Memorialize USA Lies About Each Mistaken Undeclared War Americans Remembered Today Gave Their Lives

memorial day

‘Decoration Day,’ a day to decorate the graves of soldiers, who died fighting on either side of the American Civil War is the origin of today’s (changed name) ‘Memorial Day.’ Because  America’s subsequent wars have been in other people’s countries, the compassionate idea of a day dedicated to the families and friends decorating the graves in remembrance of loved ones, who were  soldiers of either side in a past war, is lost, since one side’s soldiers were not Americans.

So, for instance, loving commemoration of the death of fifty-eight thousand American soldiers during the American war in Vietnam, is not accompanied by commiseration for Vietnamese family and friends remembering their more than a million Vietnamese soldiers who perished in America’s war in their country,

Worse, the CIA controlled monopoly entertainment and news conglomerates have long turned USA’s Memorial Day into a day for parades hailing all America’s invasions and wars as having been worth killing and dying for…

even though

the dozens of countries invaded after the Second World War in which Americans soldiers gave their lives were and much weaker former colonies of the Colonial Powers seeking  independence.

Even though…

years after America’s Vietnam war, Robert MacNamara, the US Sec. of Defense, who ran the war confessed, ”We were wrong, terribly wrong. We owe it to future generations to explain why.”

(5 million people dead, in a US led thirty-year genocidal failure to prevent an independent  Vietnamese government replacing the French Colonial or US undemocratically imposed government – a Communist government in a Vietnam that has now long been a peaceful and profitable trading partner for United States’ corporations). How can something “terribly wrong” have been worth killing and dying for?

President Biden has long admitted that his vote and push for the 2003 Invasion of Iraq, when he was Senator Biden, Chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, was a mistake. It was a mistake, and I acknowledge that.” As of July 19, 2021, according to the U.S. Department of Defense casualty website, there were 4,431 total deaths of American servicemen, but more than one million Iraqis have died as a result of the conflict in their country since the U.S.led invasion in 2003 – (Reuters,1/30/2008). How can participating in a ‘mistake’ that brought death to a million people in their very own country have been a patriotic service to own’s own USA worth dying for?

– Regarding America’s Longest War As Having Been Worth Dying In During the Twenty Years Following 9/11 (A War Propagated as ‘America’s War on Terror.’)

During USA’s Memorial Day, the Americans who died in America’s longest war are solemnly remembered by their families and friends. The United States war in Afghanistan was the most protracted war in history—longer than World War I and World War II, Many American Afghan war veterans have committed suicide as a result of psychological problems developed during their service.

The US didn’t send many troops at first. It sent a limited number of mostly special forces, CIA operatives, and it was mostly an air war. On Memorial Day American’s remember the 2,402 United States military deaths in the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021). In addition, 18 Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operatives also died in Afghanistan.

The U.S. had the stated aim of defeating Al-Qaeda, but former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has admitted on YouTube that the CIA had created al Qaida! “Yes, We made al Qaida. We made al Qaida to fight the Russians.” (In 1979, he Russians had come to the aid of what had been a popular Socialist women liberating government in Kabul, under attack by US President Carter ordered CIA funding, arming and training of Afghan fundamentalist terrorists of mostly non-Pashtun mountain warlords virulently against the education of their women.)

So for 20 years, 2,402 Americans, along with a military coalition of every single nation of Caucasian (white) population on Earth, brought death and destruction to Afghanistan, installing a drug lords government and punishing its people for harboring an al Qaeda which the US itself had created – the CIA even having paid al Qaida founder Osama bin Ladin, after inviting him into Afghanistan along with Wahhabi sect terrorists from around the world.[x]

As of September 2021, more than 70,000 Afghan and Pakistani civilians are estimated to have died as a direct result of the war.

The CIA had armed and funded Afghan militia groups who have been implicated in grave human rights abuses and killings of civilians.

Afghan land is contaminated with unexploded ordnance, which kills and injures tens of thousands of Afghans, especially children, as they travel and go about their daily chores.

The war has exacerbated the effects of poverty, malnutrition, poor sanitation, lack of access to health care, and environmental degradation of Afghans’ health.

All the above doesn’t sound like things one would be worth dying for, so mainstream media has convinced most Americans that fighting the Taliban was a fine thing to die for.

But the Taliban was not the group that had attacked the United States and the Taliban (‘students’ in the Dali Afghan language) was movement born to rescue Afghan society from the horrific rape and destruction of the civil war between US armed warlords following the withdrawal of Soviet military that had protected the Kabul socialist government.

The Taliban had already been the recognized Government of Afghanistan for 4 years when the US Armed Forces invaded after 9/11, and continued to govern the half of Afghanistan outside the cities and coalition military bases during the entire 20 years of the US led occupation war.

When the Americans pulled out in 2021, the Taliban immediately again became the government  of all Afghanistan.

How shall the loving families and friends of Americans that died in Afghanistan feel knowing that their sons gave their precious lives for no other purpose than bringing senseless death, injury, destruction and suffering to ten of thousands of innocent people in their very own beloved country which had never attacked any nation?

Love for one’s deceased friend or family member can only become stronger with learning the truth of how he or she was taken advantage of by investors in war. Uncovering the media and politicians’ lies about each mistaken and undeclared past American war can prevent future gullibility about giving one’s life to attacking other countries.

Jay Janson  spent eight years as Assistant Conductor of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra in Hanoi and also toured, including with Dan Tai-son, who practiced in a Hanoi bomb shelter. The orchestra was founded by Ho Chi Minh, and it plays most of its concerts in the Opera House, a diminutive copy of the Paris Opera. In 1945, our ally Ho, from a balcony overlooking the large square and flanked by an American Major and a British Colonel, declared Vietnam independent. Everyone in the orchestra lost family, “killed by the Americans” they would mention simply, with Buddhist unaccusing acceptance. Jay can be reached at:  [email protected]
