Australia was among the world’s first countries for democracy, unions, human rights, female suffrage, and for free, compulsory and secular education, noting that democracy ideally requires an informed electorate. However there is a very dark and ongoing Australian history that is deliberately hidden by an entrenched Mainstream culture of looking the other way that is maintained by massive, corrupt and fraudulent Mainstream media (MSM) lying by omission and lying by commission.
At the outset it must be noted that lying by omission is far, far worse than repugnant lying by commission because the latter at least permits public refutation and public debate (subject, of course, to the will of Mainstream media gate-keepers) [1-3]. Democracy ideally requires an informed electorate but driven by ever-increasing wealth inequity Western democracies have become kleptocracies, plutocracies, Murdochracies. lobbyocracies, corporatocracies and dollarocracies in which Big Money purchases public perception of reality, votes, more political power and hence more private profit. Indeed famed French economist Thomas Piketty has described how wealth inequity is bad for the economy (the poor cannot afford to buy the goods and services they produce) and bad for democracy (Big Money buys votes) [4-6].
(A). Some key critiques by leading Australians about false Mainstream media (MSM) reportage.
There is a large World literature concerned with lying [1-3] but the opinions of some great Americans are pertinent here because (a) Australia has been tightly linked militarily and propaganda-wise to the US for 80 years, and (b) the free speech guarantee of the First Amendment of the American Constitution. The following selection of US views is pertinent to Australian Mainstream media lying: (a) Douglas MacArthur (WW2 US general in the Pacific theatre): “One cannot wage war under present conditions without the support of public opinion, which is tremendously molded by the press and other forms of propaganda”; (b) I. F. Stone (outstanding anti-racist Jewish American journalist and author of numerous books, including “The Hidden History of the Korean War, 1950-1951”): “Among all the things I’m going to tell you today about being a journalist, all you have to remember is two words: governments lie”; (c) Bonny Stilwell (American activist): “Scerrorism: Terrorism of a population by the media, carried out by reporting acts of terror that might happen but never actually do”; (d) Gore Vidal (famed US writer): “Unlike most Americans who lie all the time, I hate lying. And here I am surrounded with these hills [in Hollywood] full of liars — some very talented”; and (e) Professor Noam Chomsky (MIT) and Professor Edward Herman (University of Pennsylvania) (authors of the seminal “Manufacturing Consent”: “In sum, the mass media of the United States are effective and powerful ideological institutions that carry out a system-supportive propaganda function by reliance on market forces, internalized assumptions, and self-censorship, and without any significant overt coercion” [1].
Set out below in alphabetical order are some key critiques by leading Australians about false MSM reportage.
(1). Mark Aarons and John Loftus (authors of “The Secret War Against the Jews: How Western Espionage Betrayed the Jewish People” (1997): “The hidden parts of history, the covert sides, are far more orderly and rational, but can be seen and understood only if you are told where to look. The holes in history are what makes sense of the thing” [1].
(2). Australian Greens (2023): “The Greens will introduce a bill to establish a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the Murdoch media empire and the control and influence they have over Australian democracy. Greens spokesperson for Communications and Chair of the Senate Inquiry into Media Diversity, Senator Sarah Hanson-Young said: “The credibility of the Murdoch media is in tatters. This week’s revelations in the Dominion case in the US about Fox News knowingly platforming lies must be the last straw. If the Murdoch media is telling lies in the US, why would it be any different in Australia? Australians’ trust in news and journalism is at an all time low. The damage the Murdoch press has done to the integrity of the Fourth Estate and public interest journalism cannot be underestimated. It is why Australians overwhelmingly support a Royal Commission into the Murdoch Media and if the government won’t deliver it, the parliament should. The Greens will introduce a bill for a parliamentary commission of inquiry with the full powers of a Royal Commission and we urge the Labor Government to support it. For too long politicians and political parties have been too afraid to question the Murdoch machine in fear of misreporting and powerful campaigns being waged against them on the front pages of newspapers across the country. Politicians can’t continue to sit on their hands in fear while our democracy is undermined by a billionaire media mogul who wields unvetted and unaccountable political influence. Only a Royal Commission will be able to expose the true extent of this behaviour and make recommendations to the parliament to ensure it comes to an end. Whether it’s the US, UK or Australia the ongoing harassment of individuals, spreading of misinformation, campaigns that corrupt our democratic processes, is overt and dangerous. It’s time for it to stop”[7].
(3). Wilfrid Burchett (an outstanding Australian journalist who was severely persecuted for reporting World War 2, and the Korean and Indo-China Wars from the Communist side) writing to his brother on 12 October 1969: “ Thank goodness I have been able to maintain my independence throughout all these years, awfully difficult from all viewpoints though it was. To be able to speak to Russians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Cambodians as a friend but completely independent, enables me to do and say things others may not. But now and again this yields positive results” [1].
