The desperate and heroic Occupied Palestinian breakout from the bombed and blockaded Gaza Concentration Camp has been associated with the deaths of over 1,500 Palestinian fighters and over 1,300 Israelis, mostly civilians. Serial war criminal and genocidal Apartheid Israel has responded with collective punishment of the 2.3 million barely subsisting Gazans by cutting food, water and, massive bombing rendering 250,000 homeless and so far killing about 1,300 Palestinians in Gaza.
In addition to the deaths of 1,500 Palestinian fighters in Israel after the breakout on 7 October, the death toll by Day 5 (11 October) of this latest Gaza Massacre by genocidal Apartheid Israel has been reported thus by Egyptian Streets: “The escalation between Israel and Palestine, dubbed as a war with Hamas by the Israel Defense Forces [IDF], has entered its fifth day since Hamas’s surprise attack on 7 October. Death tolls on each side continue to rise as the Israeli siege on Gaza escalates, and as Israel hints at a potential ground invasion…Conflict between the two sides is still on the rise, as the death toll reaches 1,078 Palestinian deaths and over 1,200 Israeli deaths. An additional 5,200 Palestinians and 3,000 Israelis are injured… Egyptian trucks on their way to provide food and medical aid to Palestinians trapped in Gaza were forced to turn back after airstrikes damaged roads connecting the Rafah crossing” [1].
Palestinian deaths from violence and deprivation are set to rise enormously as the war criminal Israelis have cut food, water, fuel and medicine to Gaza, stopped electrical power, are systematically destroying Gaza rendering over 250,000 homeless [2], and have foreshadowed total ethnic cleansing of densely populated Gaza with the war criminal IDF echoing serial war criminal Israeli PM Netanyahu in repeatedly telling Palestinian civilians to leave [3-7] – yet the only possible exit is via the Egyptian border that has been closed by Israeli bombing [1]. Australian SBS News has reported: “The United Nations said more than 250,000 Gazans had been made homeless, many huddling on streets or in schools. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Israeli strikes had since Saturday destroyed more than 22,600 residential units and 10 health facilities and damaged 48 schools” [2].
By way of summary, on 11 October (Day 5 of the latest Gaza Massacre) I sent the following Letter to 7 major Australian newspapers about the latest Israeli Gaza Massacre: “Peace is the only way, nobody should be killed, all human life is sacred, and terrorism is as terrorism does whether it is the hugely disproportionate violence of Israeli state terrorism over 75 years or the awful non-state terrorism this week by despairing inmates of the blockaded Gaza Concentration Camp. On Day 5 of the latest violent episode the Occupied/Occupier death ratio within Israel is 1,500 Palestinian fighters killed / 1,000 Israeli deaths = 1.5, and the Occupied/Occupier death ratio overall is presently (700 + 1,500) / 1,000 = 2.2. However worse is threatened: the 2008-31 August 2023 Occupied / Occupier death ratio was 6,407/307 = 20.9, over 2 times greater than the ratio of 10 ordered by Hitler for reprisals against indigenous Partisans in 1944. Occupied Palestinians have been brutally confined to Gaza without human rights and in dire poverty for 56 years. Of 2.2 million Gazans 70% are women and children. The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) is destroying Gaza, denying besieged Gazans foodand water (an immense war crime), and adumbrating genocide by repeatedly telling Gaza civilians to leave with the presently closed Egyptian border the only conceivable exit” . It was not published as far as I know in Zionist-subverted, pro-Apartheid, US lackey and “look-the-other-way” Australiabut has been reproduced on the website “Censorship by The Age Melbourne – what a “quality” Mainstream newspaper does not want you to know” [8].
Set out succinctly below are some key matters relating to the ongoing and latest Gaza Massacre.
(1). Ongoing Palestinian Genocide: genocidally racist, neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel openly intends a mass murder-driven mass expulsion of 2.3 million Occupied Palestinians from Gaza.
The ongoing Palestinian Genocide has been associated with 0.1 million violent Palestinian deaths and about 2 million Palestinian avoidable deaths from imposed deprivation since the genocidally racist British invaded the Middle East in 1914 for oil and imperial hegemony. The Palestinian Genocide has been punctuated by some major horrendous events: (a) In the 1930s Arab revolt in British-ruled Palestine the British and British-armed and British-trained Zionist terrorists killed 10% of the adult male Palestinian population. (b) In the 1948 Nakba (Catastrophe) the genocidally racist Zionist minority expelled 800,000 Indigenous Palestinians (57% of the Palestinian population) and seized 78% of Palestine, this being associated with 76 massacres, 15,000 Palestinian deaths, the ethnic cleansing of 530 Palestinian villages, and the eventual destruction of 120 mosques. (c). In the 1967 Naksa (Setback) the serial war criminal Apartheid Israel seized all of Palestine plus parts of all its neighbours and expelled a further 400,000 Arabs. (d) Through home and village demolitions, military zoning, and massive illegal and Jews-only Zionist settlement of the Occupied West Bank about 90% of Palestine has been ethnically cleansed of Indigenous Palestinians [9-12].
