Zionist UK, US & Australia Attack Anti-Zionist Free Speech: Anti-Zionism Isn’t Anti-Semitism But Pro-Zionism Is

Australia is a craven lackey of the serial war criminal, Zionist-subverted and Zionist-perverted US. Australia is second only to the US as a supporter of genocidal Apartheid Israel, is complicit in the horrific, US- and Apartheid Israel-imposed Gaza Genocide in 20 ways and lies for Apartheid Israel in 35 ways. Now Australian Federal and State governments are threatening the free speech of anti-racist and hence anti-Zionist Australians with draconian custodial penalties.

The greatest contribution of America to Humanity is the First Amendment of the American Constitution that guarantees free speech and other key freedoms: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” [1]. John Milton correctly stated the fundamental importance of free speech for a humane society: “Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties” [2].

Indeed the key imperatives of decent Humanity are Kindness and Truth  and both are crucially underpinned by freedom of expression. John Stuart Mill on suppression of expression of truth: “The real advantage which truth has, consists in this, that when an opinion is true, it may be extinguished once, twice, or many times, but in the course of ages there will generally be found persons to rediscover it, until some one of its reappearances falls on a time when from favorable circumstances it escapes persecution until it has made such head as to withstand all subsequent attempts to suppress it” [3, 4].

Unfortunately Western democracies  have  degenerated into Plutocracies, Kleptocracies, Murdochracies, Lobbyocracies, Dollarocracies and Corporatocracies  in which Big Money purchases public perception of reality, votes and hence more political power and more private profit [5, 6].  This grossly violates the ideal of informed democracies. However They with a capital T  want more, that being the nature of remorseless Capitalism, and seek to constrain and criminalise the free speech  of those decent human beings (DHBs) objecting to the appalling crimes of  genocidally racist and egregiously mendacious Apartheid Israel. Declaring  criticism of Apartheid Israel to be  “anti-Semitism” and  racist “hate speech” punishable by law or other sanctions means that  those  criticizing the genocidal racism of Apartheid Israel and its Zionist supporters are condemned and persecuted as asserted “racists”.  A further powerful  approach involves arbitrary declaration of  particular Arab and Muslim organizations opposed to anti-Arab anti-Semitic Apartheid Israel as assertedly “terrorist” organizations – any expression of support for Arab,  Muslim or other national resistance groups  thus becomes subject to draconian custodial punishment and deadly state violence.

The sheer Orwellian falsehood of this  Zionist-imposed perversion  is well illustrated by the converse reality of global responses to the racist obscenity of Apartheid Israel-backed Apartheid South Africa. After the 1960 Sharpeville Massacre in which 69 Africans were killed the world united with global sanctions against Apartheid South Africa that were ultimately successful  with the fall of Apartheid in South Africa in 1994  [7]. The world lionized Nelson Mandela of the national liberation organization the African National Congress (ANC)  but inside South  Africa supporters of the ANC were violently persecuted as “terrorists”. Outside South Africa those flouting anti-Apartheid Sanctions (even when well-intentioned such as some West Indies cricketers and musician Paul Simon) were roundly condemned. As the saying goes, one person’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter.  Conversely today after 0.6 million Gazans killed by  Apartheid Israel-imposed violence and deprivation in response to 1,139 Israelis killed in the 7 October 2023 Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp [8-12], the Zionist-subverted UK, US and Australia have variously acted to make criticism of Apartheid Israel punishable as asserted “anti-Semitism” and to violently persecute Arab resistance groups as “terrorist organizations”.

That said, I must reiterate my belief in Gandhian non-violence that defeated the world’s third biggest military power (Britain) to secure Indian Independence [7]. Indeed my endless mantra is “Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity”. I certainly recognize the existence of non-state terrorism and its awful atrocities such as the Paris outrage [13]. However I also recognize the far more deadly reality of state terrorism. The most serious crime of jihadi and other non-state terrorists or non-state resistance groups is to commit acts that provoke vastly more deadly state terrorism responses. Indeed state terrorists like US Governments have used “false flag” atrocities as excuses for vastly more deadly state terrorism atrocities. Thus 32 million Muslims died from violence (5 million) and imposed deprivation (27 million) in 20 Muslim countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity that killed 3,000 innocent Americans [7, 13-14].

Outlined below are  how Zionist-perverted UK, US and Australia threaten free speech of their citizens for genocidally racist and nuclear terrorist Apartheid Israel.

United Kingdom.

The UK is a member of the 35-member, all-European  International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) that is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (Islamophobic) by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, non-Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim critics of Apartheid Israel as asserted “anti-Semites”. The IHRA is also egregiously holocaust denying by ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust and indeed ignoring  some 70 genocides and holocausts. Further, the IHRA offers 11 false  examples of “antisemitism” that have been rejected by sensible humanitarians including over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations [15-20].

The racist Zionists wanted the Jeremy Corbyn-led British Labour Party to adopt all of the 11 key elements of the IHRA Definition of Anti-Semitism but honest and anti-racist Labour people could only support some but not all. A detailed analysis shows that all 11 elements were false and should have been rejected [21].  However ignored it seems by everyone except the anti-racist Labourites is that all racism is wrong because we cannot help to whom we were born and by whom we were raised. The profoundly racist  and indeed genocidally racist IHRA is about just 1 ethnically, culturally and morally diverse group (18 million Jews) to the exclusion of .the remaining 8 billion human beings. In the event  the most famous victim of the anti-Semitic and holocaust-denying IHRA was Jeremy Corbyn who was the most anti-racist labour leader ever but was falsely defamed by IHRA proponents and eventually forced out of the Labour Party leadership and indeed the Labour Party  [21-23].