(4). Peter Carey (famed Australian writer) (2010): “I keep on thinking about the role of the medial generally in this and how the media is always so continually hysterical about people lying and not telling the truth. And if I really think there’s a big problem in our society today, it’s that the media is not telling the truth to people and they know what it is. If you really want to know what’s happening [in] the world, you go out and get drunk with journalists and they will tell you what isn’t in the papers. So they’re living – these guys are living every day with the reality of a proprietor, say, or a corporation who owns them will not permit them to tell what they know to be true” [1].
(5). Sarah Hanson-Young (Greens senator who chaired a Senate Inquiry into Media Diversity) (2021): “[It is] clear that the regulatory system for media in this country is broken. Mechanisms that should ensure accountability and responsible reporting are slow and ineffective and we are seeing a rise in misinformation that is causing serious harm in our community” [8]. (Both the Coalition Government and the Labor Opposition rejected the Senate Committee Majority Report’s call for a judicial investigation into Australian media [8]).
(6). Bernard Keane (leading Australian journalist, political editor of Crikey, and author of “Lies & Falsehoods” [9, 10]) (2021):“Call out one side too much, even if it’s justified, and your access [to politicians] will be revoked. It’s also why so few outlets have been willing to talk openly about Scott Morrison’s regular lying” (page 56 [9]).
(7). Katherine Murphy (political editor of The Guardian ) reported (2021): “The former US director of national intelligence James Clapper has backed a call by former Australian prime ministers Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull for a royal commission into the Murdoch media, saying Australia needs to take preventative steps to avoid any slide into “truth decay”… The two former Australian prime ministers have spearheaded the royal commission campaign as a means of highlighting the need for greater media diversity in Australia.… Half a million people signed a petition supporting a royal commission into the Murdoch media and broader issues of media diversity. Both Rudd and Turnbull have examining the dominance of News Corp Australia and its impact on democracy – a probe triggered by that petition” [11].
(8). John Pilger (famed expatriate Australian journalist) on Murdochracy Australia (2010): “What is a murdochracy? It is where the fealty and augmentation of Murdoch’s editors and managers are undisguised, an inspiration to his choir on seven continents, where even his competitors sing along and wise politicians heed the Murdochism: “What’ll it be? A headline a day or a bucket of shit a day?”… Murdoch knows that little separates the main political parties in Australia, Britain and America. He plays the man. In 1972, he backed Australia’s Gough Whitlam, who revealed himself to be a radical reformer. A furious Murdoch swung his newspapers against Whitlam with stories so outrageously skewed that rebellious journalists on the Australian burned their paper in the street. That has never been repeated… In 1983, there were 50 major corporations dominating the world’s media. By 2002, this had been reduced to nine. Rupert Murdoch says that eventually there will be three, including his own. If we accept this, media and information control will be the same, and we all shall be citizens of a murdochracy” [12].
(9). Kevin Rudd (former Labor Prime Minister of Australia and former Chair, Australians for a Murdoch Royal Commission) (2021): “An open public inquiry with a broad remit, proper resourcing and a commissioner of unimpeachable integrity can give proprietors, journalists, editors and others the opportunity to each be heard and have their assertions tested in real time. It would have the legitimacy of an open process with daily exposure of its revelations that keep the public informed and engaged throughout. It would serve as a lightning rod for Australians, including former and serving Murdoch employees, to give evidence fearlessly. Since it would be a proper investigation – not a partisan trap of the kind set by Tony Abbott’s royal commissions – it could also test the Murdoch media’s gripes about anti-siphoning laws, social media and allegedly endemic left-wing bias at the ABC. Its recommendations, whatever they are, would carry the force of that legitimacy. We don’t need another boutique review to be ignored or manipulated. We’ve tried that too many times, and it has delivered us the most concentrated media industry of any democracy on Earth” [13].
(10). Malcolm Turnbull (former Coalition Prime Minister of Australia, present co-chair, Australians for a Murdoch Royal Commission) and Sharan Burrow (co-chair, Australians for a Murdoch Royal Commission, former general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation and a former president of the Australian Council of Trade Unions): “In the wake of these latest revelations, Murdoch’s Fox News (echoed by its Australian mini-me, Sky News) has shown contempt for the public with a series of Orwellian broadcasts claiming the fatal Capitol attack was not an assault on democracy. Whatever we all thought we saw, these were mostly “sightseers” who entered the Capitol so they could “revere” the building. This has serious consequences for Australia. Not only does our long-term economic and national security depend on the stability of our US ally, but the same corporate culture exists in Australia, where News Corp accounts for more than half the media industry. So we can no longer avoid the question: could News Corp do the same thing here? If you’re paying close enough attention, you’ll see that it already is. Murdoch’s News Corp long ago abandoned its commitment to truth. Newsrooms once staffed by the nation’s best journalists have been hollowed out, replaced in many cases by extreme political activists. The company’s claims of editorial independence are farcical”[14].
