The Australian Labor Government will punish display of the Nazi swastika with lengthy imprisonment and huge fines, attempting to obscure its appalling neo-Nazi-style conduct in 6 key areas notably (1) voting No for the UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution, (2) fervently backing the anti-Semitic IHRA, (3) fervently supporting neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence neo-Nazi Apartheid, (4) funding the ongoing Palestinian Genocide, (5) no sorry for war crimes, and (6) terracidal nuclear and climate policies.
By way of key background, under a new Labor Government Australia remains a craven lackey of Zionist-subverted and Zionist-perverted America and second only to the US as a supporter of neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence of the neo-Nazi crime of Apartheid that is condemned by the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid [1-4]. Over the last century racist White Australia’s fervent support for race-based and racist colonization of Palestine has come not just from the deeply racist conservative Right and Far Right (the present Liberal Party-National Party Coalition that is currently in Opposition) but also from the ostensibly pro-worker but deeply racist, neoliberal and Centre-Right Australian Labor Party (presently in Government).
Iconic Australian Labor figure Dr Herbert Vere Evatt (later Labor Opposition leader, 1951-1960) played a key role as President of the UN General Assembly in the creation of the race-based State of Israel over most of Palestine in 1948 to the effective exclusion of the Indigenous Palestinians [5] and indeed with Zionist seizure of 78% of Palestine and expulsion of 800,000 Palestinians (about 60% of the Indigenous Palestinian population) in the Nakba or Catastrophe [6-8]. 75 years on, a deeply racist and anti-Arab anti-Semitic Australian Labor Government still refuses to recognize a State of Palestine even though this is now the policy of the Australian Labor Party, and betrays Palestinian human rights and Humanity in an extraordinary 85 ways [9-11].
The neo-Nazi and genocidal racists running Apartheid Israel have gone from bad to worse over the last 75 years, supporting neo-Nazi Apartheid South Africa to the extent of enabling it to obtain nuclear weapons [12]. Indeed Zionism is genocidal racism and Nazism without gas chambers but presently with one of the world’s leading high technology militaries and with 90 nuclear warheads [13, 14]. The cruel and genocidal oppression of the Indigenous Palestinians by nuclear terrorist, racist Zionist-run and genocidally racist Apartheid Israel invites comparison with the cruelties of Nazi Germany. (A). Terminological inexactitude and application of the descriptive “Nazi”, “neo-Nazi” and “fascist” to corporate-backed, racist, extremist, authoritarian, human rights-violating and violent regimes and countries.
The precise use of words matters. Thus, for example, the British abolished slavery in the British Empire in 1833 but replaced it with “indentured labourers” who escaped deadly poverty in India or China by signing up for stints as “5 year slaves” at minimal pay in highly abusive working conditions in tropical plantations. Transport by ship was associated with massive mortality. Indeed all of the grandparents of my dear late wife Zareena née Lateef were Indian “5-year slaves” of the British and Australians in Fiji [16, 17]. The conditions of Chinese indentured labourers in the Transvaal led Winston Churchill (British imperialist, and later responsible for the WW2 Bengali Holocaust but lauded for his opposition to German Nazism) to famously opine: “The conditions of the Transvaal ordinance … cannot in the opinion of His Majesty’s Government be classified as slavery; at least, that word in its full sense could not be applied without a risk of terminological inexactitude” [18].
The term “neo-Nazi” is widely applied these days to describe far right, racist, White Supremacist and extremist groups that variously resemble the utterly repugnant and genocidal German Nazis (National Socialists) who ruled Germany in the period 1933-1945 and murderously ruled most of Europe during the 1939-1945 World War 2 (WW2).
The utter repugnance for the German Nazis and their collaborators lies in the horrendous death toll of WW2 (40 million deaths in the European theatre and 50 million deaths in the Asian theatre) and the extremely violent racism, bigotry, and murderous intolerance of difference, culminating in genocidal wars involving horrendous mass murder of political opponents, dissenters, the mentally and physically disabled, homosexuals, Gypsies (Roma), Jews, Slavs (notably in Poland, Yugoslavia and countries of the Soviet Union), and prisoners of war (POWs, notably Polish, Serbian and Soviet POWs).
