Trump’s Loss Will Make The Coming U.S. Presidential Election The Last To Be Decided By Ballots Rather Than Bullets: Mike Huckabee

 Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee warned on the latest episode of his “Huckabee” program on the Trinity Broadcasting Network that the 2024 election may be the last decided by “ballots rather than bullets” if former President Donald Trump does not win.

In a report, (Mike Huckabee Hints at Violence if Trump Loses in 2024: Will Be Last Election ‘Decided by Ballots Rather Than Bullets’ (Video),  September 7, 2023), The Wrap said:

“Huckabee, himself a failed presidential candidate, began the segment by accusing President Joe Biden with enacting similar policing tactics seen in ‘third-world dictatorships’ to silent his primary political opponent.

“‘Do you know how political opponents to those in power are dealt with in third-world dictatorships, banana republics and communist regimes?’ Huckabee asked during his monologue of Saturday night’s episode. ‘The people in power use their police agencies to arrest their opponents for made-up crimes in an attempt to discredit them, bankrupt them, imprison them, exile them or all of the above.’

“For Huckabee, the multiple indictments against Trump fall under the ‘made-up crimes’ category. Trump became the first American president to be indicted in March with charges relating to 2016 hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. And he has faced three indictments since then, most recently a series of charges out of Fulton County, Georgia, relating to alleged efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.”

The report said:

“While it is unfounded by fact, Huckabee said he believes that Trump’s legal woes surrounding alleged hush-money payments, conspiracies to defraud the United States, mishandling of classified documents and more are a direct result of Biden trying to silence his political opponent.

“‘If you are not paying attention, you may not realize that Joe Biden is using exactly those tactics to make sure that Donald Trump is not his opponent in 2024,’ Huckabee said.

“‘This kind of thuggery at tax payer expense isn’t supposed to happen in the United States,’ he continued. ‘No, we are supposed to be a nation of laws and not a nation of powerful people. But the Biden administration is in full meltdown mode to hide the money laundering, influence peddling and outright bribery that Joe, his son Hunter and their associates have been conducting for well over a decade that has enriched them to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.’

“And that is where the former politician intimated of violence to come if the legal actions against Trump are to cost him the 2024 presidential election.

“‘Here’s the problem: If these tactics end up working to keep Trump from winning or even running in 2024, it is going to be the last American election that will be decided by ballots rather than bullets,’ he said.”

22 Years In Prison Sentence For Proud Boys Leader

Another media report said:

Enrique Tarrio, former leader of the Proud Boys right-wing activist group, has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for his role in organizing the January 2021 U.S. Capitol riot.

U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Kelly handed down the sentence on Tuesday in Washington, marking the longest prison term yet among more than 1,100 Capitol riot-related criminal cases.

Tarrio’s long sentence for seditious conspiracy reflected the judge’s finding that he committed an act of terrorism, even though he was not in Washington on the day more than 2,000 people stormed the Capitol building, seeking to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s election victory.

Tarrio was in a Baltimore hotel room, about 40 miles outside of Washington, during the Capitol breach. He was under a court order to stay out of the city in connection with an unrelated arrest two days prior to the riot.

Prosecutors, who requested a 33-year prison sentence, claimed that Tarrio was a ringleader of the plot to stop the transfer of power to Biden from then-President Donald Trump. He sent messages from his hotel room encouraging the Proud Boys members who participated in the riot.

Dozens of the group have been prosecuted for their alleged roles in the Capitol breach. Three other members of the group were convicted of seditious conspiracy and were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 15 to 18 years. Stewart Rhodes, chairman of another activist group, Oath Keepers, was also sentenced to 18 years, previously the longest prison term for a riot-related conviction.

“Two-tier Justice System”

Republican lawmakers have accused the Biden administration of creating a “two-tier” justice system, harshly punishing the Trump supporters accused of breaching the Capitol while releasing left-wing activists involved in the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots that torched cities and resulted in dozens of deaths. A poll last year showed that 79% of U.S. voters believe the nation has “one set of laws for politicians and Washington, DC, insiders vs. one set of laws for everyday Americans.”

Trump was impeached by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives on January 13, 2021, for his alleged role in orchestrating the riot. He denied any wrongdoing, insisting that the allegations were politically motivated. At the same time, Trump continues to claim that he had actually won the 2020 election, but the victory was “stolen” from him.

Sarah Palin On Insurrectionists’ Prison Time

A report (Sarah Palin On Insurrectionists’ Prison Time: ‘What’s The Use In Being A Good Guy?’, September 6, 2023) by The Huffpost said:

GOP firebrand Sarah Palin said Tuesday the prison time recently given to insurrectionists in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack “makes the good guy think, ‘What is the use in being a good guy?’”

The interview with Newsmax’s Eric Bolling severely downplayed the prominent roles of Proud Boys gang members Zachary Rehl, Joe Biggs and Ethan Nordean. All received double-digit sentences after being convicted of seditious conspiracy for planning, encouraging and orchestrating the siege.

Bolling characterized their participation as “nonviolent” and suggested they “could have simply been charged with trespassing or vandalism.” He also spoke of the Christmases they will miss with their families.

Palin ― a former Alaska governor, 2008 vice presidential candidate and recent loser in a Donald Trump-endorsed bid for the House of Representatives ― echoed conservative whitewashing of the attempted coup as an example of a biased justice system.

“It is so disheartening, the examples that you have given, Eric,” Palin replied. “It makes the populace lose a lot of faith in our government, and that’s an understatement. Unfortunately, what this leads to, when we recognize the examples that you just gave, the two-tiered different justice systems that apply according to politics, you know, it makes the good guy think, ‘What is the use in being a good guy? We are gonna be punished, you know, we’re picked on, is what we are under this system.’”
