Under Labor (presently in government) or the Coalition (presently in opposition) Zionist-subverted, Zionist-perverted and US lackey Australia is second only to America as a fervent supporter of racist and mendacious Apartheid Israel. Only the Greens MPs and several Independent MPs have opposed Apartheid Israeli crimes. Now Labor Senator Fatima Payman has come out alone with the Greens to condemn the Gaza Genocide, human rights denial and the Occupation.
Labor Senator Fatima Payman showed great moral clarity and great moral courage to come out alone among her Labor colleagues to protest the Gaza Genocide, the Occupation and gross denial of Palestinian human rights. Fatima Payman is 27 and is the first Afghan-born and hijab-wearing female Muslim politician in the Federal Australian Parliament [1, 2].
As of 13 May 2024 (Day 220 since the Palestinian Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp on 7 October 2023, and considering some 8,000 buried under the rubble), Palestinians killed by genocidal Jewish Israelis in Gaza totalled 43,640 including 39,675 civilians, 15,971 children, and 10,382 women, with 81,560 injured [3]. In the face of this horrific and ongoing atrocity, as of mid-May 2024, after over 7 months of mass murder of Indigenous Palestinians in Gaza by genocidally racist and Nazi-style Jewish Israelis, the only Australian MPs to have voted in Federal Parliament for an immediate and permanent Ceasefire are 15 Greens, ex-Green Senator Lidia Thorpe, and Independents Dr Helen Haines and Andrew Wilkie – a mere 18 out of a total of 227 Federal MPs (76 Senators and 151 Members of the House of Representatives) [4, 5].
Labor Senator Fatima Payman’s courageously coming out, breaking ranks with her Labor colleagues and cogently condemning the ongoing, Jewish Israeli-imposed Gaza Genocide, Occupation and gross denial of Palestinian human rights. means that there are now 19 existing MPs that decent, anti-racist Australian voters can vote 1 for in future elections.
However the shocking reality that demands global condemnation and sanctions is that despite the Jewish Israeli killing of 16,000 children and the ongoing Gaza Genocide, 208 out of 227 members of the Australian Federal Parliament are effectively unmoved. Indeed the Australian Senate voted 56-12 on 16 May for a Coalition-introduced motion to condemn the “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” slogan, stating that this chant “opposes Israel’s right to exist, and is frequently used by those who seek to intimidate Jewish Australians via acts of antisemitism”. The 11 Greens Senators and ex-Green Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe voted against the motion. Senator Fatima Payman was not present [6, 7].
(1). Fatima Payman’s moral clarity and moral courage over the ongoing Gaza Genocide and Occupation.
Labor Senator Fatima Payman (a young, hijab-wearing, Muslim Afghan Australian) has commented thus on the horrific Jewish Israeli genocide in Gaza and Labor’s reprehensible “gas lighting” [1]:
“My conscience has been uneasy for far too long. And I must call this out for what it is. This is a genocide and we need to stop pretending otherwise.”
“I see our leaders performatively gesture, defending the oppressor’s right to oppress, while gaslighting the global community about the rights of self-defence of the armed jailers against the prisoners… of the dominators against the subjugated… of the well-fed against the starving.”
“We can no longer shy away from decency from having the moral clarity to stand up to face evil and declare ourselves in opposition to it. And the system that keeps feeding it until it’s so diseased with it, that we can no longer distinguish between the good and the bad.”
“I ask our Prime Minister and our fellow parliamentarians how many international rights laws must Israel break for us to say enough? What is the magic number? How many lives need to be lost before we say enough? What is the magic number? How many mass graves need to be uncovered before we say enough? How many images of bloody limbs of murdered children must we see?”
“I asked you to join me to continue to call for freedom from the occupation, freedom from the violence and freedom from the inequality. From the river to the sea. Palestine will be free” [1, 2].
(2). Support for Senator Fatima Payman from decent anti-racist Jewish, non-Jewish and Muslim Australians.
It is early days yet and the “news” in Australia is dominated by hugely wealthy, pro-Zionist, and anti-Arab anti-Semitic media bosses via Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes. However some early support for Senator Fatima Payman has emerged already:
(i). The anti-racist Jewish Council of Australia praised Senator Payman thus: “The Jewish Council of Australia sends Fatima Payman a big mazel tov [congratulations, good luck] for her courage in breaking with the party line and strongly speaking out against Israel’s genocide. It should not be controversial to use this terminology as it is in line with the finding of the International Court of Justice that Israel’s action’s constitute a plausible genocide” [1].