Now the 5.6 million Occupied Palestinians and 2.0 million Israeli Palestinians face the acute threat of mass expulsion in the present context of massive and fervent Western support for Apartheid Israel in response to the present violent episode. Leading Israelis are presently openly telling the 2.3 million Palestinians of Gaza to leave this tiny residual patch of Palestine in the face of destruction of Gaza and in what would be a third massive Palestinian population expulsion: (a) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the 2.3 million Gaza Palestinians: “Get out now because we will operate everywhere” [4]. (b). Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Hecht (chief IDF spokesperson to the foreign media) to the 2.3 million Gaza Palestinians:“Anyone who can get out, I would advise them to get out” [3, 6]. (c). Avichay Adraee (an IDF military spokesperson) to the 2.3 million Gaza Palestinians: “For your safety, immediately evacuate the areas where you live” [5].
The Israelis are openly stating their intention to forcibly expel 2.3 million Palestinians from Gaza [3-7]. The genocidally racist Zionists want all the land of Palestine but not its Indigenous Palestinian inhabitants. Indeed over the last 140 years Zionist leaders from Zionist founder, genocidally racist psychopath Theodor Herzl, to the present Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, have been appallingly explicit in stating this genocidal intention. Thus, for example Theodor Herzl (1895): “We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it employment in our country. The property owners will come over to our side. Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discretely and circumspectly”; and Benjamin Netanyahu (1989): “Israel should have exploited the repression of the demonstrations in China, when world attention focused on that country, to carry out mass expulsions among the Arabs of the territories” [7]. The neo-Nazi, anti-Arab anti-Semitic, fervently pro-Apartheid Israel and hence pro-Apartheid West has responded in the present crisis with rabid anti-Palestinian terror hysteria and support for murderous Israeli collective punishment of Gaza.
Yoav Gallant (Israeli Defense Minister) (8 October 2023):“I ordered a full siege on the Gaza Strip. No power, no food, no gas, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly” [7, 13]. Coordination of Government Activities in the [Occupied] Territories (COGAT) head Major General Ghassan Alian (9 October 2023): “Human animals must be treated as such. There will be no electricity and no water [in Gaza], there will only be destruction. You wanted hell, you will get hell” [7, 14]. Rabid anti-Arab anti-Semitic racist Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security Minister) announced plans to arm Jewish “civilian security teams” in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and other Palestinian areas [7, 14]. Deadly violence is now also happing in the West Bank Occupied Territories.
It is important to note here that “genocide” is defined by Article 2 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide: “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with
intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group” [15]. Article 3 states: “The following acts shall be punishable: (a) Genocide; (b) Conspiracy to commit genocide; (c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide; (d) Attempt to commit genocide; (e) Complicity in genocide” [15]. Apartheid Israel has been engaged in genocide for 75 years and its fervent Anglosphere and EU supporters are complicit in the ongoing Palestinian Genocide.
(2). Apartheid Israel’s Occupied/Occupier death ratios exceed 2-fold to 4.5-fold the death ratio of 10 ordered by Hitler for reprisals against indigenous Partisans in 1944.
In March 1944 Nazi German leader and mass murderer Adolph Hitler responded to the killing of 33 German soldiers by Italian Partisans by ordering the execution of 10 Occupied men for every German soldier killed by indigenous Partisans i.e. an Occupied/Occupier death ratio of 10. Hitler’s order was promptly executed by Nazi German troops in the Ardeatine Caves Massacre in Italy – 335 Italians shot in reprisal for the immediately prior deaths of 33 Nazi German soldiers (a death ratio of about 10 as ordered by Hitler) [16] (also see Article #5 in [17]). The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) provides detailed statistics on violent Palestinian and Israeli deaths in violent conflict episodes in the 21st century [18].
Apartheid Israel has conducted a succession of Gaza Massacres in the 21st century and the Palestinian/Israeli death ratios in the Occupied Palestinian Territories have been as follows for the notable periods indicated:
2008/2009: 1,965/44 = 44.7.
2014: 2,329/68 = 34.3.
2018: 300/13 = 23.1.
2021: 349/11 = 31.7.
