A calendar is a mosaic. There are dates to mourn, there are dates to rejoice. There are dates that frustrate, there are dates that inspire. This is a small effort to make sure that we remember the heroes we deserve and the tragedies we do not. It is to remind us of the pledges we need to renew and the injustices we must not erase from our calendars. Because while the grandeur and the cacophony try to numb our moral sensibilities, we are today in a “battle of memory against forgetting”.