Jewish Voice for Labor  rejected the damaging assertions of anti-Semitism in the Labour Party made by pro-IHRA, pro-Apartheid Israel and hence pro-Apartheid fanatics [24-26]. It should be unequivocally stated that those supporting the vile crime of Apartheid are utterly unfit for decent company, public life and public office in a one-person-one-vote democracy. Before the 7 October 2023 Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp and the subsequent Gaza Massacre (0.6 million killed) [8-12], 7.7 million Indigenous Palestinians represented 51% of the Subjects of Apartheid Israel. However the 5.6 million Occupied Palestinians (73% of the Indigenous Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel) were excluded from all human rights  including the right to vote for the government ruling them, while the 2.1 million Israeli Palestinians were able to vote, albeit as Third Class citizens under race-based, Nazi-style discriminatory laws [27-30].

Neo-Nazi is as neo-Nazi does, and 51 countries by Abstention (including the UK) (49) and No vote (2) refused to support  the UNGA’s 2021 Anti-Nazi Resolution for “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance”.  All of these countries except Japan were European. Excepting Argentina and Israel, the members of the all-European, and US-allied  Zionist IHRA rejected the Resolution [23]. This was no mistake – the UK joined 51 other countries (including neo-Nazi Australia and neo-Nazi America) to vote against the UNGA Anti-Nazi resolution in November 2022 [31].

The racist proponents of the IHRA also targeted British  universities in an atrocious attack on the core academic ethos of freedom of speech. The European Legal Support Center (ELSC) and the  British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES) issued a Report entitled “Freedom of Speech and Academic Freedom in UK Higher Education: The Adverse Impact of the IHRA Definition of Antisemitism” (2023): “We are committed to the struggle against antisemitism and all forms of racism. Antisemitism exists within UK society and incidents of anti-Jewish prejudice occur in higher education institutions, just as in other institutional contexts. Antisemitism must be addressed, and institutions should seek to prevent it. However, universities must do so in a way that does not discriminate directly or indirectly against others or undermine academic freedom and freedom of speech. This report demonstrates that accusations of antisemitism levelled against students and staff in UK universities are often based on a definition of antisemitism that is not fit for purpose and, in practice, is undercutting academic freedom and the rights to lawful speech of students and staff, and causing harm to the reputations and careers of those accused. This report was produced by the European Legal Support Center (ELSC) and the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES), Europe’s leading scholarly association concerned with the study of the Middle East and North Africa. The report is based on an analysis of 40 cases that were reported to the ELSC and in which UK university staff and/or students were accused of antisemitism on the basis of the ‘IHRA working definition of antisemitism’ (‘IHRA definition’), between 2017 and 2022. In all instances, except for two ongoing cases,  the accusations of antisemitism were rejected. The final two have yet to be substantiated. On the basis of these findings, this report recommends against the adoption and use of the IHRA definition in a higher education setting. However it is beyond the remit of the report to suggest alternative definitions while the Human Rights Act of 1998 and the 2010 Equality Act provide the necessary legal tools to combat antisemitism and hate speech more generally” [32].

Haroon Siddique (The Guardian, 2023):“The IHRA definition has been adopted by a majority of universities, with the former education secretary Gavin Williamson in 2020 threatening them with funding cuts if they failed to do so. But critics have said the definition, which has no legal effect in the UK and includes 11 illustrative examples – seven of which relate to Israel – stifles criticism of Israel and has a chilling effect on free speech… The [ELSC-BRISMES] report… echoes criticisms previously voiced by the leading lawyers Hugh Tomlinson KC and Geoffrey Robertson KC, and the retired lord justices of appeal Sir Stephen Sedley and Sir Anthony Hooper” [33].

The free speech of the  decent and humane British Left came under attack not just from the Zionist IHRA but also from draconian anti-terrorism laws brought in by British state terrorism. Thus by way of example, anti-racist Jewish British activist Tony Greenstein was a founder member of the UK  Palestine Solidarity Campaign and ran the Labour Movement Campaign for Palestine. He was expelled from the Zionist-perverted Labour Party  in 2018 for supporting Palestinian human rights and in 2023 was given a suspended prison sentence for an action against  Elbit Systems, Apartheid Israel’s  biggest weapons company and deeply involved in the Palestinian Genocide and the horrific  Gaza Genocide. In 2024 Greenstein was charged with a terrorism offence under Section 12(1) of the UK  Terrorism Act 2000. Greenstein was accused of allegedly supporting the UK-proscribed group Hamas in a tweet. Tony Greenstein: “Many Jews who are vocally critical of Israel and its war on Gaza are either ignored and erased by the media and the political classes or, as in my case, subjected to bogus prosecutions and persecution. The same is true in Germany where anti-Zionist Jews are subjected to state repression because they don’t play along with the narrative that Israel is the embodiment of what it means to be Jewish” [34-37].

United States of America.