However interpretation today of past and present Nazism and current application of the terms “neo-Nazi” and “fascist” is complicated by the following:
(a). Nazism, fascism and conservative economics.
There is massive past and present enthusiasm for the neoliberal economics of the kind that rescued Germany from the Depression and as variously illustrated by Italian fascism, US Reaganomics, UK Thatcherism, and contemporary general fervent adoption of globalization, neoliberalism and the market. Indeed major US corporations backed the rise of Nazism as a counter to Russian Communism, and it is argued that the rapid economic and military transformation of Germany under the Nazis could not have happened without huge financial and technical support from major US corporations [19, 20]. Right-wing political and corporate Establishment figures in the US (e.g. Henry Ford, Prescott Bush), the UK (e.g. King Edward VIII, Sir Oswald Mosley), and Australia (e.g. Robert Menzies) were impressed with the German economic “miracle”.
(b). Western colonialism, Nazi German imperialism and Arendt’s “Alliance Of Mob and Capital”.
Philosopher Hannah Arendt found common causes of genocidal Western European colonialism and imperialism on 5 continents and genocidal 20th century fascism as an alliance between the Mob and Capital, with a commonality in this union of extreme nationalism, lying, rapacity, atrocity-justifying racism and anti-humanism. Today American Trumpism is ferociously anti-intellectual, anti-humanist, nationalist and racist, with genocidal Trump threats to “totally destroy” or “obliterate”. Rampant US Trumpism is paralleled by UK Brexiteers, and by burgeoning Central European, Brazilian and Australian neo-fascists and Trumpists. Just as the capitalist Establishment used jingoism, nationalism and egregious racism to enthusiastically involve “the Mob” in the genocidal crimes of Western European colonialism and imperialism on 5 continents, so the same device enabled popular support for genocidal Nazi German crimes against Europeans in Europe in WW2, for genocidal crimes of fascist Italy against Libyans and Ethiopians, and no doubt for the genocidal crimes of Imperial Japan against China. War is the penultimate in racism and genocide the ultimate in racism [21-23]. Sven Lindqvist made the same connection between genocidal Western European colonialism and the genocidal mid-20th century Nazi German “lebensraum” imperialism, with the former white-washed by mendacious media, politicians and academics [24].
(c). History is written by the victors, differential acknowledgment of Allied, Axis and post-WW2 US Alliance war crimes, and white-washing the WW2 Bengali Holocaust.
Westerners in particular are given an extraordinarily biased history of WW2. Thus Westerners are familiar with Allied war dead, the undoubted evils of Nazi German and Japanese militarism, the huge losses of the Soviet Union, the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed), and the bombing of cities by both sides. However while most Westerners are aware of 6 million Jews killed in WW2, they are unfamiliar with the horrendous numbers of other people killed in WW2, notably 6 million Poles, 27 million Soviet citizens, 35-40 million Chinese, and indeed 9 million Germans killed (1939-1950) as compared to 0.4 million dead from the UK and British Empire (excluding famine deaths in India) and 0.4 million US deaths [25]. However resolutely ignored is the horrendous 1942-1945 WW2 Bengali Holocaust (WW2 Indian Holocaust, WW2 Bengal Famine) in which the British with food-denying Australian complicity deliberately starved 6-7 million Indians to death in Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Assam for anti-Japan strategic reasons [27-36]. Indeed Winston Churchill, who hated Indians and was responsible for the WW2 Bengali Holocaust, excluded any mention of this immense atrocity from his Nobel Prize-winning, 6 volume “The Second World War” (see my book “Jane Austen and the Black Hole of History” [35]).
(d). Racist and mendacious weaponizing of WW2 and the WW2 Jewish Holocaust by genocidally racist Zionists and the all-European, anti-Semitic, holocaust-denying and Zionist International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).