(ii). Dr Gideon Polya (anti-racist Jewish Australian scientist and writer) in a Letter rejected by numerous major Australian Mainstream media committed to Zionist racism and falsehood: “As of 23 April 2024 and including those dead under the rubble, Palestinians killed in the Gaza Genocide totalled 43,000 including 16,000 children and 10,000 women. As of mid-May 2024, after over 7 months of mass murder of Indigenous Palestinians in Gaza, the only Australian MPs to have voted in Federal Parliament for an immediate and permanent Ceasefire are 15 Greens, ex-Green Senator Lidia Thorpe, and Independents Dr Helen Haines and Andrew Wilkie – a mere 18 out of a total of 227 Federal MPs (76 Senators and 151 Members of the House of Representatives). Shame Australia, shame. Labor Senator Fatima Payman’s powerful humanitarian statements against the Jewish Israeli-imposed genocide in Gaza mean that there are now 19 MPs that decent, anti-racist Jewish and non-Jewish Australian voters can vote 1 for. The genocide-complicit, pro-Apartheid Israel and hence pro-Apartheid Labor-Coalition duopoly and its fellow travellers are utterly unfit for public life and public office in a one-person-one-vote and equal human rights democracy like Australia. Clean up Australia.”
(iii). Greens Senator Sarah Hansen-Young defended Senator Payman from Coalition abuse in the Senate as reported by The Guardian: “The word “terrorist” is overheard from the opposition benches and some suggest it was directed at Payman. Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young makes a point of order, accusing the opposition of “intimidation, bullying and harassment to a high order”: “There are rules in this place about treating people with respect about having a safe workplace and what I have just seen is intimidation, bullying and harassment to a high order. If you are going to come into this place and do it, you should be called out and thrown out”” [8].
(iv). A photo that says a thousand words: Muslim Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi consoles an isolated Labor Senator Fatima Payman during question time in the Senate [8].
(v). The 11 Greens Senators were the only Senators to vote against the Coalition-advanced motion condemning Senator Payman’s use of the term “From the river to the sea. Palestine will be free” [6, 7].
(3). Hostile reactions against Labor Senator Fatima Payman from genocide-ignoring Zionists and overwhelmingly pro-Zionist Australian Labor, Coalition and most Independent politicians.
(a). Zionists falsely and virulently described Senator Payman’s comment “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” as “Arab supremacist”, “calling for the destruction of Israel and the ethnic cleansing of its Jewish population”,“antisemitic”, “stoking hatred”, “vile”, and “racist” [1].
Comment: The core problem is that the genocidally racist and egregiously mendacious Jewish Israelis running Apartheid Israel want the Land of Palestine (plus land of its neighbours) but not the Indigenous Palestinian inhabitants. The demographics of Palestine: 7.0 million Jews, 2.1 million Israeli Palestinians, 0.4 million non-Jews and non-Arabs and 5.6 million Occupied Palestinians. Since 51% of Israel’s Subjects are Indigenous Palestinians (Jewish Israelis 47%) the Jewish Israelis ensured that the Occupied Palestinians (73% of the Indigenous Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel) are deprived of all human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [9-13] and are excluded from voting for the government ruling them i.e. they are subject to egregious Apartheid. The “lucky” Israeli Palestinians can vote for the government ruling them albeit as Third Class citizens subject to 65 Nazi-style, race-based, discriminatory laws [13-15]. (Never to be forgotten are about 7 million Exiled Palestinians excluded from return to the land continuously inhabited by their forebears for millennia back to the Agrarian Revolution in the Fertile Crescent) [13]. Zionist, Labor, Coalition and like-minded rejection of “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” means Nazi-style rejection of Palestinian human rights.
(b). The fervently pro-Zionist Australian PM Anthony Albanese in a patronizing, partisan, offensive and genocide-ignoring response: “She’s a young senator from Western Australia. But, we speak for the government’s policy and the government’s policy has been very clear from our opposition, unequivocal to the terrorist activity of Hamas on October 7, our call for the release of hostages, our call for humanitarian ceasefire, our call for humanitarian aid to be delivered to the people of Gaza, our opposition to any ground offensive in Rafa” [1]. Albanese further ignorantly, stupidly, offensively, and perversely declared that Senator Payman saying “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” was “not appropriate”, stating: “What’s appropriate is a two-state solution, a two-state solution where both Israelis and Palestinians have the right to live in security in peace and in prosperity. It is not in the interests of either Israelis or Palestinians to advocate they just be one state that is a forerunner of enormous conflict and grief” [1].