Despite the First Amendment guaranteeing free speech, the successive US Biden/Harris and Trump/Vance Administrations have promoted violent and lawfare  actions against the young American students protesting the Gaza Genocide. The core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth but this is grossly violated by US war crimes and American lying about them. The US has invaded 72 countries (52 since WW2), has committed 469 invasions from 1798 onwards, committed 251 invasions since 1991, and has 800 military bases in over 70 countries [7, 38-43]. It is estimated that 40 million Asians died from violence and imposed deprivation in 1950 onwards US Asian Wars (my country, US lackey Australia, was involved in all of these atrocities) [7, 44-48]. However the foundational American lie was that the American Revolution was about freedom, liberty and human rights whereas it was actually about being free to invade and ethnically cleanse Indian lands to the west of the 13 colonies (in the 1840s Indigenous  Peoples were finally completely removed from east of the Mississippi) [7].  

As famed US writer Gore Vidal has stated: “Unlike most Americans who lie all the time, I hate lying. And here I am surrounded with these hills [in Hollywood] full of liars — some very talented… Americans are not interested in the truth about anything. They assume everybody is lying because they go out and lie everyday about the automobile they are trying to sell you…This is a country of hoax. P.T. Barnum is the god of this republic, which is no longer a republic alas. It is an oligarchy and a rather vicious one” [4]. Indeed slave owner Thomas Jefferson, American Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776), and who penned “All men are created equal and have an inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”,  also observed that “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent” [4].

In 2015 it was estimated that 32 million Muslims had been killed by violence, 5 million, and imposed deprivation, 27 million, in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity that killed 3,000 innocent Americans [49, 50].  The Western Mainstream media, including the Australian Mainstream media, have an appallingly consistent record of ignoring (lying about) deaths in war due to imposed deprivation. Thus according to the Brown University Cost of War project deaths from violence and imposed deprivation total 4.7 million for the Iraq plus Afghan wars [51] and my estimate is 9.5 million [52-60]. However Western Mainstream media report that deaths in these wars total about 0.6 million [61-64], with the Australian ABC reporting on the occasion of the US withdrawal from Iraq (2011): “The withdrawal ends a war that left tens of thousands of Iraqis and nearly 4,500 American soldiers dead” [62]. “Terror hysteria” has dominated America since 9/11 and has been associated with erosion of American human rights and civil rights excused by asserted “national security” imperatives.

The  7 October 2023 Palestinian Breakout from the 57-year duration  Gaza Concentration Camp was immediately reported by Zionist-perverted American and thence Zionist-perverted and US lackey Western politician and media  as egregious and assertedly “genocidal” “terrorism” and “antisemitism”. The reality as perceived by some eminent, truth-telling and  prize-winning Western journalists was otherwise, an Apartheid Israeli false flag to permit total ethnic cleansing of Gaza: (1) the Israelis and Americans were aware of the Breakout plans a year in advance, (2) the IDF massively withdrew forces from near Gaza just before the Breakout, (3) the IDF ignored  desperate reports from its own observers, (4) the IDF  deliberately delayed its response by half a day, (5)  the Gaza Concentration Camp was hermetically sealed by a double-layer, state of the art barrier and surveillance system, (6)  many and possibly most of the 1,139 Israelis killed were slaughtered by the high explosive tank shells and Hell Fire missiles of the responding IDF, (7) the IDF killed many Israelis by applying its “Hannibal Directive” (do everything to prevent hostage taking, including killing the hostages), and (8) the Zionist Israelis busily buried the massive evidence of the indiscriminate IDF response [65-68].

The fundamental Orwellian falsehood purveyed by Apartheid Israel, Zionist-perverted America and the West is that Occupied Palestinians were the aggressors whereas the opposite is true.  The West has correctly identified Russia as the war criminal aggressor  in its illegal (albeit US provoked) invasion of Ukraine but falsely describes Occupied Palestinians as the aggressors on 7 October 2023 [69]. The Occupied Palestinians have been brutally and illegally occupied by genocidally racist Apartheid Israel since 1967 [7]. Indeed the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has determined that the Occupation is illegal and must end [70-74] and most countries in the world agreed to the December 2024 UNGA Resolution to that effect (158 Yes (including UK, Canada, Australia and most of the EU), 9 No (including United States, Israel, Argentina, Hungary, Czechia), 13 Abstained (Including Ukraine, Slovakia, Cameroon, Georgia, Albania) [75].

As pointed out by Francesca Albanese, subjugated Occupied People have the right to rebel (according to the Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 51 of the UN Charter) but the  war criminal Occupiers have no right to defend themselves in a belligerently occupied territory: “Francesca Albanese (eminent human rights lawyer and UN Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territory): “[Israel is] claiming a non-existent right to self-defence… But the law remains the law and this is what we should follow. So, the right of self-defence can be invoked when a state is threatened by another state which is not the case. Israel has not claimed that it has been threatened by another state. It is being threatened by an armed group (qualify this as you will) by an armed group within the Occupied Territory. And frankly, even saying the war between Gaza and Israel is wrong because Gaza is not a stand alone entity but is part of the Occupied Territory. That so, in particular Israel cannot claim the right of self-defence against a threat that emanates from the territory it occupies, from a territory that is kept under belligerent occupation” [76, 77].

On a bipartisan basis, Zionist-subverted and Zionist-perverted America provided 85,000 tons of bombs to destroy ancient and culturally important  Gaza and kill about 553,000 Gazans (23% of the pre-war Gaza population) by 20 January 2025, this including 393,000 children, 51,000 women and 113,000 men [8-12]. Child-killing geriatric Genocide Joe Biden and his VP Kid Killing Kamala (KKK) Harris were  punished electorally (as indeed I recommended [78, 79]) but have yet to face the International Criminal Court (ICC), noting that serial war criminal America and Apartheid Israel reject the authority of the ICC .