(B). Media can have opinions, but should not lie to customers (fraud), dishonestly pervert people, institutions and government (corruption), and lie in the interest of inimical foreign governments (treason).
Corruption is defined as dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, this typically involving bribery and financial advantage. Australian National Criminal Lawyer (NCL): “What is Fraud/Obtain benefit by Deception? A person who, by deception, dishonestly obtains property belonging to someone else, or obtains a financial advantage or causes a financial disadvantage, is guilty of fraud. Section 192E of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW) covers the majority of conduct falling under the general umbrella of “fraud” [15, 16].
People pay good money for hard copies of leading Australian newspapers (presently A$4 for a copy of The Australian at my local newsagent in Melbourne) and also shell out for online subscriptions. The purchasers expect honest reportage for their money. Freedom of speech (that is the cornerstone of democracy) means that commercial media can hold and express opinions, but lying by omission and lying by commission to media purchasers is fraud and corruption with the benefit accruing to the owners and associates of the media concerned. Lying to subvert people, institutions and government in the interests of the media owners and their political associates, commercial associates and sympathizers is corruption. Lying in the interests of dangerous and inimical foreign governments is treason (thus, for example, in 1946 William Joyce aka Lord Haw-Haw, a US born German citizen, was tried and hanged by the British for broadcasting for Nazi Germany) [17].
Publicly-funded media such as the ABC (the Australian Broadcasting Corporation; Australia’s equivalent of the UK BBC) and SBS (Australia’s excellent multicultural broadcasting organization with significant taxpayer funding) are meant to be unbiased although individual journalists can have certain opinions and biases. However lying by omission and lying by commission by taxpayer-funded media is fraud and corruption when perpetrated on the taxpayer, and treason when perpetrated in the interests of inimical foreign governments.
At a fundamental level, lying and deception by Mainstream media is fraud and corruption that violates the core ethos of Humanity that is commitment to Kindness and Truth. In look-the-other-way Australia Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes corruptly replace the core ethos of Kindness and Truth with Violation and Mendacity.
(C). Horrendous examples of fraudulent and corrupt lying by Australian Mainstream media (MSM).
A huge number of examples can be given of fraudulent and corrupt lying by Australian Mainstream media (MSM) but only a few are summarized below.
(1). Australian MSM purvey Orwellian lying. In George Orwell’s dystopic novel “1984” Big Brother turned truth on its head by declaring that war is peace, ignorance is strength, slavery is freedom and 2 plus 2 does not equal 4 [18]. I published a very detailed account of how Australian MSM blatantly purvey all of these Orwellian falsehoods in an article entitled “Rampant Orwellian falsehood in neoliberal Australia – and in your country too?”[19].
(2). Australian MSM ignore Australian involvement in 30 genocides. Variously as UK or US lackeys Australia has invaded 85 countries with 30 of these invasions being genocidal [20, 21], yet Australian MSM ignore nearly all of these atrocities , and indeed the definitive Cambridge History of Australia managed to avoid seeing any of them [22].
(3). Australian MSM largely ignore the Australian Aboriginal Genocide – qualitatively the worst genocide in human history. The 235 year and ongoing Australian Aboriginal Genocide has been associated with about 0.1 million violent deaths and about 2 million deaths from disease, dispossession and deprivation [23-25], but among some 70 genocides globally there are many others that are quantitatively worse in terms in terms of deaths [26-29]. However while in 1788 there were 350-700 Indigenous Australian languages and dialects today there are only about 120 of which all but about 20 are endangered [23]. This makes the Australian Aboriginal Genocide qualitatively the worst genocide in human history. This ongoing Aboriginal Ethnocide is promoted by English-only education, de facto government hostility to remote Aboriginal communities living “on Country”(i.e. on their sacred tribal homeland in continental Australia), and the forced removal of children from their mothers (with this presently running at a record rate notwithstanding former Labor PM Kevin Rudd’s famous “Sorry” for the so-called Stolen Generations that involved about 0.1 million Indigenous children being forcibly removed from their mothers, forbidden to speak their language and trained to be effective quasi-slave labour in many instances [30].
(4). Australian MSM ignore the 2-century and Australia-complicit Indian Holocaust – quantitatively the worst genocide in human history. Australians were loyal subjects of the British Empire of which the 2-century British Raj in India was the ”jewel in the crown”. Indeed the British claim on Australia by Captain James Cook in 1770 occurred at the same time as the 1769-1770 Great Bengal Famine in which 10 million Indians died in Bengal due to British rapacity. The British invasion of Australia in 1788 was linked to the Anglo-French war in India and elsewhere. Relatively small numbers of British invaders with the help of well-fed Indian sepoys were able to control 200-350 million impoverished Indians living close to the edge of survival. Indeed Winston Churchill (1935): “In the standard of life they have nothing to spare. The slightest fall from the present standard of life in India means slow starvation, and the actual squeezing out of life, not only of millions but of scores of millions of people, who have come into the world at your invitation and under the shield and protection of British power” [27, 31]. British-imposed atrocities from the 1769-1770 Bengal Famine (10 million dead) to the 1942-1945 Bengal Famine (6-7 million dead) were associated with 1.8 billion excess Indian deaths in the British occupation period of 1757-1947. Thus despite a very high birth rate, the Indian population remained the same between 1860 and 1930. In 2 centuries of passive mass murder the British stole $45 trillion from India and 1.8 billion Indians died prematurely in what was quantitatively the worst genocide in human history [27, 31-42].
