Thiruvananthapuram: In a joint statement prominent individuals from sociopolitical , cultural and religious spheres of Kerala called on those adorning constitutional positions to stay away from the groundbreaking ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya . The occasion should not be misused for narrow political gains.

Prime Minister of India, a secular country, Governor and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh should not be taking part in this event. Protest against their participation is strengthening around the country. As is their won’t , Sangh Parivar has planned this ceremony to further their communal agenda and to make political gains in the coming State elections. By being part of Sangh Parivar’s nefarious scheme , those holding constitutional positions are negating the constitution itself . This is also happening at a time when country is facing many serious challenges including the Pandemic.

The Supreme Court’s verdict in the Babri Masjid case negates its own findings and historical facts .The people of this country accepted the judgement even though they strongly disagreed with the same. The joint statement further added that what the Prime Minister and the Sangh Parivar are doing is an affront to the peace-loving people of the country.
