Dr.K.S. Sharma’s 90th Birthday is being organized jointly by Dr.K.S. Sharma 90th Birthday Committee, Sanjeevini Ayurvedic Medical College and Sharma Educational Institutions on 30th September 2023 at 11-30 a.m. at the Gokul Road, Vishwashrama Chetana Complex, Hubli.
Dr.K.S. Sharma has a multi-faceted personality. He is the Soviet Land Nehru Prize Awardee, the liberator of Govt. Daily Wage Employees, an educationist, a Litterateur, a Journalist, A Dramatist and the like. Dr. Sharma’s educational qualifications are amazing. He had his Degree in Science from Mysore University and a Degree and Post Graduation in Law, a Post Graduation in Political Science and Sociology and a Diploma in Public Administration from Karnataka University, apart from a Post Graduation in English Literature from Utkal University of Bhubaneshwar. His career which commenced as a Lecturer in JSS Arts and Science College, culminated with his retiring as Principal of J.S.S. Sakri Law College, Hubli. He was also Director of Institute of Public Administration under the JSS Management.
In the field of Trade Unions, the Karnataka State Govt. Daily Wage Employees Federation Dr.K.S. Sharma founded succeeded in getting more than 66,000 Govt. Daily Wage Employee of Karnataka as Permanent Employees in view of the historic Judgment of the Supreme Court, in “Dharwad Daily Wage Case” the Judgment of which was delivered by Justice Ranganath Mishra. This Judgment resulted in more than Twenty Lakh Daily Wage Employees of various State Governments and the Central Govt. being regularized.
Apart from this, Dr. Sharma’s literary works span over thirty Volumes and he got the Soviet Land Nehru Award for his work Marx-Marxism and Lenin-Gandhi. He is also a Journalist and has been contributing for News Papers for the last Thirty years.
Dr.Sharma’s 90th Birthday is being celebrated very significantly on 30th September 2023 and State Cabinet Ministers Sriyuts H.K. Patil (Law Minister) and Ramalinga Reddy (Transport Minister), Former Justice of the Supreme Court of India Justice Sri V. Gopala Gouda, Former Minister and Member Legislative Council Sri H. Vishvanath and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, Sri Mohan Katarki are invited as Chief Guests, Sriyuts Mallikarjun Siddannavar and Prof. K.S. Koujalgi will be speaking on the various achievements of Dr.K.S. Sharma. On this occasion Nine Volumes of Column Writings authored by Dr. K.S. Sharma are being published. Dr.K.S. Sharma presides over the Celebrations.

Dr KS Sharma (born 1934), a Retired Professor of Law, and a doctorate in political science is based in Hubli, Karnataka. He is the Founder of Indian Institute of Marxist Theory and Practice, and has been a leader of working class for over 45 years now, focused on unorganized labor, and as Founder-President of Karnataka State Govt. Dailywage Employees Federation, successfully organized one lakh dailywagers of Govt of Karnataka who got regularized after 30 years of struggle that included street battles and legal battles going upto Supreme Court. He is a great teacher in many subjects, a prolific writer, poet, dramatist, literary critic, columnist, publisher, orator, and an activist-social scientist who was President of ISSA , Indian Social Science Academy. He was a Soviet Land Awardee for Literature, and given titles like Karnataka Sri , Kannada Sri. He is the Founder President of a group of Institutions including Institute of Naturopathy and Yoga (founded 20 years ago) , FMRRC- Fluorosis Mitigation Research and Resource Centre, Chairman of an Ayurvedic Hospital cum college, Dr. Da Ra Bendre (Jnana Peeth Awardee) Research Institute ( which edited and published about 150 books by Bendre), an ITI, all located in Vishwa Shrama Chetana campus, Hubli, Karnataka.