The average for 1 January 2008 – 19 September 2023: 6,407/308 = 20.8.
In the current episode of violence Israeli deaths total about 1,300 as of Day 7 [19] and so adopting the average death ratio of 20.8 predicts 1,300 Israeli deaths x (20.8 Palestinian deaths/ 1 Israeli death) = 27,040 or about 27,000 Palestinian deaths. At the time of writing (Day 7) Palestinian deaths total 1,500 in Gaza plus 1,500 deaths of Palestinian fighters in Israel. Further, presently on the 7th day of bombing about 300,000 out of 2.3 million Gaza Palestinians have been rendered homeless [20] but the situation is set to worsen as adjudged from horrendous Apartheid Israeli rhetoric (see Section #1 above). The war criminal Apartheid Israeli ban on food, water, fuel, electricity and medical provisions for the besieged Gaza Concentration Camp means that avoidable deaths from deprivation (already about 4,000 per year for the Occupied Palestinian Territories [21]) will increase hugely. The deadly Apartheid Israeli bans represent war criminal collective punishment and are in gross violation of Articles 55 and 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention (the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War) that unequivocally state that an Occupier is obliged to supply life-sustaining food and medical provisions to its conquered Subjects “to the fullest extent of the means available to it” [22].
(3). Hostages: There are presently 150 Israeli hostages in the Gaza Concentration Camp versus 5.6 million Occupied Palestinians highly abusively held hostage by neo-Nazi and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel.
The latest BBC News reports 150 Israelis held hostage in the Gaza Concentration Camp after the breakout by Palestinian fighters on 7 October [19]. However the neo-Nazi, racist, anti-Arab anti-Semitic and pro-Apartheid West resolutely ignores the Occupied Palestinians held hostage by neo-Nazi and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel for 56 years and who now total 5.6 million. The severely impoverished Occupied Palestinians continue to be highly abusively confined under brutal military rule to ever-dwindling West Bank ghettoes (3.3 million) and to the bombed and blockaded Gaza Concentration Camp (2.3 million) without any of the human rights specified by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [17]. The annual per capita GDP is a deadly $3,500 for the Occupied Palestinian Territories versus $55,500 for Apartheid Israel, and Occupied Palestinians cannot vote for the government ruling them (i.e. they are subject to egregious Apartheid worse than that in Apartheid South Africa). However of all of the nearly 15 million mostly impoverished Indigenous Palestinians, the 2 million Israeli Palestinians are “held hostage” by their circumstances (they can vote for the government ruling them but are subject to 60 Nazi-style, race-based discriminatory laws) as are some 7 million Exiled Palestinians (they are violently excluded from the land continuously inhabited by their forebears for millennia to the very dawn of the Agrarian Revolution in the Fertile Crescent) [10, 11].
At the core of a century-long and continuing Palestinian Genocide perpetrated by the genocidally racist Zionist settler-colonialists is that the Zionists want the land of Palestine but without the Indigenous Palestinians. Zionism is genocidal racism and Nazism without gas chambers but with 90 nuclear weapons [23], a world-leading, high technology arms, population subjugation and surveillance industry [24, 25], and an air, land and sea military that is among world-leading militaries for size and technical sophistication [26]. Indeed there is a detailed and documented compilation of 52 Zionist- and Apartheid Israeli-Nazi Germany comparisons [27]. Just as the Nazi German ideology was based on false and genetically absurd notions of “Aryan racial purity” so too the genocidally racist Zionists have falsely asserted their “God-given” ownership of Palestine. One must endlessly reiterate what the Zionist-subverted Western Mainstream ignores, that while Palestinians and Arabs are ethnically Semitic, the dominant European Ashkenazi Jews (such as myself) are not Semitic and derive from non-Semitic Turkic Khazar converts to Judaism in about the 8th – 9th centuries CE. The genetic descendants in geographical Palestine today of the Jewish and non-Jewish inhabitants of Roman-ruled Palestine are in fact the sorely oppressed Indigenous Palestinians – the now minority Jewish Israeli Subjects of Apartheid Israel descend from Yemeni, Berber and Khazar converts to Judaism in the first millennium CE [28-35].
Further, as stated by outstanding anti-racist Jewish American scholar Professor Bertell Ollman (NYU): “For obvious reasons, the Zionists are very sensitive about being compared to the Nazis (not so sensitive that it has restrained them in their actions but enough to bellow “unfair” and to charge “anti-Semitism” when it happens). Yet, the facts on the ground, when not obscured by one or another Zionist rationalization, show that the Zionists are the worst anti-Semites in the world today, oppressing a Semitic people as no nation has done since the Nazis” [36]. In 1938 the revered Gandhi stated: “Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs. What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct” [37]. Similarly, the revered Nobel Laureate Nelson Mandela has authoritatively stated (1997): “The UN took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system. But we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians” [37].