The genocidally racist and hence neo-Nazi Zionists, the all-European, anti-Semitic, holocaust-denying and Zionist International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) (of which Australia is a member), racist Western and White Australian Mainstream journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes, and Australian Coalition and Labor politicians falsely refer to the WW2 Jewish Holocaust as “The Holocaust”, thereby ignoring all other genocides and holocausts [34-36]. The West in general while rightly acknowledging the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million deaths) [37, 38], does so falsely as “The Holocaust” , ignoring some 70 other genocides and holocausts, and in particular all other WW2 Holocausts, this including (deaths in brackets) the WW2 Soviet Holocaust (27 million), WW2 Polish Holocaust (6 million), WW2 Chinese Holocaust (35-40 million), and the WW2 Indian Holocaust (6-7 million) [34-35]. The IHRA is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim critics of Israeli Apartheid as “anti-Semitic”), and holocaust-ignoring and genocide-ignoring (by ignoring all genocides and holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust). Indeed over 40 anti-racist Jewish organizations have condemned the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism [39, 40]. Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Anti-racist Jewish American scholar Professor Bertell Ollman (New York University): “Yet, the facts on the ground, when not obscured by one or another Zionist rationalization, show that the Zionists are the worst anti-Semites in the world today, oppressing a Semitic people as no nation has done since the Nazis” [41] (for similar expert opinions on genocidally racist Zionism from Jewish and non-Jewish scholars and writers see [41-44]).
(e). Massive lying by omission and lying by commission in the West and by Zionist-subverted and US lackey Australia.
Mainstream Western and Australian journalist, editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes have an entrenched culture of egregious lying by omission and Orwellian falsehood [45, 46]. Australia is one of the first countries to have free speech, democracy, female suffrage, free trade unions, the 8 hour working day, universal health care, free secular education, and later free university education (introduced by the patriotic and progressive Whitlam Labor Government and then rescinded by the US lackey Hawke Labor Government). Nevertheless there is rampant Orwellian falsehood in neoliberal Australia, and there are literally scores of huge realities resolutely ignored by the West and the similarly mendacious, Zionist-subverted, and US lackey Mainstream Australia [43, 44]. Thus, just for several examples in the area of Australian war crimes, Mainstream Australian journalist editor, politician, academic and commentariat presstitutes resolutely hide Australia’s food-denying complicity in the WW2 Bengali Holocaust that took 6-7 million Indian lives [27-36], and Australian complicity in the following atrocities (deaths from violence and imposed deprivation in brackets): post-1950 US Asian wars (40 million), the Iraqi Holocaust (5 million), the Afghan Holocaust ( 7 million), the Palestinian Genocide (2 million), and the post-9/11 Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide (32 million) [34-36]. These immense Elephant–in-the-Room atrocities are totally ignored by racist and mendacious Mainstream West and Australia. Thus a Search for these terms on the ABC News (the ABC is the Australian equivalent of the similarly racist and mendacious UK BBC) yields zero reportage. Instead Mainstream Australian presstitutes concentrate on sports results, economic indicators, crime, disasters and huge coverage of “who said what to whom” sex and corruption scandals involving public figures. Lying by omission is far, far worse than repugnant lying by commission because the latter at least permits public refutation and public debate (subject to censorship by Mainstream gate-keepers of course) [45-50]. Like Big Brother in George Orwell’s “1984” the Zionist- and US-subverted Mainstream West and Australia declare that Slavery in Freedom, War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength, and 2 plus 2 does not equal 4.
(B ). Set out below are examples of neo-Nazism-style behaviour in 6 key areas of the Zionist- and US-subverted Australian Labor Government, noting that neo-Nazi is as neo-Nazi does.
(1). The Australian Labor Government voted No to the UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution.
While Australia merely abstained from the annual UN General Assembly Anti-Nazi Resolution under the Right-Extreme Right Coalition Government, under Labor Australia shockingly voted No with the US, Ukraine and numerous US Alliance countries. Even neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel voted Yes for 6 million obvious reasons [51-54].