Comments:
(i). “Young senator” is patronizing rubbish. Albanese has falsely claimed that Israel is not an Apartheid state but a recent US survey showed that 25% of US Jews surveyed agreed that Israel was an Apartheid state and that 38% of under-40 year old US Jews agreed with the proposition [16].
(ii). Terrorism is as terrorism does – Israeli state terrorism is vastly more deadly that Palestinian resistance. As of Day 220 of the present Gaza Massacre, and including those dead and buried under rubble, Jewish Israeli state terrorists have so far killed 43,640 Palestinians in Gaza, including 39,675 civilians, 15,971 children and 10,382 women, with 81,560 injured [3]. In contrast, in the Hamas Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp on 7 October fewer than 1,200 Israelis were killed. Indeed while the Palestinians had light arms, the Jewish Israeli IDF responded with high explosive shelling from tanks and high explosive missiles from helicopter gunships, killing about 1,500 Palestinians who had broken out. In a fire zone deaths are expected to be in proportion to the firepower employed and it is likely that most of the Israeli deaths on 7 October were caused by the IDF – indeed prize-winning Western journalists have evidenced blasted and incinerated houses, cars and people in support of this. The Israelis and their US backers are pathologically mendacious and it is very likely that the 7 October killing was conducted by the IDF to provide a 9/11-style excuse for the subsequent and continuing Gaza Genocide [17]. Generously assuming that only 50% of the Israelis killed on 7 October were killed by the IDF, then the Occupied/Occupier Reprisals Death Ratio is 43,640/600 = 73 or 7.3 times greater than the Reprisals Death Ratio of 10 ordered by Nazi mass murderer Hitler and effected in the Ardeatine Cave Massacre in Rome in 1944.
(iii). 240 Israeli hostages were taken but Apartheid Israel has highly abusively imprisoned about 10,000 Occupied Palestinians in Jewish Israeli military prisons [19-21], not to mention 5.6 million Occupied Palestinians highly abusively subject to Jewish Israeli military rule in ever-dwindling West Bank ghettoes (3.3 million) and the blockaded, bombed and now largely destroyed Gaza Concentration Camp (2.3 million).
(iv). Albanese, Labor and the Coalition have opposed an immediate and permanent Ceasefire for over 7 months of killing but faced with increasing Australian indignation over the mass murder of women and children (especially after the Jewish Israeli killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom) [22, 23] now follows bombs-supplying, child-killing geriatric and re-election obsessed Joe Biden in wanting “more aid” and opposing a catastrophic IDF invasion of Rafah.
(v). About 51% of the people “from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea” are Semitic Indigenous Palestinians whereas the mostly non-Semitic Jewish Israelis represent only 47% of the population (the Ashkenazi Jews running Apartheid Israel descend from non-Semitic Turkic Khazar converts to Judaism in the 9th century CE i.e. they are devoid of ethnic linkage to Palestine ). By rejecting the chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”, Labor , the Coalition and like-minded MPs are saying “from the river to the sea, Palestinians will NOT be free” – a rotten, racist and indeed anti-Semitic (specifically anti-Arab anti-Semitic) proposition unacceptable to decent, anti-racist Jewish, non-Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim Australians who simply want equal and full human rights for the sorely oppressed Indigenous Palestinians. However Apartheid Israel opposes human rights for the majority Indigenous Palestinians because that would mean the end of neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and its replacement with a non-racist, secular, democratic state for all the people – Jewish, Palestinian and others – “between the River and the Sea”.
(vi). To sane observers of 90% ethnically cleansed Palestine the “2-state solution” (an excuse for Western inaction) has been dead for years. Indeed serial war criminal Apartheid Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu totally rejects a 2-state solution.
(c ). The Australian Senate voted 56-12 on 16 May for a Coalition-introduced motion to condemn the “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” slogan, falsely stating that it “opposes Israel’s right to exist, and is frequently used by those who seek to intimidate Jewish Australians via acts of antisemitism”. The 11 Greens Senators and ex-Green Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe voted against the motion. Senator Fatima Payman was not present at the vote [4, 5].
Comment: What the long-suffering Palestinians and their supporters actually want is summarized by the title of my latest huge book, “Free Palestine. End Apartheid Israel, Human Rights Denial, Gaza Massacre, Child Killing, Occupation and Palestinian Genocide” [11, 12].
(d). The Australian Labor Government Health Minister, Mark Butler, said of the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”: “The phrase that she [Senator Fatima Payman] used is not a phrase that would ever escape my lips. It’s fundamentally inconsistent with the long-standing position of the Labor Party and Australia for a two-state solution to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine. This phrase is fundamentally inconsistent with the ongoing existence of the only Jewish state on the planet” [1].