(4). Those who support neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel are supporting the evil crime of Apartheid and are utterly unfit for public life and the company of decent people.
The neo-Nazi, racist, anti-Arab anti-Semitic and mendacious West fervently supports Apartheid Israel and hence the vile crime of Apartheid that is condemned by the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid [38]. The numerous Western Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes who support Apartheid Israel and hence the evil crime of Apartheid are utterly unfit for public life, and especially so in one-person-one-vote democracies.
A major set of countries that support Apartheid Israel and hence neo-Nazi Apartheid comprises countries that refuse to recognize a State of Palestine. The 55 pro-Apartheid countries in this category overwhelmingly include the colonization- and genocide-based European Anglosphere countries (the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand), nearly all of the Western European NATO members and EU members, Apartheid Israel, and 12 morally compromised and mostly non-European countries who don’t want to offend neo-Nazi, Zionist-subverted and pro-Apartheid America (notably Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Switzerland). Of the 138 decent countries that recognize the State of Palestine, 123 are non-European and of the 15 European members all are in Eastern Europe except for 3 (Cyprus, Malta and Sweden) [39].
The set of European countries that refuse to recognize a State of Palestine hugely overlaps with the 35-member, all-European International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) that is racist, largely nuclear terrorism-complicit, anti-Jewish anti-Semitic, anti-Arab anti-Semitic, holocaust-ignoring, holocaust-denying, genocide-ignoring, genocide-denying, fervently pro-Apartheid Israel and hence pro-Apartheid. The pro-Apartheid Israel IHRA has been used to falsely defame anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish critics of Apartheid Israel, a notable victim being former UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the most anti-racist UK Labour leader ever. The IHRA has been condemned by over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations. The IHRA is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim critics of Israeli Apartheid as “anti-Semitic”), and holocaust-ignoring and genocide-ignoring (by ignoring some 70 genocides and holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million deaths from violence and deprivation), notably the following WW2 holocausts (deaths from violence and deprivation in brackets): the WW2 Polish Holocaust (6 million), WW2 European Holocaust (30 million), WW2 Soviet Holocaust (27 million), WW2 Chinese Holocaust (35-40 million) and the WW2 Bengali Holocaust (WW2 Indian Holocaust, WW2 Bengal Famine; 6-7 million Indian deliberately starved to death for strategic reasons in Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha by anti-Palestinian, anti-Indigenous Australian, racist, imperialist, anti-Indigenous American, and fervently pro- Zionist Winston Churchill with food-denying Australian complicity) [11, 21, 40-43].
Of the 35 members of the IHRA: (1) all are European; (2) the 5 located outside Europe (Argentina, Australia, ,Canada, Apartheid Israel, and the US) were all created based on genocide of the Indigenous People; (3) 9 members were part of the genocidal WW2 Nazi Germany Alliance; (4) 4 (the US, UK, France and Apartheid Israel) are nuclear terrorist states; (5) 28 belong to the 30-member nuclear-armed NATO that accepts mass incineration of billions of men, women and children as an acceptable military strategy; (6) 14 were notably involved in the brutal conquest and genocide of Indigenous non-European people over 5 centuries; (7) only 2 (Austria and Ireland) have had the moral decency to sign and ratify the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW); and (8) all but 3 shockingly voted No to the annual UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution in 2022 that condemned Nazism, neo-Nazism and related racist obscenities [11, 21, 40-43].
(5). Is this Israel’s 9-11? Was the massive intelligence failure by the top intelligence nations, the US and Apartheid Israel, actually deliberate failure to enable an atrocity to “excuse” more Palestinian Genocide?
Numerous expert pro-Israel commentators have expressed amazement that the 2 of the top intelligence nations, the US and Apartheid Israel, had permitted the Gaza breakout to occur. Numerous people, notably surviving victims, have expressed amazement at the tardiness of the Israeli armed response. Likewise former US president Donald Trump and former US vice-president Al Gore have trenchantly condemned the massive US intelligence failure prior to the 9/11 atrocity and failure to respond on 9/11. Numerous science, engineering, architecture, demolition,. aviation, politics and intelligence experts have rejected the “lying Bush official US version of 9/11” and have provided a mountain of evidence indicating the involvement of the US Government in the 9/11 atrocity (e.g. the finding by expert chemists and physicists of unexploded nanothermite explosive in the World Trade Center dust, and expert engineers concluding that World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC7) collapsed due to simultaneous destruction of all support elements (i.e. perfect explosive demolition) [44]. Indeed some expert analysts have suggested Israeli involvement in the 9/11atrocity, especially given involvement of Apartheid Israel in dirty tricks, espionage, subversion, coups, civil wars and genocide around the world [44, 45].
