HE STANDS on the ROCK

sufi

He stands on the Rock

the beautiful rock

beside the flourishing

Tree of Life.

He stands on the Rock

on the beautiful rock

beside the flowing

river of light.

He raises his arms

like wings of lightning

two beacon-flames

of luminous fire.

His voice goes out

with the strength

of a ringing bell

with softness of a rose

the sweetness of a love song.

From advent of the event

to the present moment

the course of time

is turning around.

Faith no longer

turns to Heaven

prayers no longer

leave the Earth.

From advent of the event

to this very moment

the Great Work keeps starting up

the Great Miracle keeps coming true.

Heaven comes down

Heaven comes home

to the Banquet of Life:

on the Living Earth.

He stands on the Rock

the beautiful rock

beside the flowering

Tree of Life.