(2). The Australian Labor Government supports the all-European, racist, anti-Semitic, holocaust-denying, pro-Apartheid and substantially genocide-complicit International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).
Under Labor Australia continues to belong to the set of 35 countries that are members of the anti-Semitic and holocaust-ignoring International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). Of these 35 soiled, pro-Apartheid countries: (1) all are European; (2) the 5 located outside Europe (Argentina, Australia, Canada, Apartheid Israel, and the US) were all created based on the genocide of the Indigenous People; (3) 9 members were part of the genocidal WW2 Nazi Germany Alliance; (4) 4 (the US, UK, France and Apartheid Israel) are nuclear terrorist states; (5) 28 belong to the 30-member nuclear-armed NATO that accepts mass incineration of billions of men, women and children as an acceptable military strategy and was involved in the 2-decade Afghan Holocaust (7 million dead, mostly children and women); (6) 14 were notably involved in the brutal conquest and genocide of Indigenous non-European people over 5 centuries; (7) only 2 (Austria and Ireland) have had the moral decency to sign and ratify the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW); and (8) all but 4 shockingly voted No to the annual UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution in 2022 that condemns Nazism, neo-Nazism and related racist obscenities [9].
The IHRA Definition of anti-Semitism is anti-Jewish anti-Semitic and anti-Arab anti-Semitic (by falsely defaming anti-racist Jewish, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim critics of Apartheid Israeli crimes as “anti-Semitic”) and egregiously holocaust denying by ignoring about 70 holocausts and genocides, and in particular ignoring all WW2 holocausts other than the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million killed), notably (deaths in brackets) the WW2 Polish Holocaust (6 million), WW2 Soviet Holocaust (27 million), WW2 Chinese Holocaust (35-40 million) and the WW2 Bengali Holocaust (Indian Holocaust, Bengal Famine; 6-7 million) [27-36].
(3). The Australian Labor Government supports genocidally racist, neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence the evil crime of neo-Nazi Apartheid.
Many supporters of the South African Afrikaaner National Party Apartheid policies were imprisoned during WW2 for being pro-Nazi. By 1948 they had won government and installed neo-Nazi Apartheid in South Africa. Indeed in a paradoxical coincidence 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the launch in 1948 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), of neo-Nazi Apartheid in South Africa by the newly-elected neo-Nazi Afrikaaner National Party, and of genocidal Apartheid Israel in Palestine by the neo-Nazi Zionist settler-colonialists who murderously depopulated Palestine by murderously expelling 800,000 Palestinians (half of its Indigenous Palestinian population) in the 1948 Nakba (Catastrophe) [55-58]. The Zionist Australian Labor Government voted No to UNGA recognition of the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, consistently votes with the US and other US lackeys against Palestinian human rights at the UNGA, rejects recognition of the State of Palestine (even though such recognition is official Labor Party policy), has declared the biggest Palestinian political party, Hamas, to be a terrorist organization, and extraordinarily falsely denies the actuality of Israeli Apartheid and even of the 1967 onwards Israeli Occupation of all of Palestine [9, 59].
Despite a century-long and continuing Palestinian Genocide the 7.5 million Indigenous Palestinian Subjects of Apartheid Israel represent over 50% of the Apartheid Israeli Subjects but 73% of them – the 5.5 million Occupied Palestinians – are prevented from voting for the government ruling them i.e. they are subject to egregious Apartheid as perceived by anti-racist scholars, leading international human rights organizations Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, as well as by Palestinian and Israeli human rights groups including al-Haq, Yesh Din and B’Tselem. Under Labor or the Coalition, Australia is second only to the US as a supporter of neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel [60].
(4). The racist and mendacious Australian Labor Government gives practical support to neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel, its ongoing Palestinian Genocide, and neo-Nazi Zionist Big Lies.