Whoever the actual perpetrators were the horrible reality is that 32 million Muslims died from violence, 5 million, and imposed deprivation, 27million, in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance in the US Government’s false flag-driven “War on Terror” after the 9/11 atrocity that killed 3,000 innocent people, mostly Americans [46]. As set out in Section #2 above, on the basis of consistently huge and disproportionate Israeli violence this century and genocidal Israeli racism, the present Israeli response could ultimately involve 27,000 Palestinian deaths, 100,000 Palestinians injured, complete demolition of Gaza (one of the world’s oldest cities and presently home to 2.3 million Palestinians), and a huge number of avoidable Palestinian deaths from deprivation totalling of the order of 100,000. This would be mass murder and a massive contribution to the century-long Palestinian Genocide. Based on the ferocity of the present Israeli reaction, the likely and foreshadowed demolition of all of Gaza, and 140 years of expressly genocidal Zionist rhetoric, it is conceivable that the US-, Anglosphere-, and Europe-backed Israeli Government will seize this opportunity to completely ethnically cleanse the Palestinian populations of (a) Gaza (2.3 million people, (b) the West Bank including Jerusalem (3.3 million people) and (c) Israel proper (2.0 million), noting that despite a century-long Palestinian Genocide the Indigenous Palestinian population presently represents 51% of the Subjects of Apartheid Israel (the Jewish Israelis only 47%) [11]. Further Israeli invasion and devastation of Lebanon, Syria and Iran is presently being discussed in the Western media.
(6). Statement by the anti-racist Jewish American groups Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP).
The US-based and anti-racist Jewish group Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP) has issued the following statement [47]:
“The Israeli government has declared a genocidal war on the people of Gaza. As an organization that works for a future where Palestinians and Israelis and all people live in equality and freedom, we call on all people of conscience to stop imminent genocide of Palestinians.
Jewish Voice for Peace mourns deeply for the over 1,200 Israelis killed, the families destroyed, including many of our own, and fears for the lives of Israelis taken hostage. Many are still counting the dead, looking for missing loved ones, devastated by the losses. We wholeheartedly agree with leading Palestinian rights groups: the massacres committed by Hamas against Israeli civilians are horrific war crimes. There is no justification in international law for the indiscriminate killing of civilians or the holding of civilian hostages. And now, horrifyingly, the Israeli and American governments are weaponizing these deaths to fuel a genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, pledging to “open the gates of hell.” This war is a continuation of the Nakba, when in 1948, tens of thousands of Palestinians fleeing violence sought refuge in Gaza. It’s a continuation of 75 years of Israeli occupation and apartheid.
Already this week, over 1,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed. The Israeli government has wrought complete and total devastation on Palestinians across Gaza, attacking hospitals, schools, mosques, marketplaces, and apartment buildings. As we write, the Israeli government has shut off all electricity to Gaza. Hospitals cannot save lives, the internet will collapse, people will have no phones to communicate with the outside world, and drinking water for two million people will run out. Gaza will be plunged into darkness as Israel turns its neighborhoods to rubble. Still worse, Israel has openly stated an intention to commit mass atrocities and even genocide, with Prime Minister Netanyahu saying the Israeli response will “reverberate for generations.”
And right now, the U.S. government is enabling the Israeli government’s atrocities, sending weapons, moving U.S. warships into proximity and sending U.S.-made munitions, and pledging blanket support and international cover for any actions taken by the Israeli government. Furthermore, the U.S. government officials are spreading racist, hateful, and incendiary rhetoric that will fuel mass atrocities and genocide. The loss of Israeli lives is being used by our government to justify the rush to genocide, to provide moral cover for the immoral push for more weapons and more death. Palestinians are being dehumanized by our own government, by the media, by far too many U.S. Jewish institutions. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that Israel is “fighting human animals” and should “act accordingly,” As Jews, we know what happens when people are called animals.
We can and we must stop this. Never again means never again — for anyone. We call on all people of conscience to stop the imminent genocide of Palestinians. We demand our government work towards de-escalation, that it immediately stop sending weapons to the Israeli military. A future of peace and safety for all, grounded in justice, freedom and equality for all, is still the only option.”
(7). Final comments.
Decent people around the world must act to stop this imminent further massive genocide being perpetrated on the long-suffering Palestinian people.
