a shockingly huge disparity  in  showing that while Europeans and non-Europeans were 76% and 24%, respectively, of the Australian population, they represented 94.9% and 5.1%, respectively, of the senior leadership  of  Australian organizations and institutions such as the Federal Parliament, universities and Australian Stock Exchange-listed companies [1, 2].

I have applied the same kind of analysis to the composition of the Cabinet and Ministry of the previous Labor Government (2022-2025) and to the composition  of the Cabinet and  Ministry of the new Labor Government that was returned to power in a landslide victory on 3 May 2025. In short, while men and women have a similar representation, Asians and non-Europeans are grossly under-represented  in both the Cabinet and Ministry of the newly-elected Australian  Labor Party (ALP) Government. Racist is as racist does.

The evident racism of the Australian Labor Government (elected only a fortnight ago) tarnishes the reputation of Australia and of all Australians. However it is well-hidden by egregiously mendacious Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes whose racism and  lying must be roundly condemned and boycotted by decent Australians and by decent Humanity in general. In vain as a decent Australian one protests that the core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth and that Racism and Lying grossly violate this fundamental moral imperative. 

(A). The previous Labor Government (2022-2025) was elected in May 2022 after being in Opposition since 2013. The Labor Ministry was amended in January 2025 and was composed of  23 Cabinet Ministers, 6 Outer Ministers and 12 Assistant Ministers for a 41 member Ministry.

The diversity of this First Albanese Labor Cabinet Ministry is revealing. The 23 Cabinet Ministers comprised 21 Europeans (91.3%), 12 men (52.2%), 11 women (47.8%), 2 non-Europeans (Chinese Penny Wong and  Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy:8.7%), 1 Asian (Penny Wong, 4.3%), 1 Aboriginal (Malarndirri McCarthy, 4.3%), 1 Jew (Mark Dreyfus, 4.3%), and 1 Muslim (Bosnian Muslim Ed Husic, 4.3%).

The full 41-member Ministry (i.e. including  the  Outer Ministers and 12 Assistant Ministers) comprised 38 Europeans (92.7%), 23 men (56.1%), 18 women (43.9%), 3 non-Europeans (Chinese Penny Wong,  Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy, and Muslim Egyptian Anne Aly, 7.3%), 1 Jew (Mark Dreyfus, 2.4%), 1 Asian (Penny Wong, 2.4%), 1 Indigenous (Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy, 2.4%), 1 North Africa and Middle East (Anne Aly, 2.4%)  and 2 Muslims (Bosnian Muslim Ed Husic and Egyptian Muslim Anne Aly, 4.9%) [3].  

According to the 2021 Australian Census, the Australian population of 25.4 million people was 74.7% European (73.3% from Europe and 1.4% from the Americas), and  25.3% non-European (this including the 17.4% Asian, 3.2% Indigenous, 1.4% North Africa and Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa 1.3%, Pacifika [non-Maori Pacific Islander] and 0.7% Maori from New Zealand members). About 51% were women, 49% were men, 0.5% were Jewish, and 3.2% Muslims [4-7].

Using this data one can readily determine the disproportionality of diverse representation in the 2022-2025 Labor Government:

(a). Of the  23 Cabinet Ministers Europeans were  over-represented 91.3%/74.7% = 1.2-fold, the men 52.2%/49% = 1.1-fold, Muslims by 4.3%/3.2% = 1.3-fold, Aboriginals by 4.3%/3.2% = 1.3-fold, and Jews by 4.3%/0.5% = 8.6-fold.  

Non-Europeans  were under- represented 8.7%/25.3% = 0.3-fold, women by 47.8%/ 51% =  0.9-fold,  non-Europeans by 8.7%/ 25.3% = 0.3-fold, and Asians by 4.3%/17.4% = 0.2-fold),

(b). Of the total of 41 in the overall Ministry  Europeans were over-represented 92.7%/74.7% = 1.2-fold, men 56.1%/49% = 1.1-fold, North African and Middle East 2.4%/ 1.4% = 1.7-fold, Muslims 4.9%/3.2% = 1.5-fold

and Jews 2.5%/0.5% =5.0-fold

Non-Europeans were under-represented 7.3%/25.3% = 0.3-fold, women 43.9% /51% = 0.9-fold, Asians 2.4%/17.4% = 0.14-fold, Indigenous 2.4%/3.2% = 0.75-fold. There were zero (0) Sub-Saharan Africans, Pacifika [non-Maori Pacific Islanders] and Maoris (from New Zealand).

(B). The new Labor Government was elected on 3 May 2025 for another 3 year term [9].