Australia comprehensively supports neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and its ongoing Palestinian Genocide by (a) international support, (b) 75 years of non-recognition of the State of Palestine (in keeping with the false assertions of the genocidally racist Zionists of “A land without a people for a people without a land” [61], (c) military cooperation and co-research in Zionist-subverted Australian universities [62, 63], (d) tax-deductible Australian financing of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine [64], (e) toleration of US spying on Australians and supply of bulk intelligence on Australians to Apartheid Israel [65-70], (f) trade with neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel [58], (g) toleration and active assistance to Apartheid Israel and its traitorous Zionist agents in damaging, deceiving and subverting Australians, Australian institutions and Australia [65-70], (h) threatening academics and university students by the false and anti-Semitic IHRA Definition of anti-Semitism, [71, 72], and (i) actively normalizing neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel despite it being a nuclear terrorist, racist Zionist-run, genocidally racist, serial war criminal, grossly human rights-abusing , serial war criminal, child-abusing, mother-abusing and women–abusing, democracy-by-genocide, neo-Nazi, and Apartheid rogue state [58].
The core ethos of Humanity is Kindness and Truth but the Zionists have in Orwellian fashion perverted this to the dual obscenity of Genocidal Racism and Mendacity – for an alphabetical listing of utterly shocking, false and genocidally racist Zionist assertions from Theodor Herzl (the psychopathic and racist founder of Zionism) to Benjamin Netanyahu (the present serial war criminal Apartheid Israeli PM) see [61]. Those who support neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel and hence neo-Nazi Apartheid are utterly unfit for public life and public office in a one-person-one-vote democracy like Australia.
(5). Silence is complicity – Nazi Germany invaded 35 present-day countries, and Australia invaded 85 countries but there is no “Sorry” from the pro-war, racist and neo-Nazi Australian Labor Government over Australian war crimes.
War is the penultimate in racism, and genocide the ultimate in racism. Genocidally racist Nazi Germany invaded the territory of 35 present-day countries, caused some 40 million deaths, and at the post-WW2 Nuremberg Trials was held to account with captured Nazi leaders being tried and thence punished. After WW2 and the end of genocidal Nazism and of the killing, the Germans adopted a CAAAA (C4A) protocol involving Cessation of the killing, Acknowledgement of the crimes, Apology for the crimes, Amends for the crimes , and Assertion of never again to anyone. Unfortunately Germany failed to live up to this ideal – like Australia and nearly all members of the evidently neo-Nazi IHRA, Germany voted No to the annual UNGA Anti-Nazi Resolution (even neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel voted Yes for obvious reasons) [54], and like Australia and the NATO members constituting most members of the neo-Nazi IHRA, Germany participated in the US-imposed post-9/11 Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide and specifically in the 2001-2021 Afghan Holocaust and Afghan Genocide (7 million Afghan deaths from violence and imposed deprivation) [34-36, 73-80].
Neo-Nazi Australia has comprehensively failed on CAAAA (C4A) – it has offered no Acknowledgement, no Apology, no Amends nor any Assertion of “never again” for its immense crimes as a UK and thence a US lackey in invading about 85 countries with huge attendant deaths of millions through violence and imposed deprivation [34-36, 73, 76, 81-84]. Australians were also variously involved with the US, UK and Apartheid Israel in effecting regime change in the following Indo-Pacific countries: Indonesia (1960-1965), Laos (1960), Cambodia (1970), Chile (1973), Australia (1975), Fiji (1987), Fiji (2000), and Australia (2010) (neo-Nazi Apartheid Israel being involved in the latter 3 coups) [83- 86]. Mendacious and neo-Nazi Australia ignores these coup atrocities and the carnage in which it has been complicit as a US lackey since the end of WW2 [87-90]. Indeed via the joint Australia-US Pine Gap electronic spying base in Central Australia, serial war criminal Australia continues to target illegal and devastating US drone attacks on 6 countries, namely Libya, Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Of course all war crimes should be properly investigated and those responsible arraigned. Presently 39 alleged unlawful killings of Afghans by Australian soldiers are being investigated. However 6 million Afghans have been passively murdered by the US Coalition (including Australia) over the last 2 decades through Occupier non-provision to the conquered Afghans of life-sustaining food and medical services that must be provided by the Occupier “to the fullest extent of the means available to it” according to Articles 55 and 56 of the Fourth Geneva Convention (the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War). This immense war crime by Australian and US Coalition politicians is 6,000,000/39 = 154,000 times worse than the alleged 39 unlawful killings by Australian soldiers. I have repeatedly urged that before any Australian soldiers are indicted for war crimes in Afghanistan the politicians who sent them there (and indeed all complicit politicians) should be indicted for grossly violating the Fourth Geneva Convention. Several elite Australian veterans have privately strongly agreed with me [81].