(5). Australian MSM ignore the British-imposed and Australia-complicit WW2 Bengali Holocaust. In 1942-1945 the British with food-denying Australian complicity deliberately starved 6-7 million Indians to death for strategic reasons in Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha. Australia produced 24 million tonnes of wheat in WW2 but only 9 million tonnes were exported (mainly to the UK and the Mediterranean theatre) [26-42]. The ban on exports required the construction of huge grain storage barns (“cathedrals of the bush”) of which one survives as a tourist attraction in Murtoa, Victoria (no mention of the Bengali Holocaust however [43, 44]). During the worst of the famine Australia on British orders exported as little as 0.4 million tonnes of wheat to its ally, starving India , that contributed huge industrial production and 2.4 million soldiers to the Allied war effort. British wartime leader Winston Churchill made no mention of the British-imposed and Australia-complicit WW2 Bengali Holocaust in his 6 volume “The Second World War” for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The core human ethos is Kindness and Truth but racist and mendacious Australian MSM followed the UK in this continuing holocaust denial.
(6). Australian MSM acknowledge only 1 holocaust (the WW2 Jewish Holocaust) to exclusion of 70 other genocides and holocausts. I have carefully tabulated about 70 genocides and holocausts [26-29] but Western Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes only acknowledge 1, namely the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed by the Nazis through violence and deprivation according to eminent Jewish British historian Sir Martin Gilbert [46-48]). Further, the Australian and Western MSM refer to the WW2 Jewish Holocaust as “The Holocaust” to the exclusion of about 70 other genocides and holocausts Indeed the first WW2 holocaust to be described as such was the WW2 Bengali Holocaust, described as a holocaust by N.G. Jog in “Churchill’s Blind-Spot: India” in 1944 [27, 35].
(7). The racist, mendacious and evidently US-, UK- and Zionist-subverted and Zionist-perverted ABC ignores most genocides and holocausts. By way of just several examples, a Search of the ABC for the following genocide and holocaust terms yields the following results: “The Holocaust” (632 results), “Jewish Holocaust” (191), “Aboriginal Genocide” (58), “Australian Aboriginal Genocide” (21), “Polish Holocaust” (10; none actually about the 6 million victim Polish Holocaust), “Chinese Holocaust” (10; only 1 actually related to the Chinese Holocaust in which 35-40 million Chinese perished under the Japanese, 1937-1945), “Soviet Holocaust” (5; none about the Soviet Holocaust in which 27 million Soviet citizens were killed by the Nazis), and “Palestinian Genocide”(4; only 1 related to the century-long, Australia-complicit Palestinian Genocide in which 0.1 million Indigenous Palestinians were killed violently and 2 million died from imposed deprivation) [49-51]. The ABC must be praised for acknowledging surviving Indigenous Australian nations by name (e.g. the Wurundjeri in my part of Melbourne) but this small selection of results reveals entrenched genocide-ignoring hypocrisy that variously amounts to egregious racism, anti-Arab anti-Semitism, and Sinophobia.
A further example is ABC malreportage of the 1990 onwards Iraqi Holocaust. The 20th anniversary of the war criminal US, UK and Australian invasion of Iraq in 2003 fell on about 20 March 2023. On this occasion mendacious and racist Western media would at best remember the Iraq War as a US policy “mistake”. However decent people will remember the carnage. From 1990 onwards Iraqi deaths from US-imposed violence and deprivation have totalled about 5.0-5.5 million, similar to deaths in the WW2 Jewish Holocaust ( 5-6 million). In 2003-2011 Iraqi deaths from violence (1.5 million) and imposed deprivation (1.2 million) totalled 2.7 million [50-53], however on the occasion of the substantial withdrawal of US forces in 2011 the ABC reported: “It ended a war that left tens of thousands of Iraqis and nearly 4,500 American soldiers dead, many more wounded, and 1.75 million Iraqis displaced, after the US-led invasion unleashed brutal sectarian killing” [54]. Likewise the ABC (that rightly objects to awful Taliban misogyny) ignores an estimated 6 million Afghans (mostly children) who died avoidably from deprivation under 20 years of US Alliance and Australian occupation – evidence of gross violation by the politicians of the war criminal Occupying Nations of Articles 55 and 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention that state unequivocally that an Occupier is obliged to provide life-sustaining food and medical services to the Conquered Subjects “to the fullest extent of the means available to it” [26, 41, 53, 55].