The 23 new Cabinet Ministers included 20 Europeans (87.0%), 11 men (47.8%), 12 women (52.2%), 3 non-Europeans (Chinese Penny Wong,  Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy, and Muslim Egyptian Anne Aly:13.0%), 1 Asian (Penny Wong, 4.3%), 1 Aboriginal (Malarndirri McCarthy, 4.3%), and 1 Muslim (Anne Aly, 4.3%). The axing of senior Ministers Mark Dreyfus (Jewish) and Ed Husic (Bosnian Muslim) meant that there were no Jews and only 1 Muslim in the Cabinet.

The full 42-member Ministry (i.e. including  the 23 Cabinet Ministers, 7 Outer Ministers and 12 Assistant Ministers) comprised 38 Europeans (90.5%), 23 men (54.8%), 19 women (45.2%), 4 non-Europeans (Chinese Penny Wong,  Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy, Muslim Egyptian Anne Aly and Christian Egyptian Peter Khalil, 9.5%), 1 Asian (Penny Wong, 2.4%),1 Indigenous (Aboriginal Malarndirri McCarthy, 2.4%), 2 North African and Middle East (Anne Aly and Peter Khalil, 4.8%)  and 1 Muslim (Egyptian Muslim Anne Aly; 2.4%).  

(a). Of the  23 Cabinet Ministers Europeans were  over-represented 87.0%/74.7% = 1.2-fold, Muslims by 4.3%/3.2% = 1.3-fold, Aboriginals by 4.3%/3.2% = 1.3-fold.  

Non-Europeans  were under- represented 13.0%/%/25.3% = 0.5-fold, women by 52.2%/ 51% =  1.02-fold,  the men 47.8%/49% = 0.98-fold, non-Europeans by 13.0%/ 25.3% = 0.5-fold, and Asians by 4.3%/17.4% = 0.2-fold),

(b). Of the total of 42 in the overall Ministry  Europeans were over-represented 90.5% /74.7% = 1.2-fold, men 54.8%/49% = 1.1-fold, and North African and Middle East 4.8%/ 1.4% = 3.4-fold.

Non-Europeans were under-represented 9.5%/25.3% = 0.4-fold, women 45.2%/51% = 0.9-fold, Asians 2.4%/17.4% = 0.14-fold, Indigenous 2.4%/3.2% = 0.75-fold. There were zero (0) Sub-Saharan Africans, Pacifika [non-Maori Pacific Islanders] and Maoris (from New Zealand).

(C ). Summary of the disproportionate representation.

According to the 2021 Australian Census, the Australian population of 25.4 million people was 74.7% European (25.3% non-European), 51% women (49% men), 17.4% Asian, 0.5% Jewish and 3.2% Muslim.

(A). (a). The 2022-2025 First Albanese Labor Government’s  23-member Cabinet was 91.3% European (8.7% non-European), 47.8% women (52.2% men), 4.3% Asian, 4.3% Jewish and 4.3% Muslim.

(b). The 2022-2025 First Albanese Labor Government’s 41-member Ministry was 92.7% European (7.3% non-European ), 56.1% men (43.9% women), 2.4% Asian, 2.4% Jewish, and 4.9% Muslim.

(B). (a). The 2025 onwards  Second Albanese Government’s 23-member Cabinet is 87.0% European (13.0% non-European), 47.8% men (52.2% women), 4.3% Asian, 4.3% Muslim, and 0.0% Jewish.

(b).  The 2025 onwards Second Albanese Government’s 42-member Ministry is 90.5% European (9.5% non-European), 54.8% men (45.2% women), 2.4% Asian, 2.4% Muslim, and 0.0% Jewish.  

While women and men are roughly balanced in both the First and Second Albanese Labor Governments, non-Europeans are grossly under-represented by a factor of about 10 and Asians are grossly under-represented by a factor of  about 7.  While equal representation of women in the Labor Ministry  is excellent, thoroughly warranted, and legislatively and socially very productive, the failure of these women (with the notable exceptions of the Greens, ex-Green Senator Lidia Thorpe, and ex-Labor Senator Fatima Payman) to redress the egregious anti-non-European and anti-Asian racism in the Australian Labor Party (e.g. as documented above and by inaction over the horrific Gaza Genocide) is to be deplored.

(D). The Zionist-perverted Australian Labor Government’s anti-Asian and anti-non-European racism is simply the latest in 237 years of racist White Australian crimes against Humanity.

It is necessary to summarize 237 years of White Australian racism by the numbers.

(1). The “claiming”  of Australia by the genocidal  British (1770).