Pro-Palestinian protests on American university campuses escalated in April 2024 after  mass arrests at the Columbia University campus occupation in which protesters demanded the university’s disinvestment from Apartheid Israel over the horrific  Gaza Genocide. Over 3,100 protesters were arrested in America, these  including students, faculty members and professors on over 60 campuses [80, 81]. The new Trump Administration has weaponized asserted “terrorism” and “antisemitism” and is now targeting vulnerable non-citizens. Thus 5 non-European students and academics at US universities have so far been targeted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials as part of a Trump campaign  to punish noncitizens over their support of sorely-oppressed Palestine [82]. These includeYunseo Chung (Korean, Columbia student and legal permanent resident), Momodou Taal, (Cornell University student, UK and Gambia citizen), and Mahmoud Khalil (a former Columbia graduate student,  a Palestinian activist who led on-campus protests, has an 8 month pregnant wife, has  a valid visa, was among the first student activists to be detained, and  is being held in a Louisiana detention center) [82].

The persecution of pro-Palestinian human rights students and academics in Zionist-perverted America pre-dates  the present Gaza Massacre. Thus I wrote in defence of African-Americaan academic  Joy Karega who was suspended by Oberlin College for anti-Zionist views. Oberlin College, one of the first US colleges to have admitted Blacks, Women, Jews and Catholics, gave in to pressure from the genocidally racist  Zionist Lobby and suspended female African-American academic Dr Joy Karega, assistant professor of Rhetoric and Composition, who was falsely defamed as an  anti-Semite and vilified for opposing corporate control of government, Israeli Gaza massacres and war, for expressing support for Palestinian human rights, and for scepticism over official US claims about  9-11 and terrorism [83]. I should note that my uncle George Lanyi  was a professor at Oberlin College. The most notorious case of persecution of a pro-Palestinian human rights academic was that of world-famous Jewish American scholar Professor Norman Finkelstein who was forced out  by DePaul University for his humane pro-Palestinian human rights views [84]. This is all personally very sad for me. My Indian wife and I worked for several years at Cornell University (1969-1971) and we simply loved the civilized, liberal, informed and progressive culture of American universities – the very best of America just as anti-racist Jews are the very best of Jews. The genocidally racist, greed-driven, and anti-science Trumpist barbarians are now in charge of America and anything goes. .

Australia.

Australia has been a craven US lackey for 84 years. America has been progressively perverted by racist  Zionists since Apartheid Israeli acquisition of nuclear weapons with US, UK and French assistance by the mid-1960s. Indeed Israeli Brigadier General Itzhak Yaakov was punished  for revealing the Israeli intention to set off a “demonstration” nuclear bomb if the war it launched in 1967 did not go as planned [85, 86]. Australia is second only to the US as a fervent supporter of Apartheid Israel with the Zionist-perverted UK coming a close third.

Australia has an excellent compulsory and preferential voting system (for a valid vote preference for all candidates must be numerically recorded. and second preferences are considered if a candidate fails to get 50% or more of the primary vote). Presently the primary (number 1) vote is roughly 30% (Labor), 40% (Liberal Party-National Party Coalition), 10% (Greens), 10% (climate-concerned but conservative Teal Independents ), and 10% (other Independents). Labor is presently in government and was elected with preferences from the Greens and some Independents. The now far-right Coalition is in Opposition.

Labor, the Coalition and most Independents fervently support Apartheid Israel, and ferociously condemn the Palestinian  Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp. Thus, as of 13 May 2024 (Day 220 since the Palestinian Breakout from the Gaza Concentration Camp on 7 October 2023, and considering some 8,000 buried under the rubble),  Palestinians  violently killed by genocidal Jewish Israelis  in Gaza totalled 43,640 including 39,675 civilians, 15,971 children, and 10,382 women, with 81,560 injured [87]. Epidemiological experts estimated that Gaza deaths from imposed deprivation exceed violent deaths by a factor of 4 and thus deaths from violence and imposed deprivation would have totalled about 218,000 by mid-May 2024 [7-12].

In the face of this horrific and ongoing atrocity, as of mid-May 2024, after over 7 months of mass murder of Indigenous Palestinians in Gaza  by genocidally racist and Nazi-style Jewish Israelis, the only Australian MPs to have voted in Federal Parliament for an immediate and permanent Ceasefire were 15 Greens, ex-Green Senator Lidia Thorpe, and Independents Dr Helen Haines and Andrew Wilkie – a mere 18 out of a total of 227 Federal MPs (76 Senators and 151 Members of the House of Representatives) [88, 89]. However in mid-May 2024 Labor Senator Fatima Payman courageously came out, breaking ranks with her Labor colleagues and cogently condemning the ongoing, Jewish Israeli-imposed  Gaza Genocide, Occupation and gross denial of Palestinian human rights [90-93]. Senator Fatima Payman’s courageous action means that there are now 19 existing MPs that decent, anti-racist Australian voters can vote 1 for in future elections.

Labor ostensibly stands for the workers and the less well-off segments of society but is conscious of backlash against its cowardly and immoral support for genocidal Apartheid Israel from Arab, Muslim and young voters in traditional working class electorates. Accordingly Labor  finally voted Yes to a December 2024 UNGA Resolution demanding an immediate Ceasefire and an immediate end to the illegal Apartheid Israeli Occupation [94]. It was immediately  condemned  by child-killing war criminal Netanyahu as “antisemitism” and connecting to the firebombing of a non-Zionist Orthodox Jewish Melbourne synagogue by persons unknown (and indeed quite possibly Australian, Israeli or dual citizen Zionists): “Unfortunately, it is impossible to separate this reprehensible act from the extreme anti-Israeli position of the Labor government in Australia” and “Anti-Israel sentiment is antisemitism” [95].  