(8). Australian MSM lie egregiously about Apartheid Israel. Australian MSM adopt the pro-Zionist line that is sine qua non for Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australia. However while MSM having a Zionist bias is permissible if morally repugnant in a democracy, lying is intolerable. By way of example, Australian MSM falsely assert that “Israel is a Jewish state” ( yet over 50% of the Subjects of Apartheid Israel are Indigenous Palestinians) and that “Israel is a democracy” (yet 5.5 million Occupied Palestinian, 73% of the present majority 7.5 million Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel, cannot vote for the government ruling them i.e. they are subject to egregious Apartheid) [26, 27, 41, 49, 56-58]. While lying by commercial MSM is merely fraud at the expense of their paying customers, lying in the interests of foreign states inimical to Australia (Australia-violating Apartheid Israel and Australia-violating pro-Apartheid America) is treason. While the presently ruling Labor Government is ostensibly more human rights-cognizant than the Coalition Opposition (“ideologically opposed to human rights” according to leading human rights lawyer Professor Gillian Triggs [59]) the MSM generally (and the Murdoch media in particular) are neoliberal and favour the Coalition. However the present Australian Labor Government lies for Apartheid Israel in 15 ways with the support of Australian MSM [57].
Important explainer. At this point, because of the egregious racism, anti-Jewish anti-Semitism (directed by genocidally racist Zionists and their supporters at anti-racist Jews critical of Apartheid Israel), anti-Arab anti-Semitism, and mendacity of Australian MSM, it is necessary for me to explain that I am a genocide-impacted, anti-racist Ashkenazi Jewish Australian scientist, humanitarian writer and artist with a sole allegiance to the country of my birth, Australia. I come from a very famous Jewish Hungarian family that was decimated in the WW2 Jewish Holocaust in Hungary in 1944-1945. DNA analysis reveals my Jewish Hungarian forbears as overwhelmingly Ashkenazi Jewish with zero Middle Eastern Semitic contribution (the politically dominant Eastern and Central European Ashkenazi Jews descend from non-Semitic Turkic Khazar converts to Judaism in Southern Russia in circa the 9th century CE). I am inescapably bound by the key moral messages from the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (and indeed from all genocide and holocaust atrocities), specifically “zero tolerance for lying”, “zero tolerance for racism”, “bear witness” and “never again to anybody” (this of course including the sorely oppressed Indigenous Palestinians and Indigenous Australians).
(9). Australian MSM dishonestly back the racist, anti-Semitic and mendacious International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) of which Australia is a member. The IHRA is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim critics of Apartheid Israel as assertedly “anti-Semitic”) and holocaust ignoring by ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed), namely (deaths in brackets) the WW2 Polish Holocaust (6 million), WW2 European Holocaust (30 million Slav, Jewish and Roma deaths), WW2 Soviet Holocaust (27 million deaths), WW2 Chinese Holocaust (35-40 million Chinese killed under the Japanese, 1937-1945), and the WW2 Bengali Holocaust (WW2 Indian Holocaust,WW2 Bengal Famine; 6-7 million Indians deliberately starved to death in Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha for strategic reasons by the British with food-denying Australian complicity) [60]. Of the 35 members of the MSM-backed IHRA (a) all are European; (b) the 5 located outside Europe (Argentina, Australia, Canada, Apartheid Israel, and the US) were all created based on the genocide of the Indigenous People; (c) 9 members were part of the genocidal WW2 Nazi Germany Alliance; (d) 4 (the US, UK, France and Apartheid Israel) are nuclear terrorist states; (e) 28 belong to the 30-member nuclear-armed NATO that accepts mass incineration of billions of men, women and children as an acceptable military strategy; (f) 14 were notably involved in the brutal conquest and genocide of Indigenous non-European people over 5 centuries; (g). only 2 (Austria and Ireland) have had the moral decency to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW); (h) all but 3 shockingly voted No to the annual UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution in 2022 that condemns Nazism, neo-Nazism and related racist obscenities [60]. Over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations have condemned the IHRA [61].
(10). Pro-Zionist Australian MSM violate the core Kindness and Truth ethos of Humanity by being egregiously anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic. Australian MSM are anti-Jewish anti-Semitic by (a) falsely conflating Zionism and Apartheid Israel with all Jews (ignoring the reality that in North America the proportion of under-40 year old Jews condemning Israeli Apartheid is presently just under 50%, (b) falsely defaming anti-racist Jews critical of the horrendous crimes of Apartheid Israel, and (c) exacerbating evil anti-Semitism around the world by fervently supporting Apartheid Israel and pro-Apartheid America and hence appalling Zionist crimes that contribute to global anti-Jewish anti-Semitism.