In 1770 the great British navigator Captain Cook “discovered” the East coast of Australia and “claimed” it as a possession of the genocidal British Empire. This happened at the same time as the 1769-1770 Great Bengal Famine in which 10 million Bengalis starved  to death due to merciless British rapacity, the British having gained the “right” to tax Bengalis after the 1757 Battle of Plassey. In the 18th century the British  were in a war with the French for domination of the world. However in 1776 the British colonists in America broke with Britain for the “right” to invade and ethnically cleanse the American Indians to the West  (by the mid-1840s the Indians had been killed or otherwise totally expelled from East of the Mississippi River by the genocidal Americans)[10].

(2). The Australian Aboriginal Genocide (1788 onwards).

The British invasion and Australian Aboriginal Genocide commenced on 26 January 1788 and is continuing. The ongoing Aboriginal Genocide (about 2 million killed by violence or imposed deprivation and disease since1788) is largely ignored in Australia, with former Coalition PM John Howard dismissing such concerns as “The black arm-band view of history” and former Coalition PM Tony Abbott asserting of pre-invasion Sydney that “back in 1788 it was nothing but bush”.  The Indigenous population fell from about 1 million in 1788 to 0.1 million by 1901 due to violence, dispossession, deprivation and introduced disease. Indigenous Australians were counted under a Flora and Fauna Act until they were finally counted as Australian citizens by Referendum in 1967. Indigenous land rights were first granted by the reformist Whitlam Labor  Government (1972-1975), were extended by the 1992 Mabo Decision of the High Court that abolished the colonial lie of “terra nullius” (a supposedly  “empty land” that justified colonial invasion, dispossession and genocide). Land rights, Treaty, Truth-telling  and an Indigenous Voice are continuing issues for Indigenous Australians if not for racist White Australians [11, 12].

Before the British invasion in 1788 there were 350-750 distinct Aboriginal languages and dialects but today there are only about 150 and of these all but about  20 are endangered through continuing Aboriginal Ethnocide involving  large-scale historical removal of about 0.1 million Indigenous children from their mothers and communities (the Stolen Generations) and  government policies inimical to bilingual education, and Indigenous communities living on traditional lands. From a qualitative perspective, the continuing Australian Aboriginal Genocide and Australian Aboriginal Ethnocide have been the worst in human history. Indigenous Australians have a life expectancy about 9 years less than that of non-Indigenous Australians, and overall are much worse off than non-Indigenous Australians in relation to health, housing, education, infant mortality and employment.  In 2022 Australians overwhelmingly rejected by Referendum the proposition of a Constitutionally-guaranteed but otherwise powerless Indigenous Voice.  Australians overwhelmingly rejected hearing from the oldest civilization in the world that had prospered and preserved Australian animals, plants and ecosystems for 65,0000 years [11, 12] [I still have a Yes placard in my front yard and voted Yes principally out of respect and good manners].

(3). Racist White Australia Policy (formally 1901-1973 but actually still continuing).

The 6 genocidal British colonies in Australia federated to form the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901. One of the first acts was to install what became known as the White Australia Policy that banned Asians and non-Europeans from Australia. The impetus came from violent opposition to assiduous Chinese miners in the 1850s gold rushes and thence from unions,  the fervently racist Australian Labor Party and the usual crop of racist conservatives. Thus the first PM of Australia, Edmund Barton, debating the White Australia Policy in the first Australian Federal Parliament (1901): “The doctrine of the equality of man was never intended to apply to the equality of an Englishman and the Chinaman”.  The official Australian Labor Party platform (1900): “Total exclusion if coloured and other undesirable races”. Leading Labor figure and eventually leader of the Opposition  Arthur Calwell (1940s to 1960s) notoriously stated “Two Wongs do not make a White”, “We will not let the Asian hordes contaminate our golden shores”, and “We can have a white Australia, we can have a black Australia, but a mongrel Australia is impossible”.   

The White Australia Policy began to falter in the 1950s and 1960s due to Asian students studying at Australian universities. Indeed I and my dear late wife  (an Indian from the British colony Fiji) married in 1966, 7 years before the White Australia Policy was abolished in 1973 by the reformist Whitlam Government that further attempted to abolish racism in general by the 1975 Racial Discrimination Act. However a government racism continues with  highly discriminatory ready issuance of entry visas to people who one can (after the fashion of Apartheid South Africa) call “Whites” and “honorary Whites” (e.g. Japanese) but not to “non-Whites”. Of course the wars and killing do not end with armistice or peace agreements. Thus 1950-2005 global avoidable deaths from deprivation totalled about 1,500 million with under-5 year old infants representing about 70% of these avoidable deaths from deprivation [10].

(4). Racist White Australian involvement in British and American wars.