The synagogue bombing was followed by an arson attack in Sydney in the same suburb as a synagogue, the burning of cars,  assertedly “antisemitic “ graffiti and the discovery of a caravan containing explosives and a written reference to Jewish targets. The lead to “antisemitism hysteria” and “terrorism hysteria” by State and Federal Labor Governments and Coalition Oppositions and rapid passage of draconian, human rights-violating  New South Wales (NSW) and Federal legislation described thus by the Australian Human Rights Commission : “The Australian Government and NSW Government recently updated their hate crime laws… Mandatory minimum sentences: The new [National] laws increase the maximum penalties for the offences relating to the display of Nazi symbols, the Nazi salute and prohibited terrorist organisation symbols from one year to five years, and impose mandatory minimum sentences of 12 months’ imprisonment for these offences [including asserted antisemitism] . They also impose mandatory minimum sentences for certain terrorism-related offences ranging from one to six years… By Friday, 21 February 2025, the NSW Government passed a package of tougher hate crime laws in response to the recent [alleged] escalation of violent antisemitism in NSW…  New offences have been enacted for intentionally blocking a person from accessing or leaving places of worship without reasonable excuse, and for harassing, intimidating or threatening people accessing or leaving these places, with a maximum penalty of two years. The NSW Government has also enacted a new criminal offence for intentionally and publicly inciting racial hatred, with a maximum penalty of two years’ imprisonment, fines of up to $11,000, or both, and with fines of $55,000 for corporations. This offence will be automatically repealed after 3 years”[96].The NSW police subsequently found that the caravan with explosives was a “con” by organized crime and several people arrested for alleged “antisemitism” elsewhere had nothing to do with antisemitism.

The Labor Government of the State of Victoria (Australia’s second largest state after NSW) has proposed an Anti-vilification and Social Cohesion Bill that threatens free speech as follows:“195N Incitement on ground of protected attribute. (1) A person commits an offence if— (a) the person engages in conduct that is likely to incite hatred against, serious contempt for, revulsion towards or severe ridicule of, another person or a group of persons; and (b) the person engages in the conduct on the ground of a protected attribute of the other person or the group; and (c) the person either—(i) intends that conduct to incite hatred against, serious contempt for, revulsion towards or severe ridicule of, the other person or the group; or (ii) believes that conduct will probably incite hatred against, serious contempt for, revulsion towards or severe ridicule of, the other person or the group”. (2) A person who commits an offence against subsection (1) is liable to 3 years imprisonment. (3) For the purposes of subsection (1), the conduct may be constituted by a single occasion or by a number of occasions over a period of time. (4) It is a defence to a charge for an offence against subsection (1) if the accused engaged in the conduct for a genuine political purpose” [97].

The Victorian Labor Government has gone in for “antisemitism hysteria” in a big way and also proposes draconian measures to constrain public protests against the Palestinian Genocide [98]. For whatever reasons, the weekly protests against the Gaza Genocide in Melbourne (I have attended most of them) have now become monthly despite  US-backed Apartheid Israel now moving inexorably to the total ethnic cleansing of Gaza. 

I wrote the following protesting Letter to Australian media: “On 19/3/25 I attended a multi-organization Rally at Parliament House against the Victorian Labor Government’s  attack on free speech and decency via Victoria’s [proposed] anti-semitic Anti-vilification and Social Cohesion Bill that seriously threatens anti-racist Jews, non-Jews, Arabs and Muslims opposed to the Palestinian Genocide. I wore my T-shirt stating (white on black) “JEWS for a FREE PALESTINE” that  endlessly garners support in public from total strangers (nearly all women). I am also strengthened by the stance of the anti-racist Jewish Council of Australia, the 520 Jewish Australians who signed an Open Letter saying “Jewish Australians say NO to ethnic cleansing”, and the 3-millennial Jewish humanitarian tradition. The Palestinians are a Semitic people with a 4 millennium, Humanity-transforming culture but are subject to sustained genocide by overwhelmingly non-Semitic Ashkenazi Jewish and Christian Zionists. There are 2 kinds of Australians, those opposing the mass murder of children, mothers, women and men in Gaza and the unforgivable others that include pro-Zionist Federal and State Labor and Coalition MPs and like-minded Independents. Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism but pro-Zionism is. Decent, anti-racist Australian voters will put the anti-genocide Greens and like-minded candidates topmost, put the Zionist-perverted, ICC-rejecting Coalition last, and  Israel-perverted Labor in between” . My Letter was not published by these Australian  media but has been published as part of a huge record of what Australian Mainstream media don’t want their readers to see, know about and think about  [99, 100].