The 235-year and ongoing Australian Aboriginal Genocide is qualitatively the worst genocide in human history because of the 350-700 unique languages and dialects in 1788 only 120 survive today and all but 20 are endangered [91-100]. In 2008 Australian Labor PM Kevin Rudd famously offered a national “Sorry” for the Stolen Generations (about 100,000 Indigenous Australian children forcibly removed from their mothers in a continuing process of Australian Aboriginal Genocide and Ethnocide). Unfortunately Indigenous Australian children are still being forcibly removed from their mothers and at a record rate [101-105]. No Apology has been offered for the 235 year and continuing Australian Aboriginal Genocide. The mendacious, spin-driven and cowardly Australian Labor Government has a significant merit in that it is marginally better for the poor and disadvantaged and in some other respects than the awful Right-Extreme Right Coalition. However when it comes to enthusiasm for US wars and ignoring the attendant huge war crimes Australian Labor and the Coalition are almost indistinguishable. Thus Australia was involved in all post-1950 US Asian wars, atrocities associated with 40 million Asian deaths from violence and imposed deprivation. The Coalition supported all these atrocities whereas US lackey Labor was involved in all of these atrocities except for the Vietnam War and the Iraq War [34].
(6). Terracide (Earth-killing) is the ultimate in mass murder but the neo-Nazi Australian Labor Government has utterly betrayed Humanity by inaction over the existential threats from nuclear weapons and climate change.
Nuclear weapons and climate change acutely and existentially threaten Humanity [106-111] but the neo-Nazi Australia Labor Government has utterly failed to address these 2 key existential threats [112- 117]. Thus a nuclear exchange would generate a nuclear winter that would wipe out most of Humanity and the Biosphere [106, 108]. In the continuing absence of requisite action on record greenhouse gas (GHG) pollution, record population growth, and endless neoliberal economic expansion, a worsening Climate Genocide is set to kill 10 billion people en route to a sustainable human population in 2100 of only about 1 billion [107-109].
Silence is complicity, and the Australian Labor Government, while fully apprised by scientists and economists, ignores Australian involvement in immense crimes against Humanity ranging from complicity in US subversion, war crimes, invasions, occupations, ethnic cleansing, covert regime change, nuclear terrorism and deadly global South poverty to Australia being among world leaders in 16 areas of terracidal climate criminality. Australia with 0.33% of the global population is responsible through its huge Domestic and Exported GHG pollution for 5.4% of the world’s total annual GHG pollution [112-117].
Australia is intimately connected with US nuclear terrorism via the Central Australia Pine Gap electronic spying base, hosting nuclear-armed B52 bombers, and hosting nuclear-armed US warships. The US lackey Australian Labor Government refuses to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) despite such ratification being Labor Party policy. The likely reason for this Labor Government betrayal of the Labor Party and Humanity is that such ratification would preclude Australia’s close ties to the nuclear terrorist states of the US, UK and Apartheid Israel [112-114]. This failure also makes Australian cities key nuclear targets in any escalating nuclear exchange. The US lackey Australian Labor Government has further approved purchasing 8 nuclear-powered submarines for A$360 billion that will lock Australia into US and UK nuclear terrorism for decades.