War is the penultimate in racism and genocide the ultimate in racism. White Australia was a fervent supporter of Britain and British imperialism. Indeed it is reasonable to suppose that the very “discovery” of Australia in 1770 and the invasion of Australia in 1788 were substantially connected with the 18th century Anglo-French War and in particular the Anglo-French conflict in India. However in Australia  children are taught that the British colonization [genocidal invasion] of Australia was to obtain an alternative to America as a penal colony for convicts (America having been lost in 1776). Australians participated in (a) the Sudan War, (b) the Boer War in South Africa, (c) World War 1 (WW1), (d) World War 2 (WW2), and (e ) post-WW2 American wars. About 100,000 Australians died in these wars [10].

However the deadly impact of wars does not end with armistice and peace agreements but can continue with more wars, civil wars, and avoidable deaths from colonial and neo-colonial deprivation and hegemony. Thus consider the impact of the following Australia-involved wars on Palestine in the 21st century alone:

(a). Sudan War consequences. The Sudan War led to British rule and horrendous post-colonial  conflicts. Apartheid Israel supplied arms for the deadly South Sudan civil war [13, 14], bombed Sudan in 2009 [15] and  secured recognition from the Palestine-betraying Sudan military dictatorship (and no doubt with a deadly quid pro quo), with the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF)  engaged in the horrific Sudan Civil War (10 million displaced) with the genocidal, UAE-backed Rapid Response Forces (RSF) [16]. Apartheid Israel may have assisted the RSF in the bombing Port Sudan  held by the Iran-backed SAF [17]. The RSF has adopted the Israeli strategy of using human rights terminology to whitewash genocide [18]. The details of Apartheid Israeli involvement in the utterly shocking Sudan Genocide (13 million deaths from violence and deprivation, 1955-2018) [10, 19-22]) await exposure by war crimes trials of all those involved.

(b). Boer war consequences. Apartheid Israel backed neo-Nazi Apartheid South Africa with sanctions-busting, arms and even nuclear weapons. However post-Apartheid South Africa took neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel to the International Court of Justice (ICJ)  and International Criminal Court (ICC) with the consequences that the ICJ and the UNGA have demanded an immediate Ceasefire and end to the war criminal Apartheid  Israeli Occupation, and the ICC has issued arrest warrants for PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. 

(c). WW1 consequences. Defeat of the Turks at Beersheba by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs) on 31 October 1917 led immediately to the Balfour Declaration on 12 November 1917 handing over the ancient and culturally super-important land of Palestine  to genocidal colonization by proto-Nazi Zionists. By Anzac Day 25 April 2025 the Gaza Genocide has been associated with 680,000 Gaza deaths from violence and deprivation, this including 380,000 infants, a total of 479,000 children, 63,000 women, and 138,000 men. By 25 April 2025 the century-long Palestinian Genocide was associated with 2.7 million deaths from violence, 0.2 million, and imposed deprivation, 2.5 million [23].  

(d). WW2 consequences. The punitive post-WW1 Versailles Treaty inevitably led to the rise of Nazism, WW2, 35 million deaths (Western Theatre), 45 million deaths (Eastern Theatre), the Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million killed), and genocidal UK-backed Zionist colonization of Palestine. The dissolution of the European Empires was associated with deadly wars and civil wars. Apartheid Israel was variously involved in these atrocities, notably attacking some 13 countries (Tunisia, Libya, Uganda, Sudan, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Turkey and even the US). Thus in the 21st century Apartheid Israel supplied arms to Myanmar for the  Rohingya Genocide, to Sri Lanka for the Tamil Genocide, to Guatemala for the Mayan Indian Genocide, and to parties in the ongoing  Sudanese Genocide.

(e). Post-WW2 US wars. Variously as a world-leading climate criminal or ally of the UK and the US,  Australia has violated all 80 Indo-Pacific  countries  within living memory (i.e. in the last 85 years) and Australians were involved in 8 of numerous American coups to remove governments the US didn’t like [24-26]. One of the first atrocities directly involving Australia in this “within living memory” period was the  WW2 Bengali Holocaust (WW2 Indian Holocaust, WW2 Bengal Famine; 6-7 million Indians deliberately starved to death for strategic reasons by the British with food-denying Australian complicity in Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha)[27-30]. The large-scale deletion or gross diminution of this man-made atrocity from British, Australian and English-language historiography was followed by similar extensive white-washing of US and Israeli atrocities post-WW2 and notably in the 21st century. Australia was involved in all 1950 onwards US Asian wars,  atrocities associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence and imposed deprivation (Labor was involved in all but the Vietnam War and the Iraq War).