While “traditional” anti-Jewish anti-Semitism is extremely rare in my personal experience in Australia, false, defamatory and damaging anti-Jewish anti-Semitism directed at anti-racist Jewish Australians is an ugly reality in Zionist-subverted Australia. The pro-Zionist MSM are complicit in this ugly, prevalent and damaging anti-Jewish anti-Semitism effected by racist Zionists with a fervent and intrinsically traitorous attachment to a nuclear terrorist, racist Zionist-run, genocidally racist, serial war criminal, grossly human rights-abusing, Apartheid rogue state, Apartheid Israel, that is a blot on Jewry and Judaism [61].
While anti-Jewish anti-Semitism is overwhelmingly verbal and written by ignorant and racist neo-Nazi idiots in Australia, Australian MSM anti-Arab anti-Semitism comes from the powerful Establishment MSM oligopoly and ranges from dangerously entrenched racist prejudice (e.g. the Cronulla riots and the mosque of relatives by marriage being burned down in Brisbane) to support for the anti-Arab anti-Semitic and Islamophobic US War on Terror. It is estimated that 32 million Muslims died from violence, 5 million, and imposed deprivation, 27 million, in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance in the War on Terror after the US Government’s false flag 9/11 atrocity that killed about 3,000 innocent Americans [62, 63]. Outstanding anti-racist Jewish American scholar Professor Bertell Ollman (NYU): “An all out struggle against Zionism by Jews, therefore, is also the most effective way to fight against real anti-Semitism. Furthermore, if Zionism is indeed a particularly virulent form of nationalism and, increasingly, of racism and if Israel is acting toward its captive minority in ways that resemble more and more how the Nazis treated their Jews, then we must also say so. For obvious reasons, the Zionists are very sensitive about being compared to the Nazis (not so sensitive that it has restrained them in their actions but enough to bellow “unfair” and to charge “anti-Semitism” when it happens. Yet, the facts on the ground, when not obscured by one or another Zionist rationalization, show that the Zionists are the worst anti-Semites in the world today, oppressing a Semitic people as no nation has done since the Nazis” [61].
(11). Australian MSM are variously fraudulently, corruptly and traitorously committed to war, racism, and genocide. Criminally misinformed by substantially US-owned, racist and endlessly warmongering Australian MSM, pro-war Rightist Australians swallow crude warmongering and notoriously assert that “We are not racist but…”. War is the penultimate in racism and genocide is the ultimate in racism. Australian MSM and thence Australians supported involvement in all post-1950 US Asian Wars, atrocities associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence and imposed deprivation [41] (the Coalition supported all these wars, but Labor supported all but the Vietnam War and the Iraq War). Australian MSM and thence Australians supported the US War on Terror (over 30 million Muslim deaths from violence and deprivation in 20 countries) [62]. In most of these wars Australia has provided just enough support to supposedly guarantee US protection from what were called “Asian hordes” , the “Yellow peril”, and the “Red menace” supposedly threatening Australia, while preserving the ever-increasing wealth accumulation of rich Australians. The racism and stupidity of the Coalition and the cowardice and political greed of Labor have now conspired to massively increase Australian support for US and UK war industries via a Sinophobic Australia-UK-US (AUKUS) Alliance that will cost A$400 billion over 20 years (about half the presently $40 billion annual Australian defence budget annually for 20 years) for 8 nuclear-powered submarines (one notes that the UK and US have no significant non-military interests in the Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific, and rapidly evolving technologies mean that these 8 submarines will be AI-detectable Sitting Ducks and White Elephants within years). The joint Australia-US spying base at Pine Gap in Central Australia targets war criminal US drone strikes on 7 impoverished Muslim countries from Libya and Somalia to Pakistan and Afghanistan [64-67].
(12). US- and Zionist-beholden Australian MSM dishonestly apply double standards to the war crimes of other nations. Australian MSM rightly condemn the war criminal Russian invasion of Ukraine and the occupation of the substantially Russian-speaking eastern areas of that devastated country. However substantially US owned and US beholden Australian MSM ignore 3 decades of relentless US provocation in Eastern Europe, the US-backed Ukrainian coup in 2014, US backing of neo-Nazi elements, and the proxy US war in Ukraine that has meant more huge profits for US war industry (the military industrial complex) while devastating Ukraine, killing hundreds of thousands, creating millions of refugees, and threatening millions with famine in the Developing World. US- and Zionist-beholden Australian MSM ignore the horrible realities that the US has invaded 72 countries (52 since WW2) [20, 68] and that serial war criminal Apartheid Israel has illegally and violently occupied all of Palestine plus parts of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria for 56 years, and has attacked 13 countries in its short and dirty history as a neo-Nazi rogue state and war criminal US proxy [41, 56, 57] .