Comment. The only problem with Mark Butler’s assertion lies in the nature of “the only Jewish state on the planet” – it is unfortunately in reality a genocidally racist, mendacious, grossly human rights-violating, child-killing, neo-Nazi Apartheid theocracy that was violently and genocidally created by inflicting a Palestinian Genocide on the ancient land of the Indigenous Palestinians (now 90% ethnically cleansed) through active and passive mass murder (2 million Palestinians killed by violence, 0.1 million, and imposed deprivation, the remainder) and 3 massive population expulsion events (0.8 million or 60% of the 1.4 million Palestinian population expelled in the 1948 Nakba; 0.4 million .expelled in the 1967 Naksa; 2.0 million expelled from their homes in the 2023-2024 Gaza Massacre and Gaza Genocide) [13].
Final comments and conclusions.
The core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth as enunciated by the wonderful Jewish Palestinian humanitarian Jesus. However these core moral imperatives are grossly violated by the genocidally racist Zionists and their repellently fervent Western supporters, in Australia most despicably the Labor Government, the Coalition opposition and like-minded other MPs.
The key messages from the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (that decimated my wider family in Hungary), from other WW2 holocausts (the Polish, Soviet, Europe-wide, Chinese and Bengali Holocausts) and indeed from all holocaust and genocide atrocities, are “zero tolerance for lying”, “zero tolerance for racism”, “bear witness” and “never again to anyone”. However these key moral imperatives are also grossly violated by the Zionist-subverted West including Zionist-subverted, Zionist-perverted and US lackey Australia under either Labor or Coalition Federal governments.
It is early days yet but a huge body of decent anti-racist Australians opposed to genocide and the mass murder of children will make Fatima Payman a worthy Australian and world heroine and support her noble and humane cause. Back in 2023 when the genocidal Jewish Israeli onslaught on Gaza had just begun, numerous organizations spoke out in defence of Palestinian lives, such as the Islamic Council of Victoria [24], the Arab Council Australia [25], the Australian Centre for International Justice [26], the Australian National Union of Students [27], and the socialists [28].
In the US and Australia students are setting up campus encampments. In the UK Arabs, Muslims and other decent folk have dramatically spurned the Zionist-subverted Labour and Conservatives. In the US Biden has lost the vital support of Arabs, Muslims and decent and idealistic young Democrat voters (who in all likelihood will simply stay home on election day). In Australia Arabs and Muslims will naturally enough eschew Labor, Coalition and other politicians backing the mass murder of Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims [5].
Decent Australians in general will simply not be able to go past the unspeakably awful and utterly ineffable mass murder of 16,000 children and 10,000 women to date in Gaza by US-, Germany- and Australia-armed and US Alliance-backed Jewish Israeli state terrorists [29, 30].
The Vietnam War was finally stopped because of Domestic reaction to the TV coverage of the carnage. The US responded by embedding journalists with the military in the Iraq War and the Afghan War (deaths from violence and imposed deprivation about 5 million and 7 million, respectively). About 32 million Muslims died from violence (5 million) and imposed deprivation (27 million) in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity [31, 32].
The ongoing Gaza Massacre and Gaza Genocide has so far been associated with 125,200 Palestinians killed and injured so far – 5.4% of the 2.3 million Gaza population (for comparison with other atrocities see [12, 33-37]). The US and Germany have supplied 69% and 30% of the weaponry, respectively [30]. US lackey Australia was a small but significant weapons supplier and supported the Gaza Genocide in 20 ways [29]. Satellite and mobile phone images have brought this carnage into Western living rooms.
Australia has a compulsory and preferential voting system. For a valid vote you must numerically indicate your order of preference for all candidates. If a candidate fails to get 50% of the vote second preferences are considered. I and my activist friends find it impossible to vote for Gaza Genocide-complicit Labor (presently in Government) or the even worse extreme right-wing Coalition (presently in Opposition). But who to put last and who second last? Because Labor is actually in government and has unforgivably made Australia complicit in the Gaza Genocide many will vote 1 Green (or for like-minded decent folk opposed to the mass murder of children), put Labor last and put the Coalition second last. Others will put the repellent Coalition last.
Either way, the Gaza Genocide is set to generate massive support for Third Party alternatives (notably the Greens) to the US Republican/Democrat, UK Conservative/Labour and Australian Coalition/Labor duopolies. Decent people informed by the moral clarity of Fatima Payman will simply not vote for parties complicit in genocide and the mass murder of children.
