PFLP stages rally in Gaza supporting Palestinian Resistance

PFLP

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine staged a memorable rally in Gaza on October 25th, in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem. It is a testimony of the determination of the organisation to battle Israel against all odds.

A member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP in the Gaza Strip, Saleh Nasser, confirmed that the Palestinian people have treaded the path of resistance in every possible form to confront Israeli hegemony, inspite of their backs being placed to the wall.

“Our people are subjected to collective punishments, abuse, cold-blooded executions, arrests and demolition of homes in all cities of the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip,” Nasser said.

“This is an open war that escalates daily in the worst forms of persecution and fascist racism, as well as in the implementation of policies aimed at the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population, in flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law.”

In addition the PFLP, organised a funeral in Gaza on Monday to mourn Tamer Kilani, one of the leaders of the Nablus-based resistance group Lions’ Den.Thousands participated in the funeral, which was organized by the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the PFLP. It was manifestation of the thirst in the Palestinian community to avenge the blood thirsty manoeuvres of Israel.

Another influential member of the Political Bureau of the PFLP in Gaza, Mahmoud al-Ras, said that organizing the funeral in Gaza “is a confirmation that we are one people and that our destiny is one.”

Al-Ras stressed that “the path of resistance is a path towards unity against the occupation.”

Tamer Kilani was killed on Sunday when an explosive device exploded in the Old City of Nablus.

The following day, five other Palestinians, including top Lions’ Den commander name, were also killed in Nablus, and sixth Palestinian in Ramallah.

Earlier on October 20th House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday met at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh, with Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mezher, who visited him with an accompanying delegation from the Front’s command. The meeting took place in the presence of Amal Movement’s politburo member, Mohammad Jibawi.Discussions were initiated  on the current developments inside the occupied Palestinian territories in the context of the intensifying  of Israeli aggression against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in al-Quds al-Sharif and al-Aqsa Mosque.

Speaker Berri saluted the relentless spirit and heroic defiance of the Palestinian in the aftermath of the Israeli occupation and its Judaization designs. On the other hand, Berri met with former Vice Speaker, Elie Ferzli, with whom he discussed the most recent political developments.

Speaker Berri is highly keen on electing a president who will uphold the Taif Agreement and will work to enable it’s banner to flutter in every moment.

A leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khalida Jarrar, said the only method to instill radical change within the Palestinian political system is with holding elections, starting with the Palestinian National Council (PNC) elections. Speaking to Al-Resala.net, Jarrar said the elections need a national consensus on a strategy through national dialogue that addresses reforming the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and mainly holding PNC elections.

In recent times in an interview the leader of the PFLP confirmed it’s aspirations to overpower Israel even in the darkest days, asserting that history was on their side. The interview s a must read for all progressive people, where he projects how inspite  of looking dead and buried, the PLFP has risen like  a phoenix from the Ashes, never compromising and determined to formulate a strategy . It is remarkable that inspite of facing adversity at rock bottom level, the spark of the PLFP has not been extinguished. Most astutely it refutes the two-state solution and advocates a democratic state , covering 3 aspects of the subject.

Quoting a leader of the PFLP “Recent developments turned the Palestinian cause, the struggle of the Palestinian people, and Arab and international solidarity into mere differences between the two prominent Palestinian right-wing factions. Fatah and Hamas movements and reconciliation between them. It put all the left factions and other forces on the sidelines of the national and militant struggle. This is the most prominent real crisis experienced by the Palestinian left with all its forces, including of course the Popular Front. These Palestinian factions bear a great responsibility from the beginning of their participation in the political game with the right, and their entry into its canned and suspicious tent, the stakes and columns, and opened on the left a confusing situation in which it lost its basic positions and method of work, and the main point in its internal dealings. “

He asserted that many falsely claim that the only way forward is the so-called “two-state solution”, which would result in part of Palestine remaining occupied and colonized by the Zionists. The PFLP is well-known to support one single Palestinian state where all can live with dignity, where apartheid against Palestinians ends, the fascistic Zionist entity is abolished and those forced out of their homes by the Zionist colonizers can return He explained why “two-state solution” will not work and why the aim of the PFLP was more productive. “ Based on an objective, analytical vision of history and reality, and an attempt to trace the future with a scientific horizon, away from the surface, right or left… what is required is to put a hand on the wound and the essence of the conflict… which was not and will not be by our will. Therefore, let the Palestinian, Arab and international political movement’s remain based on the two-state solution, as an objectionable solution aimed at preventing the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, and let it remain armed with the resolutions of international legitimacy, which guaranteed the refugees of our people their right to return, and which does not recognize Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories in 1967.”

“The democratic state is in complete divergence to the  strategic goal that the Zionist entity seeks of  establishment of a Jewish state, devoid of Arabs, contradicts a Zionist strategic line, , all the basic laws that the Zionist entity enacted in place of a constitution and  the biblical roots of the “Israeli” behaviour.’