(13). US-beholden and largely US-owned Australian MSM support serial war criminal US hostility to peaceful China, Australia’s biggest trading partner. US-beholden and largely US-owned Australian MSM ignore the realities that in the last 800 years China has only invaded and annexed 2 contiguous entities, namely Tibet (in the 14th century as England was conquering Celtic Britain) and Xinjiang (in the 18th century as the UK was conquering most of the world) [41]. Apart from inevitable border spats, most countries in the world have not invaded other countries. Costa Rica does not even have an army. In stark contrast, the US has invaded 72 countries (52 since WW2), has committed 469 invasions from 1798 onwards, committed 251 invasions since 1991, and has 800 military bases in over 70 countries [68-73]. The US actively spies on and subverts all countries, deceives and spies on its craven ally Australia, and indeed supplies raw intelligence on Australians to Apartheid Israel [74]. Highly militarized Apartheid Israel acts as a proxy for the US throughout the world [75]. For sure, China like many other countries can and must be variously criticized for a one-party state, the death penalty, and harsh treatment of dissidents. However credit must be given where it is due and China must be applauded for bringing 800 million people out of dire poverty and a remarkable record of not invading other countries. China is Australia’s biggest trading partner and Australia’s present wealth depends heavily on China. However this is endangered by the traitorous warmongering and Sinophobia of US-beholden and largely US-owned Australian MSM (for John Pilger on the US threat to China see [76, 77]).
(14). Australian MSM ignore the huge evil of the violation of Australians, Australian institutions and Australia by Apartheid Israel and its traitorous Zionist agents. Australians have been variously subject to the following violations by Apartheid Israel and its traitorous Zionist agents: injury, wounding, mangling, killing, torture, abuse, imprisonment, tasering, shooting, kidnapping, robbery, criminality, defamation, racism, falsehood, insider trading, fraud, corruption, passport forging, threat, intimidation, lying, treason, reputational destruction, side-lining, criminality, silencing and censorship. Australian institutions, parliaments and parties have been subverted and perverted by Apartheid Israel and its traitorous Zionist agents (for detailed and documented accounts see [78-81]). Just several examples can serve to illustrate this aspect of fraud, corruption and treason by Zionist-beholden Australian MSM ignoring Zionist crimes: (a) PM Kevin Rudd followed the example of the UK in mildly protesting the mass forging of Australian passports and kidnapping of Australians by Apartheid Israel criminals – his attempts to mollify the ferociously angry Zionist Lobby were unsuccessful and just one month later he was removed in a US-backed and pro-Zionist-led coup [64, 65]. (b) Zionist attempts to force Australian universities to adopt the anti-semitic and holocaust-denying IHRA Definition of anti-Semitism had very limited success with Monash and Melbourne Universities notably succumbing to Zionist falsehood (a huge threat to academic student free speech in Australia) – however when the prestigious Adelaide University politely declined, the beautiful and progressive city of Adelaide was defamed by Zionists as “the anti-Semitism capital of Australia” (as reported by the Adelaide Advertiser; as far as I know no Australian MSM or politicians have come to the defence of Adelaide and my protesting letter to the Adelaide Advertiser was not published. (c) Outstanding truth-telling Australian journalists and writers were variously defamed, threatened, pushed out and sacked as a result of Zionist and MSM hysteria over any criticism of Apartheid Israel. Indeed any Australian protesting the genocidally racist subjugation and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians is vilified by the traitorous Zionists, notable examples being Bob Carr (former New South Wales (NSW) Labor State Premier and former Australian Foreign Minister), Melissa Parke (outstanding human rights lawyer and former Federal Labor MP), Shaoquett Chaher Moselmane (former (NSW Labor MP), and Senator Lee Rhiannon (former Greens Senator) [82].
(15). US-owned Australian MSM in particular ignore the existential threat of nuclear weapons and climate change to Humanity and the Biosphere. One of Humanity’s greatest minds Stephen Hawking has succinctly stated the dilemma: “We see great peril if governments and societies do not take action now to render nuclear weapons obsolete and to prevent further climate change” [83]. Australian MSM support the nuclear terrorism of the nuclear-armed US, UK, and France, and fervently support Apartheid Israel that possess 90 nuclear weapons plus delivery systems (according to the Melbourne-founded and Nobel Peace Prize-awarded International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons ( ICAN)) [84]. US-beholden Australian MSM thus support the incineration of billions of humans as a legitimate military strategy – words fail to describe the unspeakable evil of this position. A nuclear winter after a major nuclear exchange would decimate Humanity and the Biosphere. Through Pine Gap and other electronic surveillance facilities Australia is a key element of US nuclear terrorism. The new US lackey Labor Government wants expansion of the US military in northern Australia, including basing nuclear-armed B52 bombers, warships and submarines in Australia. Yet moronic, ignorant and racist Australian MSM approve this nuclear militarization that has already made Australia key nuclear target – in any escalating nuclear conflict Australian targets would be vaporized before any escalation to nuclear bombing of Mainland America. The new US lackey Labor Government (like the US lackey Coalition) rejects the crucial Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) despite the reality that ratification of the TPNW is official Labor Party policy [85]. Australian ratification of the TPNW would prevent any nuclear stance-enhancing military collaboration not just with the UK and the US but also with nuclear terrorist Apartheid Israel with which Zionist- and US-subverted Australia has numerous military links [86].