In the 21st century Apartheid Israel was heavily involved in the post-9/11 US War on Terror (bombing Palestine, Lebanon, Syria Iraq, Iran, Syria and Yemen) and was very likely involved in commission of that atrocity (the “official lying Bush version of 9/11”  violates  science and reason in many ways, 9/11 could only have been achieved by a major US-linked nation state, and 9/11 greatly benefited Apartheid Israel) [31].  32 million Muslims died from violence (5 million) and imposed deprivation (27 million) in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity that killed 3,000 innocent Americans [32]. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and US Deputy Director of Defence Paul Wolfowitz planned and executed the Iraq War  (Professor Jeffrey Sachs [33]). In the 21st century Apartheid Israel attacked numerous countries and was complicit in the 2000 Fiji Coup that removed democratically-elected PM Mahendra Chaudhry and the 2010 Australian pro-Zionist-led Coup that removed democratically-elected PM Kevin Rudd [24, 25].

Final comments and conclusions

The % composition of the Australian population (with % composition of the new Australia Labor Government Ministry in brackets): 74.7% European (90.5%), 51% female (45.2%), 25.3% non-European (9.5%) and 17.4% Asian (2.4%).

I sent the following summary to major Mainstream Australian media but there was no response, the Silence was Deafening: “Victorious Labor’s faction-based axing of accomplished senior ministers Mark Dreyfus[Jewish]  and Ed Husic [Muslim] was a witless Labor rejection of diversity. The important “Leading for Change” analysis (2018) argued that “Our national success and prosperity depends on us getting the most from our multicultural talents” but  showed that while Europeans and non-Europeans were 76% and 24%, respectively, of the Australian population, they represented 94.9% and 5.1%, respectively, of the senior leadership  of  Australian organizations and institutions. Similarly, in 2025 the Europeans (20) and non-Europeans (3) are 87.0% and 13.0%, respectively of the 23-member Cabinet of the new  Labor Government. Indeed if one includes the Outer Ministry (7) and Assistant  Ministers (12),  the Europeans (38) and non-Europeans (now 4) are 90.5% and 9.5%, respectively, of the 42 member Ministry. Faction-ridden, neoliberal and US lackey Labor has failed in its first task. As if Labor’s unforgivable  complicity  in the ongoing Gaza Genocide were not enough, it has now effectively resurrected Labor Minister Arthur Calwell’s obscene inequality “Two Wongs don’t make a White”. French advice: Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose – the more it changes, the more it’s the same thing”.

Racist is as racist does. The Australian Labor Government for all its “political correctness” is in practice following a long-standing tradition of racist White Australia as enunciated by its first PM Edmund Barton in 1901:  “The doctrine of the equality of man was never intended to apply to the equality of an Englishman and the Chinaman” [19].

Of course the racism  of the Australian Labor Party  (ALP) and the even worse Liberal Party-National Party Coalition was apparent  for 77 years by their recognition of genocidally racist Apartheid Israel (that had seized and largely ethnically cleansed 78% of Palestine) while still today resolutely refusing to recognize the State of Palestine. Indeed under either Labor or the Coalition Zionist-perverted racist White Australia   was second only to the US as a fervent supporter of Apartheid Israel.

Apartheid in South Africa was finally defeated in 1994,  31 years ago, after 34 years  of global boycotts and sanctions following the Sharpeville Massacre of 1960 in which 69 Africans were3 killed. After the killing of 680,000 Palestinians (mostly children) Australia still refuses to recognize the State  of Palestine. The Australian Labor Government is complicit in the Gaza Genocide in 20 ways [34] and lies for Apartheid Israel  in 35 ways [35, 36]. The Coalition Opposition is even worse. Notwithstanding the horrific Gaza Genocide, Australia still fervently supports Apartheid Israel and hence the vile crime of Apartheid. Racism is as racism does. Those who support Apartheid are unfit for decent company, public life and public office in any  one-person-one-vote democracy  like Australia.

The Australian Labor Government was re-elected to power on 3 May 2025 with a huge majority due to (a) preferences from the pro-Palestinian human rights Greens in Australia’s compulsory and preferential  voting system, and (b)  the comprehensive awfulness of the far right Coalition that declared that it would not  act on ICC-issued arrest  warrants  for Zionist Israeli war criminals and mass murderers of children and mothers Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant.

However its cowardly subservience to racist Zionism and to Zionist-perverted America means that the new Australian Labor Government  has feet of clay. Indeed any properly informed member of Humanity having intimacy with Australians or  buying goods and services from Australians will be compelled to query what  kind of person they are dealing with.