Instead of condemnation of  the Gaza Genocide and indeed protection of  Australians from dangerous and traitorous Zionists, cowardly and Zionist-perverted Labor Governments backed by Zionist-perverted and fervently pro-Apartheid Israel Coalition Oppositions  are hell-bent on supporting Apartheid Israel and its utterly evil Gaza Genocide. Zionists excluded Occupied Palestinians from all human rights and now represent a huge threat to the human rights and values of Australians as illustrated below:

(a). Australian rejection of the ICC and International Law for war criminal and genocidal Apartheid Israel. The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for child-killing, Jewish Israeli  war criminals Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant. However the US and Apartheid Israel  reject the ICC’s authority  and Apartheid Israeli PM has stated “Anti-Israel  sentiment is antisemitism”:   “The burning of the Adass Israel synagogue in Melbourne is an abhorrent act of antisemitism. I expect the state authorities to use their full weight to prevent such antisemitic acts in the future. Unfortunately, it is impossible to separate this reprehensible act from the extreme anti-Israeli position of the Labor government in Australia, including the scandalous decision to support the UN resolution calling on Israel “to bring an end to its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, as rapidly as possible”, and preventing a former Israeli minister from entering the country. Anti-Israel sentiment is antisemitism” [102]. Labor Foreign Minister Penny Wong responded: “It is not antisemitic to expect that Israel should comply with the international law that applies to all countries. Nor is it antisemitic to call for children and other civilians to be protected, or to call for a two-state solution that enables Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security” [103]. She was promptly attacked by Zionists and the pro-Zionist Coalition Opposition Leader Peter Dutton: “The Jewish community is completely (and) utterly bewildered and Australians of good faith are bewildered as well that their Prime Minister doesn’t have the ability or the wit to stand up for what is in our country’s best interest and to stand shoulder to should with our allies including the United States to condemn an obvious anti-Semitic act by the ICC. The ICC should reverse their decision and the Prime Minister should come out today to call for that instead of continuing to remain in hiding or continuing to dig a deep hole for himself” [104]. PM Albanese wouldn’t comment: “I don’t comment on court proceedings” [105].

 (b). Australian criminal complicity in genocide for genocidally racist Apartheid Israel. Article 3 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (the Genocide Convention) states “The following acts shall be punishable… (e) Complicity in genocide” [106]. The Australian Labor Government and the even more vile Coalition Opposition are complicit in the Gaza Genocide in 20 ways [107] and lie for Apartheid Israel in 35 ways [108-110]. In response to the genocidal Trump scheme to totally ethnically cleanse Gaza of its Indigenous Semitic inhabitants, Coalition leader Peter Dutton praised war criminal Trump as a “big thinker” whereas Labor PM Anthony Albanese was too scared of any backlash to comment [111].

 (c). Australia joined the anti-Semitic and holocaust-denying all-European International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). Australia joined the IHRA and thus adopted the false, racist and defamatory International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Definition of anti-Semitism that is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and  anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jews, Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims critical of Apartheid Israeli crimes as “anti-semites”) and comprehensively  genocide-ignoring and holocaust-ignoring (by ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust, and indeed ignoring some 70 genocides and holocausts) [15-20].

(d). Australia’s 39 taxpayer-funded universities have endorsed a highly controversial new definition of antisemitism that threatens academic and student free speech. This flawed definition was drafted by leaders from the Group of Eight (GoE), Australia’s top  universities, and is expected to be enforced on all campuses. It is likely that the several  private Australian universities will follow suit. This despicable Action threatens the free speech of academics and students that is the core ethos of decent universities [112-116]. 

(e). The Zionist Labor and Coalition have weaponized “antisemitism” and “terrorism” to hide the horrific Gaza Genocide while smearing anti-racist Jews and Muslims. The Zionist-subverted Labor and the Zionist-perverted Coalition  used “antisemitism hysteria” and “terrorism hysteria” to pass draconian laws impacting freedom of speech and public protests over the Gaza Genocide. In the process they have hidden the sheer enormity of the Gaza Genocide: about 553,000 Gazans killed by violence and deprivation by 20 January 2025 (23% of the pre-war Gaza population), this including 393,000 children, 51,000 women and 113,000 men [8-12]. By falsely conflating the unforgivable crimes of Apartheid Israel  with all Jews they have falsely defamed anti-racist Jews opposed to Jewish Israeli war crimes (egregious anti-Jewish anti-Semitism). By weaponizing “antisemitism” and “terrorism” Labor, Coalition and Zionists have falsely defamed  anti-racist Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims protesting Apartheid Israeli crimes (anti-Arab anti-Semitism). Sarah Schwartz (Executive Officer of the anti-racist Jewish Council of Australia): “At a time when the International Court of Justice has found a plausible case that Israel is committing genocide, the weaponisation of false antisemitism accusations and Holocaust memory – by saying ‘Never Again is Now’ – to be directly lobbying for Israel is particularly egregious” [117].  Anti-Semite used to describe people who hated Jews, but now is used to defame people Zionist Jews hate [118].

 (f). Mainstream Australia-backed Zionist “anti-semitism hysteria” and “terrorism hysteria” hide huge Zionist- and US-backed non-state and state Islamophobia. Table 1 of the 2024 Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) Report on anti-Semitism in Australia gives the following breakdown of the anti-Semitic incidents in 1 year: physical assault (65), vandalism (29), verbal abuse (622), message (283), graffiti (393), posters, stickers etc (670) (page 4  [120]).The report gives scores of examples of asserted anti-semitism. However of 75 examples given of assertedly “antisemitic” graffiti, posters and stickers , I adjudge 58 or 77% to be simply “fair comment”.