The explicit climate change denialism and effective climate change denialism through inaction of the Murdoch media are responsible for the “lost decades” of government inaction as Australia now faces a disastrous and ever-worsening future of floods, storms, droughts and uncontrollable forest fires. Indeed early this century “The Australian” flagship newspaper of the US Murdoch media empire ran an article declaring that the world was facing a new Ice Age. Australia is now among world leaders in 16 areas of climate criminality, and Australia’s annual Domestic plus Exported greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution is 5.4% of the world’s total [87-89]. The new Labor Government at least acknowledges the problem but is committed to approving over 100 new coal and gas projects – terracidal lunacy. The Australian MSM (except for pro-environment The Guardian), the Labor Government and the Coalition Opposition are united in the terracidal idiocy of rejecting the key imperative of imposing a damage-related Carbon Price (US$200 per tonne CO2-equivalent) on polluters (the present average globally applied Carbon Price is $2 per tonne CO2-equivalent [64, 90-95]. Unfortunately it is now too late to avoid a catastrophic plus 2C of warming but decent people are obliged to do everything they can to make the future “less bad” for our children, grandchildren and future generations. This fundamental moral imperative of a full Carbon Price is rejected by the climate criminal Australian MSM (except for The Guardian).
(16). Australian MSM have a resolute commitment to blatant lying by omission and lying by commission that corruptly and disastrously serves short-term Establishment interests. Indeed the bigger the lie the more assiduously do the Australian MSM stick to it. Thus the MSM portray Australia as a great international citizen committed to the “rules based order” whereas the shocking reality is the opposite. Thus in the last 80 years (i.e. in living memory) as a UK or US lackey Australia has violated every Indo-Pacific country, variously through war, military occupation, overt or covert regime change [64], and through being among world leaders in 16 areas of climate criminality [87-93].
(17). A final shocking example of Australian MSM lying: Australian MSM ignore horrendous child sexual abuse. Australian MSM reported extensively on the $500 million Royal Commission into Institutional Child Abuse that was confined to institutional abuses (e.g. about 40,000 such cases involving Catholic religious over 40 years). What the MSM ignored was the horrendous degree of child sexual abuse overall in Australia and like countries. In contrast to its declared inability to quantitate the extent of child abuse in Indigenous communities, the “Little Children are Sacred” Report (pp234-236) [96] refers to experts studies in America indicating that 25% of females and 10% of males (an average of 17.5% of adults) experienced childhood sexual abuse in the US [97], and in Australia indicating that 34% of females and 16% of males (an average of 25% of adults or about 4.4 million adults in 2014) experienced child sexual abuse [98]. A related expert study of Jewish and Arab Israeli children found that about 50% suffered abuse with 17% suffering sexual abuse [99-101]. One notes that thanks to MSM and politician lying Australia is second only to the US as a fervent supporter of Apartheid Israel. Expert Australian medical testimony was that child sexual abuse is associated with a circa 10-20 year life expectancy gap [102]. By largely concentrating on institutional child sexual abuse Australian MSM are ignoring all but a few per cent of horrendous child sexual abuse in Australia.
(18). Australian MSM lying and deception necessitated 4 previous detailed Submissions to the Australian National Anti-Corruption Commission. These 4 previous Submissions to the NACC dealt with Australian Labor Government’s lying for Apartheid Israel [57], huge but ignored Australian war crimes [53], corporations and governments corruptly ignoring huge and inescapable Carbon Debt [91], and exposure of huge and fraudulent university fees [103], matters resolutely ignored by variously lying, deceit, fraud, corruption and treason on the part of utterly mendacious Australian MSM.
(19). Australia can be saved from fraudulent MSM in part by (a) publicly exposing and listing MSM falsehoods, and (b) banning foreign MSM ownership. As summarized above Australian MSM are involved in egregious lying by omission, lying by commission, censorship, fraud, corruption and treason. Failure of Australians to deal with this dangerous moral morass will compound the problem. It is bad enough that educated and informed Australians do not have effective free speech because of censorship laws, egregious whistle blower persecution, and MSM gatekeepers, but even worse because a mountain of MSM lying is unaddressed. I would offer 2 suggestions: (1) an uncensored and indexed Internet-based public record correcting public falsehood (this submission is merely a tiny example of what needs to be publicly exposed), and (2) foreign ownership of MSM must be prohibited in the public interest (in 2010 Frank Bainimarama introduced such a law in Fiji that meant that the Murdoch-owned Fiji Times had to be sold to Fiji citizens).