In stark contrast , each year about 96,000 Australian women suffer domestic violence, 18,000 women are rendered homeless by domestic violence and 46 are killed. Australia commits $88 per person per year to protect Australian women (96,000 physically or sexually assaulted and  46 killed each year) versus $784  per person per year  to protect Jewish Australians (65 assaulted and none killed each year) [101]. Islamophobia has been rampant in Australia since the Zionist-perverted US Government’s 9/11 false flag atrocity [13, 14] with 930 incidents reported by the Islamophobia register in the period 2014-2021 [121].  Muslim women are readily identifiable because of the hijab and are consequently particularly vulnerable to cowardly attacks. Of course the most horrible instance of Islamophobia in Australasia was the 2019 murder of 51 Muslims in 2 Christchurch, New Zealand, mosques by an Islamophobic Australian fanatic. By way of wider context, the number of people killed by violence and deprivation in the Zionist-backed genocides in the 21st century are 0.6 million (2023 onwards Gaza Genocide) [8-12], 32 million (2001 onwards Muslim Genocide and Muslim Holocaust) [7, 13, 121- 125],  5 million (1990-2011 Iraqi Genocide and Iraqi Holocaust) [53, 126-128], and 7 million (2001-2021 Afghan Genocide and Afghan Holocaust) [56, 129]. Australia has been involved in all 1950 onwards US Asian wars, atrocities that have been associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence and imposed deprivation – the Coalition supported all these wars but Labor supported all except the Vietnam War and the Iraq War [7].

(g). Zionist-perverted, anti-Arab anti-Semitic and anti-Jewish anti-Semitic Labor and Coalition are violating Australian human rights for genocidal Apartheid Israel by censorship, prosecution  and intimidation.  Horrible examples can be given:  (1)  a pro-Palestinian  human rights Arab Australian businessman was successfully prosecuted for changing the blue Star of David of the Israeli flag into a blue swastika (contrition meant that he escaped huge fines and imprisonment)); (2) a Sydney woman is facing a mandatory 6 years in prison for allegedly “supporting terrorism” in commenting about  a national resistance group;  (3) hysterical Zionist and pro-Zionist description of legitimate views ( e.g. “from the river  to the sea Palestine will be free” and  “Zionism is terrorism” ) as “hate speech” deserving a mandatory 2 years’ imprisonment; (4)  an Arab Palestinian businessman having suffered the firebombing of one of his food businesses, threats and firebombing of his home is being prosecuted and facing jail time over describing Zionism as terrorism.

(h). Silence and censorship by Zionist-perverted US, UK, Western and Australian Mainstream media (MSM) has permitted the ongoing Gaza Genocide – silence is complicity. I sent the following carefully researched Letters of protest about the Gaza Genocide to major Mainstream Australian media . However they were not published by the Australian MSM but were variously published elsewhere [99, 100, 130]:

27 March 2025. World silence permits the Gaza Genocide – Apartheid Israel leads world in killing journalists. Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reports 1,671 journalists killed worldwide in the 32 year period 1993-2025 for which the average world population was 6,800 million, this indicating “0.0077 journalists killed per year per million of population”. The anti-racist Jewish American web magazine Mondoweiss reported (25/3/2025): “Hossam Shabat and Mohammad Mansour were the latest Palestinian journalists to be assassinated in Gaza. Responsibility for their killings rests in part on their Western colleagues who have failed to accurately cover Israel’s genocidal assault… Since October 2023, at least 208 Palestinian journalists have been killed by Israeli forces… it is a systematic campaign to eliminate witnesses”. The average population of Gaza in the 1.46 year period of 7 October 2023- 25 March 2025 was 2.4 million (pre-war) + 1.7 million (now, according to Trump) /2 = 2.05 million, this indicating “69.5 journalists killed per year per million of population”,  9,026 times greater than the world average. A scientist and prolific humanitarian writer, I have been rendered invisible in Australia by Zionist defamation, but I am proud that I have defended (necessarily overseas) some 40 humanitarian and variously eminent and maltreated Australian truth-tellers. World silence permits the Gaza Genocide. Silence is complicity.

26 March 2025. Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism but pro-Zionism surely is. The Caulfield, Melbourne franchise of Semitic Palestinian Australian Hash Tayeh’s Burgertory burger chain was gutted by arson in November 2023 in what police said was not a hate crime. 2 alleged perpetrators were arrested and stated that they were paid $20,000. In April 2024 Tayeh’s home was fire-bombed and he moved his family into a safe house. In July 2024 Tayeh was threatened by police, has now been charged with allegedly using insulting words about Zionists being terrorists, and faces imprisonment. Conversely, in December 2024 the non-Zionist Orthodox Jewish Adass Synagogue in Melbourne was damaged by arson. The perpetrators (possibly Zionists) have not been caught but this atrocity was exploited by pro-Zionist MPs to mount terrorism hysteria and antisemitism hysteria and pass draconian anti-free speech legislation impacting all Australians. In the 2025 Federal  Budget $30 million was allotted to repair of the synagogue. Huge minimization of deaths in the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million according to eminent Jewish British historian Professor Martin Gilbert of Oxford) is subject to custodial punishment in some Western European countries and Apartheid Israel. In Australia it could conceivably be punished by a mandatory 2 years’ imprisonment as “anti-Semitic hate speech”. I hasten to opine as an anti-racist, Ashkenazi Jewish libertarian that the only punishment for such falsehood should be the ignominy of authoritative public exposure. There have been 0.6 million Gaza deaths from violence and deprivation by 20 January 2025 as estimated from reports by expert epidemiologists in the leading medical journal The Lancet. The Zionist perpetrators  were mostly non-Semitic Ashkenazi Jewish Israelis, but their Palestinian victims are Semitic. 24 March 2025. In evil reality pro-Zionism is genocidal anti-Semitism. A Jewish Holocaust-impacted, anti-racist,  Ashkenazi Jewish Australian scientist and humanitarian activist, I have attended most of the weekly Melbourne Sunday Rallies for Gaza with a highly visible 2-sided placard that includes the vital message “World: Stop Palestinian Genocide”.  The New York Jewish newspaper The Algemeiner recently published a photo of Melbourne protesters including  me and my placard, albeit with a false, defamatory and dangerous description that it refuses to retract and that if accepted by an Australian court would subject me and fellow protesters to 2 to  6 years of mandatory imprisonment under recent Labor- and Coalition-backed Federal legislation. Lying by omission is far worse than lying by commission. 80 years ago US-born German citizen William Joyce (“Lord Haw Haw” to Allied soldiers) was arrested by the British, tried for treason and hanged the following year for broadcasting propaganda for Nazi Germany. We should ponder how to expose, arraign and punish Australians who lie for foreign states inimical to  Australia like the Zionist-perverted US, the Zionist-subverted UK and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel. These cowardly and traitorous media, politician and commentariat presstitutes  ignore the Australian-complicit, US- and UK-backed 1975 coup that removed the Whitlam Labor Government as reported by the late great Australian journalist John Pilger. 22 March 2025. Peace the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity. Humane Australian writer and appalled observer Mary Gilmore reported “The destruction of at least half a million blacks” in the Australian Aboriginal Genocide and horrible atrocities by literally and metaphorically blood-stained settlers. According to the polls, in  2025 it seems that most Australian voters will enter a voting booth and secretly vote for Gaza Genocide-complicit politicians –  and then innocently emerge to eat a “democracy sausage”. One recalls the Flanders and Swann song about “The reluctant cannibal” who declares: “I won’t eat people… Eating people is wrong”. Killing people is wrong  and mass murder of children, women and men egregiously so. Reported by some Western Mainstream media, expert epidemiologists have reported in the leading medical journal The Lancet their estimate that 67,260 Gazans were killed violently in 9 months (i.e. 110,000 killed by 20 January 2025 and mostly women and children). Dr Randa Abdel-Fattah is a courageous, pro-Palestinian human rights, Australian academic whose $870,000 ARC Research Grant has been suspended in deference to Zionists who fervently support Australia-violating and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel. She has stated: “May 2025 be the end of Israel. May it be the end of the US-Israeli imperial scourge on humanity… May every baby slaughtered in Zionism’s genocide haunt you who openly support or acquiesce through your gutless silence.” How many babies slaughtered? Expert epidemiologists and statisticians in the leading medical journal The Lancet estimate 110,000 violent Gaza deaths by the 20 January 2025 Ceasefire, but also note that 4 times that number (i.e. 440,000) may have died indirectly from imposed deprivation.  Final comments and conclusions

The Western world must reject its subversion and perversion by genocidally racist and egregiously mendacious Zionism and its consequent complicity in the 57-year Jewish Israeli-imposed Occupation and Apartheid, the 1.5-year Gaza Genocide (0.6 million Gazans killed by violence and deprivation) and the century-long Palestinian Genocide (2.7 million Palestinians  killed by violence, 0.2 million, and imposed deprivation, 2.5 million), a death toll  that is now of the same order of magnitude  as the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed by the Nazis through violence and imposed deprivation). 

I published a huge book in 2024, Gideon Polya, “Free Palestine. End Apartheid Israel, Human Rights Denial, Gaza Massacre, Child Killing, Occupation and Palestinian Genocide” [131]. “All people are created equal and have an inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. However for 57 years Apartheid Israel, racist Zionists and their racist supporters  have denied Occupied Palestinians this basic right and indeed all the human rights set out in the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The sub-title of my huge book summarizes 6 key things that need to be done to “Free Palestine” but of these the most crucial and most easily achievable is “End… Human Rights Denial” that can happen tomorrow at the stroke of a pen. Unfortunately the genocidally racist Zionists simply won’t agree to this  – they want all of Palestine plus territory of its neighbours between the Nile and the Euphrates, but not the Indigenous Semitic inhabitants. However the World must immediately insist on immediate granting of all human rights to the  Occupied Palestinians and in the absence of such a fundamental  act the imposition of rigorous Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) on Apartheid Israel and all people, politicians, parties , collectives, companies and countries supporting  this genocidal Zionazi state (notably the US, UK and Australia and the EU).  

There are elections in Australia on 3 May 2025.  For decent Australians the number 1 issue must be the 0.6 million-victim Gaza Genocide in which Australia is complicit in 20 ways [107]. The Australia Palestine Advocacy Network (APAN) has advanced a  “Peoples Pledge for Palestine” that is a statement that voters can sign and send to their local candidates and which says in part: “I will vote for a party or candidate that commits to: End Australia’s complicity – Stop military ties, trade and political support for Israel’s genocide, occupation and apartheid. Hold Israel accountable – Push for sanctions and real consequences for violations of international law. Defend freedom of political expression – Oppose the crackdown on free speech, advocacy and solidarity with Palestine. Stand for justice – Support Palestinian self-determination and demand meaningful political change” [132]. Likewise Professor Stuart Rees (founder of the Sydney Peace Prize), recipient of the Jerusalem Al Quds Peace Prize and author of “Cruelty or Humanity” [133, 134])  and his fellow humanitarians ask Australians to “Vote for Humanity” [135].
